Ground Care Landscaping LLC

In the fall of 2018 I contracted Ground Care Landscaping LLC to perform a yard clean up. I was quoted a fair price and told there was a several week delay in service due to weather and being overbooked. This was fine as the price was fair and I called late in the season. When the yard clean up was finally complete, the work was done well, though not quite as well as I would have expected for the estimated price. The issue comes in where the crew at my house drove a piece of equipment into the gate of my vinyl fence destroying it. They then tried to rig it back together and say it was fine. However the gate wouldn't latch or close properly, and when opened the vinyl panel falls to the ground off the hinges. I was eventually contacted by the main office that agreed to correct the issue. However they claimed the fence was installed "wrong" to begin with. Keep in mind, the gate opened and closed securely prior to someone driving through it.... Well now almost 8 months later, no one has ever shown up to fix the gate and I am going to be stuck footing the bill for it. I would never do business with or trust this company again.

They are very thorough and efficient. You don't have to ask twice. Pricing is very reasonable. They are honest and hardworking people. They show up right away.

Completed project still looks great after the rough 2018 winter, but it took 4 months after signing agreement ( for the work to begin. We understood delays for weather and family emergencies, but at one point GCL tried to blame us for a delay, which wasn’t true. We also had to beg them to come back and fill in a large crack between the end of the paver walkway and the asphalt sidewalk, which they finally agreed to do. So, we weren’t thrilled with their customer service attitude.

good except it was early december and many leaves were frozen to the ground... but not much could be done about those.

great! they were very quick to respond, made good suggestions that were needed for the spring clean up but nothing that was over the top or unnecessary.

Very well as always 5 straight years of fantastic service across all fields. Response time is impecable.
No increase in contract pricing or surprise extra charges.

Free advice was always given on design.

Did everything we asked, looked great in the end.

Everyone at Ground Care was a pleasure to work with.  They were all friendly, professional, punctual, and informative about what they were doing.   They seemed to enjoy working together and took pride in their hard work.  The manager, Jovin, came out a couple of times to discuss the job.  He was very helpful, pleasant, and professional.   He always returned my calls and e-mails.   I appreciated the good communication between us.  
The yard looks great.    I have no doubt if there are any problems, they will take care of them.  I will not hesitate to have them again for future jobs.

The work that they actually did turned out very well, but they subcontracted some of the work and that has been dragging on and on and on and it's still not completed. They did not manage the subcontractors. They just said, "We talked to this vendor and they're willing to do the work for this much money. We don't have the right equipment, so I said, "Okay." But then, I was sort of on my own with the new contractor.

The crew was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.  Since I am not good at design, I gave them free reign to design the front area and asked them to use existing perennials from all over the yard, many of which needed thinning.  I also asked them to use large rocks that I had in the yard as part of the design.  They did an amazing job!  They had great suggestions, asked for my feedback when they had to veer from the overall plan due to  ledge, etc.  They responded quickly to changes I requested.  The management also came by periodically to check on the job and to check in with me to make sure I was satisfied.  I would highly recommend them!

It's hard to even write this review because they did such a good job I'm worried it will sound fake, but they were GREAT.  They replied promptly to my inquiry, followed up well and were so customer service oriented.

We met at my house and I walked through the front and back yard where I pointed out my wish list of things to get done on a limited budget.  We walked through everything, with great suggestions on prioritizing the jobs.  I tried to give a check, but the answer was:  well, we want to make sure you are happy first.

That Saturday, 5 guys rolled up with enough equipment to handle ANYTHING.  They were HAPPY at work, seemed to like each other and knew what they were doing.  These aren't just guys cutting the grass---they are professionals who know how things grow/work and how to make things look great.  They made recommendations and did ALL the little things (and I mean ALL) that made a big difference.

4 hours later, our front and back yard were transformed.  The followup has been great--they checked in to make sure I was happy.  Highly recommend to any customer who wants a professional company taking care of them.

I consider myself one of the more Fussy people around, and I'm going to give Ground care a 5 star rating...!!!..I have one of those properties than makes my neighbors druel when they walk or drive by, so I take tons of pride in my Landscape, design, shrubs, and lawn...And I will go out of my way to recommend them to  anyone!!...Acutally, my next door neighbor is using them tomorrow...I would have given them a higher rating if they had one.. Be aware, there are a lot of butchers out there, so hire these guys the first time and get the job done right!!

Excellent experience. Gregory came out the next day to walk through the property, identify what areas needed the most attention and to work up an estimate. My yard was in poor shape (from years of my neglect) and needed quite a bit of work to get it to a more presentable state. We scheduled the work - two landscapers came out and did a tremendous job. The difference in curb appeal is night and day. This was a huge amount of tedious work to be done to clear out overgrown bittersweet vine, weeds in the flower beds, reshape holly bushes and more. They also hauled away all of the debris along with other brush that had been accumulating in the yard. Great company to work with, and look forward to calling on them for any future landscape needs.

They were great. We went with them due to a combination of price, responsiveness and schedule.

I've used Ground Care Landscaping LLC a few years ago and was impressed with their service.
This year I needed landscaping services again, so I went directly to Angie's List and contacted them through the site.  I provided some dates for my ability to meet and walk through to determine and estimate and date of work .  I received a call back within a day or two to confirm an appointment time.
On the day of the appointment at the precise time agreed upon, Glen walked with me through my yard where I explained the work I wanted done.  He told me that the work could be done within a week or two (depending on the weather) and the cost would be about the same as two years ago.  He did say that it could be a bit higher since I wanted a tree removed that was in in a difficult spot (near power lines).  I agreed to have the service performed.
About two weeks later, I came home from work and found that work had been performed around the perimeter.  The job looked professional as well as the clean up.  The following day when I came home from work, I saw the remainder of the work was performed.
Everything I asked for was completed to my expectations and in some cases exceeded my expectations.  I received the bill a few days later and I was pleased to fine the price in line with what I had paid two years ago.
