Gary Fialkosky Lawn Sprinklers

Gary's team does good work--they're efficient, competent, and friendly. Unfortunately, Gary's billing practices are a bit of a bait and switch. Gary told me during quoting that he worked on a "Time and Materials" basis. This is true in only the loosest sense of the phrase. His materials are marked up 4-5x what you could buy them at retail--I was charged well over $700 for $150 in materials. When he gave me the quote he told me "it'll be no more than $1800, and I'm not the sort of guy that it magically always ends up at $1800." I'm sure nobody reading this will be surprised to find out that the bill came to exactly $1800. I don't mind paying fair value for services (I paid my invoice promptly in this case), and if he'd been up front with me about his pricing I'd be fine with it. I don't like being played for a sucker, though.

Gary has taken care of my sprinkler system for many years with no real problems. He came and he went. My sprinkler system worked. This spring my experience with them is quite strange and unprofessional. I would not recommend him if you want someone you can count on for resolving problems. Gary's employee came twice to turn on my sprinkler system, with no luck. He thought there was a problem with the electrical line under my yard and began to dig it up. He came a second time with no luck. Gary's office did nothing more to resolve this problem. When I called, I was told that the employee lacked the necessary experience, so they needed to send a more experienced person. They would schedule Gary, but I needed to wait. Meanwhile, several weeks have passed and my lawn thirsts for water. Gary was supposed to come yesterday morning. I called his office late morning to confirm that he was coming. I was told 12:30 then 2:30. Each time, I was told repeatedly that I didn't need to be there. Each time I repeatedly said I would wait, for I wanted to be there to understand the problem, given the failure of the previous two visits. Gary never showed up and has not returned phone calls. Maybe he does not like to be observed while working, but given the problems, as the homeowner, I needed to be on top of the situation. I can not recommend Gary Fialkowski's Lawn Sprinkler Service.

These guys are great. They are flexible with scheduling, are always on-time, very friendly and do great work for a reasonable price.

Gary and his crew did a great job with the installation of our sprinklers. He answered any questions that we had and did a great job coordinating with the contractor that was renovating our backyard. Furthermore, he uses high quality materials which is very important when in comes to installing an irrigation system. I would highly recommend Gary!

I use them year round for maintenance. They also installed our system. They are easy to get a hold of. Their prices are good, and they do a great job. They aim the sprinklers accurately so the plants and grass get the appropriate amount of water. Finally, they installed a sensor to detect if the lawn needs watering or not.
