The reviews were good for him, but I left a message about 3 weeks ago and no one every called me back.

Another company told us we needed liners. Mr. Liverman, who has many years of experience, came out inspected and cleaned our chimney and said everything was ok. Saved us lots of money.

Mr. Livermans was prompt, professional and easy to deal with.

I needed my chimney cleaned and fireplace patched because i was putting my house on the market. Erwin responded quickly, and was here within two days of my call. He didn't even charge me for patching the exposed brick. He cleaned up everything and offered to send me a report on what he could see of the chimney to include with my house-selling materials. I would definitely use him again.

Our chimney cap was partially blown off by high winds. Mr. Liverman responded to my call promptly. He suggested that we did not need an expensive duct relining, as had been suggested by another service provider. He explained the rationale for a chimney cleaning, and performed the service while I watched. He noted that the furnace exhaust duct had been inappropriately placed, and explained the rationale for a revision, which he did on the spot. The heat in our home improved at once. He also cleaned out our washing machine duct, which was partially clogged (and thus a potential fire hazard). He replaced our chimney cap, after first making sure the old one could not be reused. The bill for his services was reasonable. In my view, Mr. Liverman is tops. He explains things clearly and is unfailingly courteous. He does only necessary work. Indeed, he saved us considerable expense by advising us against extra unneeded repairs which had been recommended by another company. His charges are reasonable. And he is a delight to work with. If we need chimney work in future, I would not think of calling anyone other than Mr. Liverman.

Mr. Liverman arrived right on time and was very professional. He took the time to completely explain everything he was doing, as well as provide us with some history and tips about the care and use of our fireplace. We were very impressed with his knowledge and approachability, much like a professor. For the duration of the job, Mr. Liverman took care to ensure that our living room stayed clean. He completed the job quickly, but completely and we were so happy to be able to use our fireplace that night. Mr. Liverman also took the time to follow-up via e-mail with answers to our questions. We will definitely use Mr. Liverman's services again and recommend him highly to anyone.

From the very first phone call, I could tell that he was a good choice. He was consistently professional, polite, reliable.

Erwin was very helpful in explaining the issues of each fireplace and their useability. He cleaned one fireplace. He created a new access door to the main chimney to make it easier to regularly clean and maintain it and then cleaned it. He was prompt, professional and his suggestions were practical and he was a pleasure to work with.

I spoke to Mr. Liverman on the phone and described the work. The fireplace had several joints where the masonry was crumbling and there was a large seam with a gap behind it. He estimated the cost at $400-500 depending on how the gap would be filled in. Mr. Liverman arrived on time and was very professional. He inspected the fireplace and confirmed his estimate. The gap was filled with fireproof insulation and the seam repointed. The work took about two hours, including repointing a second seam that I hadn't even noticed and several smaller joints. His work was very neat and he left everything as he found it. The fireplace looks great.

We have used them for years. He is terribly up to date. He sends his invoices by e-mail. He has always been very prompt. He comes and leaves no mess. He comes when he says he will. He responds. He does the work well.

Liverman was very professional. He showed up on time, did the work, pointed out things that were not right, and corrected them. I liked him a lot.

It went very well. He was very personable. He had another worker with him the service took about an hour. He said the chimney shouldn't need cleaned for another three or four years. I would recommend him to anyone else that needs their chimney cleaned.

Our house is an old Victorian (1892) We have lived in it for over 26 years. When our furnace was serviced recently, the technician from the oil company we have had from the start told us we needed a chimney sweep and probably a liner in our chimney. They had never recommended this before in 26 years of annual inspections. The words "safety" and "carbon monoxide" came up. After researching the companies on Angie's List, I decided to contact Mr. Liverman because of his reputation for quality, as well as honesty in not recommending unnecessary work. He said our chimney did not need cleaning or a liner. Mr. Liverman did notice some repointing of brickwork needing to be done at the base of the chimney and said he could take care of that for us if we chose to. Mr. Liverman is very professional and easy to talk to. There was no hard sell or pressure about the work. It is a pleasure to work with someone who doesn't try to scare you into doing costly unnecessary repairs. We are going to have him do the small brickwork job and will certainly use him for any other relevant projects that come up in the future.

Overall, the experience was great. E. Liverman was polite on the phone and showed up exactly when he said he would. He performed the necessary work in a thorough yet efficient manner and completely cleaned up when he was done. I like the fact that he performs all the work himself and would definitely recommend him to others.

Erwin called before arriving to let me know he was running ten minutes late, showed up and was very nice and professional. Told me chimney needed some minor cleaning(it has not been used for many years). He did the work and cleaned up afterwards. He did a great job and would use him again.

In every way, they were outstanding. They checked two chimneys, cleaned out 3 fireplaces, were punctual, responsible, meticulously neat, friendly. Such a pleasure to deal with! I definitely will call them again. We will have them install copper chimney caps!

I was able to get an appointment quickly at a time convenient for me. He made some suggestions for future work we might want to consider that would help the boiler be more efficient, but did not pressure us into doing this. We liked his honesty and professionalism. This is the second time I used him and I would certainly call him again.

Erwin came by to give us an estimate within 24 hours of our call. He started the work on the first nice day after we committed to it. We weren't home when they did it, but they finished in one day and left the steps covered in a sheet. They came back a couple days later to remove the covering and to clean up the bricks a bit more.

Mr. Liverman was punctual and professional. He thought our chimneys were in reasonable shape. Gave us advice on how to maintain the good quality. Could have suggested some maintenance work, but thought "if it was him, he doesn't think we need the work done." We thought he was fair, thorough, thoughtful and honest. He gave us good information and was a pleasure to work with.

He was terrific in all ways & left barely a bit of dust after finishing such a dirty job. Keep up the great work.
