Absolute Precision fixed our water heater----on a weekend at great cost. They mentioned that we might see "dripping" continuing from a new value they installed and suggested we call if it continued more than a week. It did and we did. The original repairman returned to fix the problem. I was shocked by the suggestion that we would owe still more money. I even tried speaking with the owner---who screamed so loudly the repairman could hear. The repairman, bless his heart, told me to expect a call back apology from the owner. None came. I still paid the company the extra money, but I would NEVER recommend their services.

After having just had a bad experience with another plumbing company (see my review of R.P. McLaughlin Co., Inc.), I called Absolute. I reached Kenny immediately and told him our problem. He recognized the issue right away, and recommended that we attach a hot water holding tank to our boiler. He came out promptly to look at our system and confirmed his recommendation. (He did not charge for this visit.) At our request, he sent us a copy of his insurance certificate. We made an appointment to do the work 1-1/2 weeks later and he and his crew arrived promptly. It was a big job that took a full 8 hours to complete. Piping had to be run from the burner to the tank and there was a lot of welding. At one point, an electrician arrived at Absolute's expense to complete the wiring. In other words, the plumbers did not try to be electricians and we did not have to get involved with trying to coordinate with another company. They handled it all. The work was done cheerfully and in a very workmanlike manner. When Randy went out to get a part, he let me know when he was leaving and when he would be back. Everyone who was on the job was introduced to me so that I did not have to worry about strangers in the house. They neatly moved materials in the workroom that were in the way and they cleaned up when they left. They were careful about locking the bulkhead and closing inside doors and outside gates to protect our pets. We now have more hot water than we could possibly use. Not only that, but 4 days after the work was completed, on a Sunday, Kenny called to make sure that we were satisfied with the job. I highly recommend this company. They have not been on Angie's List long enough to accumulate a lot of reviews, but as far as I am concerned, they do an excellent and professional job and certainly deserve to be considered. Kenny says that once he does work for you, he wants you to be so pleased with the job that he will be your plumber forever. Works for me! I give them an A+.

We've worked with Randy from Absolute Plumbing for years now. He's our go-to plumber based on his professionalism and his familiarity with our local water issues. This visit was one in a series of repairs on our shower--we finally went ahead and replaced the entire fixture on Randy's recommendation, which was good timing as one of the pipes was ready to break. The hot water heater was also ready to go so we replaced that as well. Randy came out on a Tuesday morning after we called due to no hot water. He relit the pilot light and took a good look at the water heater, then suggested we replace it. He gave us an estimate for the hot water heater then took a look at the shower and gave us an estimate on that work as well. He came back the next morning to do the work. He arrived on time, tackled the hot water heater first and completed that in a timely manner. Due to some challenges in the space, he had to get additional parts and the job took a little longer than expected. He then replaced the shower/tub valve and left mid to late afternoon. The whole time he was friendly, professional and courteous. He's great with our big dog and very friendly with us. As a woman hiring contractors, I sometimes encounter challenging attitudes from them but never from Randy, he's just a nice guy. He helped us select the right shower/tub valve for our setup and we're extremely happy with the product. It looks great and works beautifully.

We called for an appointment because we were concerned that the furnace was not performing well in the cold weather. We were able to get an appointment promptly, at our convenience. They arrived on time and inspected the furnace and gave us an estimate of the work. They needed to go away to get the expansion tank and they returned an hour later, as promised. They completed the work and we were satisfied with the work they did. The furnace operates better and keeps the house warm. All work was performed cheerfully and in a professional manner. We have been customers of Absolute Precision for twenty years and have always found them to be reliable, responsive, and helpful.

Ken Roberts was a pro throughout the whole project. His price was very competitive but, more importantly, he was easy to work with and did very good work. There were many judgment calls along the way (whether or not to add a stainless water tank off of the boiler, whether to install the boiler at the beginning or wait until the end, how to route some of the plumbing lines). Though I was not expert and had some reservations at points, Ken's recommendations turned out the be spot on. And, when we had some inevitable changes to the project, he was professional and fair in the change orders. Overall, I'm fan. Good quality work at a competitive price. Zero drama and someone I've called for subsequent work I've needed done.

Plumber arrived promptly at 8:00am. The work took almost 7.5 hours. He began with the dishwasher hook up, and leveled the dishwasher and adjusted the feet to wedge it into the countertop somewhat. He had to drill through my cabinet to thread the lines, and organized those holes in appropriate places. When installing the faucet and the instant hot faucet, he confirmed with me the orientation of the bases before screwing them down. He had not installed my brand of faucet (Delta Touch), but he carefully read the directions and made it fit. Securing the instant hot to the inside of the cabinet, the screws were too long and have gone through the cabinet to the adjacent cabinet by 1/4", but as that is for slide out garbage, there is no real issue, and I am not unhappy with the final installation which has been thoughtfully placed for easy access when any future repair or replacement is needed. The garbage disposal went in smoothly. Afterward, he cleaned up, and left my kitchen in good shape. I called for service in mid November as a result of a wrinkle in my kitchen renovation. Ken promptly filed a permit for the work and gave me a quote. However, the quote had to be increased shortly thereafter because the cost of permits in Melrose had increased since Ken last got one, although I will note that Absolute Precision was already doing plumbing work on another house on my street at this time. The work was scheduled with a week lead time to coordinate with the installation of the cabinets and the countertop. After the installation, Ken diligently followed up with the city to arrange an inspection of the work, and kept me advised me of the status of the inspection after each conversation with the city.

I had low water pressure in my bathroom and other plumbers were telling me I had to add a booster unit. Absolute Precision tested the water pressure from the street and showed me that the other plumbers were wrong. The pressure was great at the street. The problem was caused by the old water heater that had gunk filling up the nipples on the heater. They saved me hundreds of dollars by correctly diagnosing the cause. It took a substantial amount of time to drain the old system and pipe into the new system, but Ken worked tirelessly to accomplish it quickly and ensure I had hot water again. Every estimate has been exactly what was billed. There is a standard price list that the plumbers will show you, so you know the costs are consistent time after time. However, the best money I spend with Abosolute Precision is my "Annual Copper Club Membership". Annual copper club membership gives clients 25% off general service and repair prices. You also receive call priority, so you go to the top of the list when appointments are booked. Finally, membership also gives you an annual inspection of your home. They have identified rusted pipes, cracking seals and other potential problems, before leaks occur. I also text Absolute Precision with questions and they get right back to me with answers. We can diagnose over the phone whether a visit is necessary. They have also advised me on appliance purchases and what I need from the vendor vs. the plumber. I think Absolute Precision is the best around.

Overall it went great! I called them in a panic on Sat night and they quickly came out to stop the leaking. First thing Monday morning they came out and replace the heater. The price they quoted me was the price I paid. No extra charges. They were neat and clean. Very professional. I am very happy and would recommend this company to everyone!

It went very well. We didn't have any hot water, and they were able to come on the same day to replace the hot water heater and they took the old one away without leaving a mess or anything. I would recommed them to anyone!

After doing some research their offer was competitive to other companies. I have been using this company for approximately 20 years. The plumbers are local so they remember us and it makes for a personal feeling. Even on a cold winter day when they were very busy with other work they still made it out that day to help us out.
