They came right on time. They were so clean and tidy I almost didn't know they had come. When I called to check I was responded to promptly and with courtesy. Then the person called me back to confirm that the work was done. Very responsive. I will most certainly be using them again.

Went wonderful. Technician was prompt and friendly and explained what he was going to do.

I end up not using this deal, extra repair and cost.

Wow, what a fantastic experience! They showed up on time. Very friendly and easy to communicate with. They were here for over an hour and clearly put in quality time. They also cleaned the snow blower and it looks brand new again! Great experience and will be using them again. Strongly recommend.

Excellent service, professional, helpful, punctual and thorough. Even pointed out some helpful tips for maintaining the equipment. These guys, came to the house on a Sunday and even provided extras I requested like emptying the old gas container and refilling it and including extra stabilizer. Way over and above!! Awesome.

When the guys got to my house they immediately got started. They listened to the problems I had been having with my snowblower and took the extra time to look at it, correct it and make sure it ran properly. They even corrected my usual end of season routine and told me to actually store it with clean, stabilized fuel, instead of running it dry.

He just finished yesterday, and he did a great job. He knew what he was doing. My interaction with him was good. I had given my neighbor the snow blower so that he could do his driveway. The work turned out good. I was impressed with his orderliness and knowledge. I may have him come out and fix my riding lawn mower next spring.

They arrived on time the gentleman looked at my snow blower and said the transmission was gone and the parts alone would cost more than machine was worth so that is pretty much it he said he would have to charge 32.50 for service call which is fine and said I should contact Angie's List about a refund on the remainder of the money I paid.

Wainwrights small engine was a pleasure to deal with. We e-mailed several times and they were right on the mark with letting us know arrival time etc. Our engine had seized ( we had a feeling) and we chose to give snowblower to Wainwrights.They were very easy to deal with and we will use them again in the future for tune ups on our lawn mower.

along with the tune up I asked for pricing and his opinion if worth to fix the electric start. I very much appreciated his telling me he wouldn't as the machine is rather old. Great guy and will recommend him to all.

He came an looked at my snow blower. He charged $32.50 for the service call, but he advised me that the parts I would need for it to be fixed would cost more then the deal itself.

I was very impressed with the service I received. Very professional and personable. Called me the day before to confirm to make sure that the snow blower would be accessible. The snow blower was serviced right on site. I was not home at the time but my daughter informed me that the technician was here for several hours working on it. I will definitely use them again. I highly recommend them.

The company was great. They came out and did a great job. They also came when they said they would and were punctual.

Based on the trouble that I reported, they checked out the carburetor and cleaned. They recommended I try it out and see if that took care of my issue; they felt it ran fine, though it was a little off. However, rather than invest in new carburetor, they thought I should see if it ran well enough as is. After performing all of the needed maintenance, they dropped it off and said it was running reliably once again. When I tried it out for myself, I still was having trouble...I gave them a call and they said they'd be over to check it out. When I came home, I found a note explaining that I needed to adjust the engine lever to properly choke the engine when starting. I gave this a shot and sure enough, the engine fired right up...apparently I hadn't been setting the throttle to where the actual choke position was. Despite having to come out the second time, they didn't charge me for the extra visit...they told me they wanted to make sure I was satisfied. One more note...I chose Wainwright after searching Angie's List and comparing a few providers. I noted another provider had a number of bad reviews, while strangely Wainwright's were all positive. I was skeptical at first...I can tell you now that the reviews were spot on, these guys are great!

My lawn mower wouldn't start up this spring. Changing the spark plug didn't help. After calling around I decided to give Wainwright a try, even though they are kind of far away from my town. He arrived the day he said he would, worked on the carburetor, and got my mower running again. He took the time to fine tune the engine as well. I would highly recommend using Wainwright - he's a real expert on small engines, very professional, and nice to deal with. The cost was more than fair - a real bargain.

I can't tell you how pleased I was with the team of Dave & Dave (father & son). I knew nothing about them other than what I read on Angie's List...and hoped the good reviews were real. When I realized the weather was going to be good over the weekend, I called Friday just in case they might be able to squeeze me in over the weekend and get one of my three broken mowers working (I thought one of them just needed a simple tune-up). To start with, I was very pleasantly surprised when they offered to come to my house -- on a Sunday, to do the work in my driveway. They showed up on time, and went to work right away. All three of the lawn mowers are pretty old and a bit beat up, but the best of them had the worst problem. I had already brought it to another small engine repair shop last year with no success but I really didn't want to give up on it. When I told them this was the machine I really wanted repaired, they did not try to take the easy way out or say they needed to take it back to the shop. After working on the mower for a half hour, Dave, Jr actually got the mower to start to run but it still seemed to still have a bit of a problem. Dave kept looking for other problems and discovered one of the nearly-hidden parts was literally caked with mud & dirt. Once he cleaned out the problem area and changed the oil & air filter, the machine nearly purred. They other two machines had much simpler issues and were also quickly repaired. I was also pleased that Dave, Sr. offered to sharpen the mower blade rather than try to sell me a new one. They also did a great job sharpening the chain saw and it now works like a knife cutting through butter again like when it was new. They completely cleaned up after themselves, and gave me a very fair bill for the quality and quantity of work they did - especially on a Sunday! And, told me to call if there were any problems with the work they did. I'm happy to say I was able to completely finish cleaning up my front yard today.

Great experience. Wainwright can service equipment on site. We scheduled a date and talked about the job so they'd be ready. In particular the riding mower needed new front tires and we sorted out the make/model so they could get them ahead of time. They showed up on time and worked steadily throughout the visit. They discovered that two of the four bolts on the spindle housing had been broken (probably by hitting a rock or sprinkler head) and suggested that they should order the part and return on the weekend to complete the repair. They took the push mower with them and returned Saturday with the push mower ready to go, and in 45 minutes finished the work on the riding mower. I watched the final stage of the repair and was asking a lot of questions. Dave and Dave not only provided answers but went out of their way to explain what they were doing and why. Very good experience.

They came promptly and determined I needed a belt replacement. This meant they had to take it back to the shop to remove the front end. There was a storm coming in the next day so they promised to have it back in time for me to do my driveway. My drive is about 300 feet long and uphill all the way so it is critical that I clear it or I'm stuck in the house. The machine was fixed and returned the next day as promised and less than the estimate they had given me. They also dropped it off even though I was not home at the time due to traffic to pay them. They did everything they said they would do and more. I will definitely use them in the future for any other small engine repairs I need .

I am very happy with this experience with the Wainwrights. They do their work on your property - for me a boon as I don't have a trailer to take equipment to them. They're courteous, friendly, professional and punctual. I'll call them again when I need any future small engine work.

Unbelievable service and professionalism!!!! They came out in September to fix snowblower and it was running good at the time but when I went to use this past week, something must have gotten into carburetor which caused the snowblower to not run correctly. They came out this past Sunday and fixed again no questions asked and told me that they stand by their work so there would be no additional charge. They are incredibly reliable, honest, and professional.

They were very responsive via email, and definitely knew what they were talking about. We had setup for them to come out on Sunday and have a look at the blower. They were very accommodating when I had something come up on Sunday, and came out on Saturday instead. They worked on the snow blower in my garage, quickly diagnosed and resolved the issue (gunked up carb). They were also able to make some adjustments to the snow blower, which is now throwing snow further than advertised when I first bought it (I'm no longer embarrassed by my blower when the neighbor's get out their Ariens and Murray throwers). :-) Their pricing is very reasonable, combined with the fact these guys come to your house and fix it on site is just amazing! With such quality service, now I'm worried they will get too busy with clients to have time to take care of my equipment... And I have a lawn mower that needs servicing too!

I can't begin to express how happy I am with their service. They were responsive, polite, and knowledgeable. They picked the snowblower up on short notice, and they returned it in ONE DAY because we were expecting more snow. Here are the details... I needed help after my Ariens snowblower (Model ST-824) was laboring to clear a few inches of snow. When the augers were engaged, it was vibrating awkwardly, and shortly started squeaking. As I was finishing the driveway, the squeaking progressed to smoke coming out of the gear box. I assumed I needed to replace a belt or two, but was concerned that there was something more serious. I found Wainwright's online and was encouraged by their positive Angie's list reviews. I submitted an inquiry online on Sunday late morning, and by late afternoon they had responded asking if they could pick the snowblower up the following day . They showed up on time, were very polite and hauled it off. In addition to replacing the belts, they ended up taking the entire machine apart to replace the inner shaft bearing and doing a general snowblower service (plug, oil, lube gears, grease cables, etc). This was not a small job. The most amazing aspect was that they were able to drop the snowblower off the next day!!! I will use Wainwright's for every small repair in the future. I encourage anyone reading this review to try them out.
