The electrician did a "Great Job", but their prices are too expensive. - $300 to install a fan. - An outlet that cost max $30, was charged $128 + $75 for troubleshooting. I will not use them anymore.

We certainly understand your concern. The quotes provided included more than just the cost to install the fixtures. In the case of the outlet we discovered significant wiring issues that posed safety hazards that needed to be addressed before installation. Costs to install fans vary depending on the height of the ceiling. Once installations are complete we cover all our work with written guarantees.

Approaching a holiday weekend it was difficult to find a plumber to call back but that was serendipity because I ended up finding the right plumbers! Called in the morning, emailed in photos of my leaking water heater and got a new unit completely installed by two great guys by 3 pm! Couldn’t have asked for better people to work with. Re: the common wire - we actually had an unused one present, so he told me how and where to attach it, and left - no charge. Re: the service, the tech was again pleasant, well-informed ,and professional. He took his time and identified potential issues that none of the techs from another company (who had been servicing my HVAC for the past 5+ years) had ever found. Very impressed, and all for slightly cheaper than the other company - I will be sticking with this company from now on!

They have visited my home twice, - first for a free assessment concerning adding a common wire so we could install a Nest thermostat - then secondly for an annual maintenance service of our 3 furnaces. The tech was pleasant, well-informed ,and professional. He took his time and identified potential issues that none of the techs from another company (who had been servicing my HVAC for the past 5+ years) had ever found. Very impressed, and all for slightly cheaper than the other company - I will be sticking with this company from now on!

Later, they actually sent their manager Mark to take another look who is more knowledgeable for the steam radiator system and finally found several leakages from radiator supply valves and other minor issues. They gave me a quote to replace valves and vents. Since then I have been tighten the nuts over the weekend and seems to fix most of the leakages.

Wonderfully, all interactions from the estimate\scope of work visit, scheduling, installation and follow up was straightforward and as pleasant as possible.

Everything was very professional: Bruce provided very clear proposals, with options, plus information on how to obtain various rebates that substantially reduced the cost. Joe and his team, working within a fairly confined space, fit everything in beautifully. Joe also provided very complete instructions on how things worked and what I needed to do to maintain the system.

I've been using them for a while. They're prompt. They were friendly from a making an appointment perspective. They guy who came out was friendly. He was clean, quiet, and knowledgeable. They didn't try to gouge me. It was perfect.

They are great. They are pretty expensive. They are pretty professional. They are always able to address the root cause of the problem instead of just coming to fix something that looks like its broken. We just go with them cause we can be assured the problem will be fixed. There was a previous installer who did not know what they were doing with a mini split. They were terrible. We tried to have the original contractor come back and fix the problem for free over and over and then they walked out. So eventually we got Nashoba come out and fix the problem

Due to the fact I was out of hot water. Nashoba Air and Boiler works wasted no time installing my new hot water tank. Fast, friendly, clean, quality work from these people!

They were going to charge $95 per inspection point for a total of $380 assuming there were no other issues than the ones I had. This inspection fee is not waived if they then do the work and so any repairs would be on top of that. They clearly did not want my business and so I did not even bother asking about the air systems or upgrades to the furnace. It was not clear if those visits would cost $95 each as well. I understand the need to filter out time wasters, but I was shocked to be treated as one. What I liked about the website was the following comment: "Since our very beginning, Nashoba Air has serviced the geographic areas in which we were located – first Westford, then Chelmsford, and Littleton. Over the years our service areas have expanded, but we continue to value our connections to the community. We not only work here … we live here!" I was disappointed to be turned away so abruptly. I live here too and now have to go elsewhere for help.

I needed them to come out and look at a thermostat and to check on a couple of radiators that did not appear to be working, as well as check on an area of the house that has a cold spot. My intent was to get some advice on what to do with an old system and potentially invest in a new one. I was also looking to ask questions about the high velocity air systems that they had on their website.

Shawn, the owner, provided a good presentation and his prices were competitive. The installation was unnecessarily long. Shawn's subcontracted electrician installed his electrical box too close to our water heater, making it fail inspection. Shawn insisted that it was not his responsibility to move the water heater, it was ours, and at our expense. He even claimed that Nashoba didn't even install the electrical box (ahem, I was *there* when they installed it). After many back and forths among Shawn, me and the electrical inspector, Shawn emailed me that he would charge his electrician $300 to move the water heater. There were weeks of delay over this issue. Shawn was dishonest with me twice -- first, to claim that they never even installed the electrical box, and second, to claim that it passed inspection when it did not. Thank goodness for a vigilant inspector who insisted this was Shawn's responsibility, not mine. If the electricians just installed the box a few inches further away, it would have passed inspection. Never did I get an apology from Shawn acknowledging how badly this went or how inconvenient the installation was.

Nashoba Air installed a transfer station NOT the main breaker panel. The town’s electrical inspector failed the installation because the main breaker panel (which was installed by ANOTHER company from a previous job) was too close to the water heater. State codes requires 36” between the two. Shawn went to the town hall and reviewed the original permit for the main panel and realized that the town had signed off on the existing panel only a year before. When Shawn pointed this out to the inspector, he was told that the town’s previous inspector had signed off on the permit and that the new inspector either wanted both panels moved or the water heater moved. Knowing that this was caused by a previous or existing issue, we requested $300 to relocate the water heater. When the client refused to pay, Shawn offered to relocate the water heater at no cost and back charge our electrician. This issue (caused by another company) delayed the job significantly. But in the end, we rectified the problem created by another company and provided a professional job. It is unfortunate that our company is taking the brunt of another person’s mistakes.

These guys are fantastic, full stop. The whole interaction was flawless - from Bruce (sales) to Brenda (office) to Stefan, Tim and Mike (install) it was a master course on how a business should be run. They patiently explained the work and the equipment, took care of the house, were very careful on our new carpets and hardwood, and cleaned beyond expectations when they were finished. They even brought in my recycling cans!! These guys are definitely a testament to Nashoba Air's commitment to customer service. (I also work in a service industry, and seeing this level of professionalism certainly means a lot.) Some of the best value for money I've ever received.

I'd received a quote for the service over two years ago but had put the project off. I contacted Bruce again to check on getting it going. He is very responsive and remembered us and our dogs. We scheduled a time to run through the scope of the work agian. He had a quote to me within a day or two and it was easy to schedule the project. We've been very happy with using Nashoba for servicing our boiler and a/c so I expected great service again, which they delivered. The crew was respectful, kept us informed, walked us through a couple hiccups and explained how they'd solve them. We now have a separate zone for our bathroom heating which is what we preferred and the radiant heat in the master bath is awesome!! Mark was also available and responsive to the various questions we had before they even started too. Very happy with Nashoba and in love with the radiant heating for the bathroom!

We had no heat in up stair zone a couple weeks ago, obviously from air blocking the pipe. We had a technician come in to drain the air in the pipe. I don't know how competent the technician is, he was in for over an hour for a 15 minutes job and I am not sure if the heat is working since the weather has been warm. I was charged $228 even though he told me the cost was $80 plus the diagnosis fee of $95. No invoice was provided. When I called to request an invoice, and expressed my dissatisfaction with the time the technician spent and the fee not explained clearly, the service manager was abrupt and not respectful. The supervisor also rejected my complaints, told me that I signed the credit card payment and I did not provide email for invoice, he didn't see anything I should complain about. This company has no interest in improving customer service.

He found air in the hot water loop – so he bled the system as listed on the invoice. The technicians do not have printers in the field; therefore, they email invoices. We LOVE our new furnace/boiler & indirect water heater system...it is purring like a champ now...running wonderfully!! Everyone at Nashoba took (time & care) to make sure we were treated professionally, answered any & all our questions; and followed up with phone calls. We were scheduled in promptly...everyone showed up exactly on time & never stopped working till the job was done each day. It took one day to install the furnace in place & set up the first round of new pipes to plumb the system to each zone. It took a 2nd day to install & set up the indirect water heater and then finish setting up the entire system to run properly. At the end of the 2nd day...when Brian (the Test Tech) came out to run our new heat system... we had 2 zones that were not coming on. He was there for quite some time to thoroughly inspect that our new system was running up to speed but had to call the office for the plumber (Mark) to come back out again to find the source of 2 leaks. Mark came out the 3rd day and re-soldered where he found the 2 tiny leaks in the solder & all was perfect after that. We asked our Nashoba team how they liked their jobs & working for this company ...and they ALL had nothing but high regard for their boss & owner as well as for their co-workers at Nashoba. THAT ALONE..."says it all"!! When a company owner has a team of people that regards him that highly...that means its because HE is taking "good care of his people" and has the utmost respect for them as well. You (don't see that) often enough in today's "profit driven" companies that ONLY care about the "bottom line". Accolades & 2 thumbs up...to Mr. Shawn Kelly!! We look forward to continuing our great relationship with Nashoba Air & Boilerworks...& have them keep up with our annual maintenance checks & yearly cleaning.

What an impressive group of people, well run company, top notch service from the office manager & scheduler (Brenda), Dispatcher (Michelle), our comfort consultant (Tom) to the amazing team of installers (Mark & Jared) who installed & plumbed our system & to the electrician (didn't get his name) who wired our system and finally...to the Test Tech (Brian) who checked that all was operating properly!! WOW...where do you find such TEAM WORK from the "top ...down"?!!!

After going out for three bids, Nashoba Air & Boiler were selected. From the original quote process, Bruce was able to assess the job and print out a quote immediately in my home, the other two companies (both on Angie's list) took a week to two weeks to respond. After scheduling the job in late July, my oil tank, which was scheduled to be replaced, began leaking. I called Bruce and they were able to get an emergency crew in the next day to replace the oil tank! This was significant as I have a perimeter drain in my cellar and if the tank let go, it could have cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars in environmental cleanup! The balance of the job went as scheduled. Both crews, emergency and installation, were professional and courteous. They had some difficulty removing the old units (very heavy and awkward in a low ceilinged cellar) but called for additional manpower to get it done. They cleaned up well after themselves and sent another member of their team to calibrate the system. Two days later, some water began dripping from the hot water tank overflow. The tech who had calibrated the system identified the need for an expansion tank on the water heater (the boiler already had one). He ordered the tank and came in the following day and installed it - no extra charge! I was VERY pleased with the overall job from start to finish - I highly recommend them to anyone considering HVAC or boiler work.
