Description of Work: After I bought a used billiard table, I subscribed to Angies list for the sole purpose of finding a reputable billiard table moving company. That is how I found Tony and Matt. After detailed conversation about the process, Tony was able to accommodate the sellers schedule and deliver the table to my house. I knew I wanted Simonis 860 felt and Tony had samples for color selection in his van. He was able to install the Simonis 860 cloth for cheaper than I could have purchased it online ($254.00). After the felt he ordered arrived, we set up a time for installation. My basement space for the table was slightly smaller than needed. After assembling the table frame, Tony took many measurements to meticulously place the table where there would be the fewest cue restrictions. After breaking in the felt in with about 50 games of 9 ball, I was thrilled to only have the need for a short cue about 3 times. He and Matt spent about 1.5 hours doing a very professional installation and offered great information about care of the cloth and table. His prices beat the other companies ($350 to move, $250 for the Simonis 860 felt) and he was very careful with my table and my house. I highly recommend Stripes and Solids for your billiard table needs.

In addition to all of the basics that should be a part of any customer interaction (punctuality, professionalism, proactive communication, etc.), I was very impressed with the efficiency of the repair. After having been very disappointed with the quality of the previous re-felting of my pool table, I wanted to find an outfit who knew what they were doing, and I got lucky. This company did an excellent job and I will have them back in a few years when I need another re-felting.

 + -1 moreWe were very happy that we got a hold of these guys, as we were on a tight schedule and needed the table assembled before the weekend. Having had trouble trying to get another company to do the work in a prompt manner (they said they were very busy) we emailed Tony on Tuesday and he was able to schedule us in only 2 days later. When they arrived they were able to put together our table (luckily none of the parts were missing), they did the work quickly and efficiently. (Maybe a little too quickly, as they had to take the slate off and start over when I came in and noticed the table was not positioned properly and needed moving by 1 foot.) Although they could have charged us for a new felt cover (it was built into the quote), Tony re-used our existing cover, indicating it was still adequate for our needs. All in all, a good experience.

 + -1 moreThese guys are great. They were the best price by a mile, they were prompt with return calls and emails and came exactly when they said they would. They were careful, respectful and pleasant to deal with. I would use them again in a heartbeat.
Description of Work: They cam to my house in Wayland, MA took apart my Brunswick Pool Table and moved it to Wolfboro, New Hampshire and set it up in my friend's house there.
