He was very responsive to email, was careful to keep us up to date regarding his schedule on days when we needed to meet for measurements and installation. Price was competitive, installation was done carefully. He found that one of the shades had a defective part, sent it back to Hunter Douglas and returned with a replacement shade two weeks later. We're very happy with the service and end results!

 + -1 moreGreat job in keeping within my budget for nearly 20 windows in a new condo. Wanted high end, wooden blinds and got them, including installation. Wes came out, we talked about what would work and what wouldn't and then he did the measurements. Came in a few weeks later and installation took about 3 hours. Worth the price as they will last for years and the installation was phenomenal.
Description of Work: Wood blinds on 14 large windows (den, 2 bedrooms, closet, dining room, living room), 3 smaller windows (bathroom, hall and kitchen) and one for a bathroom. Installed.

He came to our new home during construction to show the electrician where to install the wires for the motorized shades and came again to measure the windows after the drywall was in. He ordered the shades and shutters and installed on time as promised. He worked very carefully to protect the new hardwood floors and freshly painted walls. He is very pleasant to work with, offers great suggestions and we highly recommend him.

 + -1 moreHere's how I describe my recent experience with Wes, owner of WTI: Superior service and excellent product from an honest, professional, and highly knowledgeable individual. I contacted Wes asking 1) if he offered a bifold shutter for a bathroom window, and 2) whether he would be willing to take on a small job. "No job is too small, I will gladly come by and take a look. I have a product that is ideal for bathrooms and can be ordered as a bifold." He came by as we scheduled, evaluated my window, offered recommendations, showed me samples. His price was reasonable and I was appreciative that he was willing to measure and install a shutter for just one window. Installation was on time, quick and went smoothly. The shutter looks fantastic in my newly renovated bathroom.

 + -1 moreI didn't like the look of cords, and because of the location of the shades (and my short stature), opening and closing by hand was not possible. Wes was very helpful in explaining the differences among 'bottom-up', 'top-down', and both bottom-up and top down shades, and helped me to decide that the top-down would work fine for my needs, which made me happy because I had thought I'd need the much more expensive bottom-up plus top-down.

After unsuccessful experiences with both a local blinds company and a local hardware store, I decided to try WTI based on Angie's list. Wes was very flexible in setting up an initial appointment and communicated very efficiently via email, which I prefer. During his initial consultation he made crisp recommendations on colors and design choices, which I really welcomed given my rather ill-formed and uncertain thoughts on these matters. The resulting quote, for Hunter-Douglas products, was only modestly greater than those I received for lessor known brands. The blinds and shades arrived on time and WTI's installation was hassle free. I did find one *very* minor blemish on one blind, but Wes cheerfully ordered and installed a replacement. I would recommend, without reservation, WTI for any window treatments project, large or small.

We had several of the chain stores come out and give us a quote (budget blinds, blinds to go) and not only were they NOT budget but they didn't have the look we wanted. They were expensive ($500 per window and we had 13 windows) and only interested in making a sale. WTI came in significantly lower in cost and Wes worked with us on the style and privacy we wanted. He was professional from the first consultation through the install. Everything was done in a timely manner and we were extremely pleased with the outcome. We have more window treatment needs and will definitely be using WTI! It's good to see local small business is alive and well!

He was quick to schedule an appointment and brought samples to help me choose exactly what I wanted in each room. He has great ideas, really knows his product and was able to offer suggestions I may not have thought of. He also worked with me also to keep the final price within our budget. Pros High quality Hunter Douglas shades Wes installs them with his small WTI team, no sub-contracting Lifetime warranty - if anything breaks he will return to fix them. Quick response Cons None.

 + -1 moreWe found Wes through Angie's list. Having always measured our windows ourselves and replaced shades one at a time, this experience was one we treated ourselves to in our new home. Wes came by to measure our windows within a few days of my first contact with him, provided an estimate (discounted it based on volume) for our selections (which he helped with), ordered the shades, and then installed them with his colleague Wayne within two weeks of our initial meeting. The price was about double what we expected the job would cost, but not having ever done this before (hence assuming that we were off in our estimates), we decided to go ahead with Wes (without getting any comparative quotes) based on the reviews here, and on the integrity with which he presents himself. Wes made the experience entirely painless for us from start to finish, and if there is a premium in the price, I think it is very well worth it.
Description of Work: Services performed included measurement of 25 windows while our house was being renovated, suggesting options for different types of shades, ordering the shades, and installing them. These 25 treatments included 6 plantation shutters (for living and dining rooms), 3 composite blinds (bathrooms), and 16 honeycomb shades. All hunter douglas.

He made some recommendations for window treatments; I really appreciated that he did not try to sell me anything more than what I needed and what would work well in the space. Wes is very professional and pleasant. I chose Hunter-Douglas wood-composite blinds for the kitchen, and cellular blinds for the office. Wes ordered the blinds and said he would contact me as soon as they were in. Within a couple of weeks, Wes set up a time with me to install the blinds. Wes was running just a few minutes late for the installation appointment, and called to let me know, which I really appreciated. He installed the blinds quickly and efficiently, leaving no mess behind, including removing the old blinds. The end result looks great. I highly recommend WTI!

Once I decided to proceed, Wes ordered the shutters and was fully able to accommodate my schedule when planning installation. The install itself went very quickly; it did not make much of a mess but, Wes cleaned up once the shutters were up. I was very impressed with Wes's preparedness and work.

I was very busy, recovering from surgery, and quite frankly just did not want to deal with a high sell, high priced sales pitch. Wes came in, sized up the job, made recommendations based on MY needs and showed me samples. We were done in record time! I have a very hard time making up my mind. This is the first time I ever did something like this so quickly. Wes is so knowledgeable he instills complete trust, and follows through. His suggestions were right on and made this such an easy chore. Now am sorry I put it off so long, expecting it to be a nightmare. Now, if only to next two jobs I need to do via Angie's list is as easy....
Description of Work: I have been wanting to put blinds in 5 different, over-sized windows . I have Hunter Douglas in the rest of the house, and wanted to keep the same line in my home for conformity. But being an artist, I was thinking of going with different looks. Well, Wes took one look, listened to my special needs (debilitating Migraines) and suggested light blockers in our bedroom (I highly recommend), and the same blind without the light block in 3 other windows. They look the same as our others from the outside for conformity. They are MUCH easier to put up and down than the others, which is important due to several hand surgeries. And for my artistic side I put a really nice Silhouette with ultra-glide in my studio. In short, within 15 minutes Wes knew EXACTLY what would fit, suggested an upscale Silhouette for the artistic side, and was done with measuring etc withing an hour. Usually I take at least 2-3 hours for decisions but Wes made it very easy, with NO hard sell. When the blinds came in, I really wanted them up for when my husband came home from a business trip, and Wes made it happen. In short, I would never go anywhere else but to Wes for my blinds. Great service, the best price on Hunter Douglas blinds with a lifetime guarantee, and he went out of his way to install quickly and professionally. Perfection at it's best!

He was very knowledgable, patient, and friendly, didn't push anything but did give sound advice based on his experience. He informed me of the differences in materials, costs, quality, and properties of each type of treatment, and has a lot of samples and photographs to look at. We selected everything from higher end (silhouette) treatments, to large bay window shades, to wooden roman shades, to basic blinds and roller shades and all of them were done correctly. He arrived right on time and installed everything perfectly and efficiently when the treatments came in. Wes and his co-installer were extremely professional and nice. Window treatments are expensive, and we didn't know what we were doing in our new home; we feel this was a terrific investment to go with Wes. We will have him return for more window treatments in the near future.

We were able to schedule an estimate quickly and when Wes was held up by weather-related traffic he called to let me know. Once the blinds had been delivered to him, Wes emailed to schedule installation and we were able to get it scheduled in only a day or two. Installation was fast and the blind looks great.
