Excellent. Joe showed up on time to give me a quote, provided multiple alternatives. We decided it was best just to replace it all rather than piece-meal. Joe came back with a quote within an hour and we scheduled the job for a week or so away. When one of his suppliers to another job had a delay, Joe called me immediately to see if I wanted the job done sooner. His guys showed up on time, were totally professional and did a wonderful job. The work was top-notch in all aspects. When I asked for some other minor things to be done, they didn't hesitate to respond. The team finished the job in one day. I am totally shocked at the high quality of work effort, professionalism, and customer service Joe and his team provided. Having dealt with many contractors, I cannot say enough good things about how they responded and did the job. The most important thing is that they did the job right, the first time, and have done so many of these jobs that they knew exactly what to do. They were the most efficient guys I have seen.

Everything went very smoothly, the guys were very nice. The dormer blocks were in a very tight space I felt bad for Jerry, laying on a very hot shingle roof trying to measure and install the flashing, it was a very hot and sunny day on the roof of the house. the windows were a bit more comfortable. They removed the old windows and required locks hinges and trim peaces, installed the new replacement windows caulked insulated and installed some new trim. Overall I am very happy with the service, and even though there was a tarp on the hardwood floors if Jerry felt like he was stepping on something he checked and removed it to insure he would not damage my floors. My goal for this project was to replace the roof (as it was leaking) and siding, as I did not want any more maintenance (such as painting it), and have the house look like new still maintaining the wooden (non siding) look. I had about 7 contractors come out. Both friend referrals and Angie's list referrals. Joe Wink (the Siding Guy) was the second contractor that came, but he impressed me so much that not even the later contractors could match him. Here is what I liked about his visit: His attention to detail of the job. Walking around the house with me, listening to my concerns and making recommendations that he would do. Taking the time to look at the project in detail and give me recommendations right at the visit. His description of the materials (and the samples). I think this was very important and many contractors did not bother to do so. Note that Joe's price was mid range, but I know its not the labor itself that had the markup, its the material he recommends. From 25' Charter Oak panels (for siding) that make it look like the house is not sided (less of those breaks in the siding) to suggesting Ice+ Shield for the entire roof (others were only going to do 3-6 feet), 3/4 insulation, and those were really important for my house because I had issues with ice dams. His description of who will be preforming the job... how long he has been doing it, his credentials, and who his crew was, not some sub-contractors that will be hired. I wanted to know who was the actual person who would do the job. Certainly other reviews on Angie's list was what caught my eye originally. His grantee... lifetime for work and parts ("as long as he keeps standing"), and he put it in writing. These factors made Joe stand out. And of course the price is also a big factor. It was not the lowest, but it was about mid range from all the price quotes that I got. I was not too picky when the job would start, but it took about 2 months once we agreed on the project. Its understandable since the contractors have some other jobs lined up plus all the rain in the past spring. Joe was always responsive when I called to check when the project would start. The project did take about 2 1/2 weeks, but there was a lot to it being both the roof and siding, as well as a few other minor side projects, the project spanned over the holidays which probably slowed it down a bit as well. Joe and his crew were always there at 7 am and worked well through 6-7 pm. I never saw them sitting down or loitering around, they were always working. His crew was very friendly as well. What I really liked as I observed the work is the attention to my ice dam issues. Even though I opted out not to strip the existing wood siding, Joe stripped it anyway in places where I had issues or where he felt there might be issues with water and ice dams, and wrapped it in water + ice then added the insulation. Joe was fine with me commenting mid project on what I wanted as I saw it and accommodated in every way possible. He even came back a week later after I found some minor visual issues I wanted him to take care of. Most contractors will side your house in a day or two, at least that's what my friends told me. I am glad this was not one of those jobs. I can see the level of detail. Joe and his crew inspected the structure of both the roof, siding and trim as they performed the work, and when they found a problem above one of my windows where the water ate away all the support (which was hidden by the trim) they took the time to replace it (it was at cost, both material and labor, but down the road it would cost me a lot more if I did not have them fix it). They took the time to show me the issue as well. There were a few other minor parts to the project like replacing some steps on my deck and a door in the back of the house, both were done during the project, and not at a later time. A few things got damaged like a window and some of the decking but Joe replaced both, no questions asked. Joe's workmanship is superior, especially in the siding and trim. His attention to detail really shows in the results of his work, and I am very happy with the way my house now looks and the care he and his crew took to complete the job. I would recommend Joe any day.

Joe Wink called me in response to a request placed in the Service Magic site back in February. We went around the house, he dropped off samples and gave me an estimate. We agreed to go ahead and I told him to come back in late April as we'd like to begin the job in early May. As promised, Joe came back in April, we finally decided on a color, textured Cape Cod Gray and copy the current configuration under the porch with Azek boards. Joe Wink aka "The Siding Guy" and his crew arrived as promised and did a wonderful job. There were some areas around doors and windows that we didn't know exactly how we wanted them done until the last minute. He was very patient and understanding with us and everything worked out fine. One of our neighbors even stopped me on the street while I was walking our dog saying how great the house looks! A good experience from an experienced guy!

I've had many contractor experiences working on household projects and this experience was easy and no stress. Even though his company is mostly an outdoor-work contractor, they will do indoor work. Will be keeping Joe and his crew in mind for my other projects.

Joe was on time when he gave an estimate and he and his crew showed up on time to complete the job. They finished it in one day and worked from 7am until 6 pm on a Friday. They asked before driving the trucks on the lawn. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure that they picked up all the nails. It is like having a new shed!

I called for an estimate he came the same day and on time. His estimate sounded great to me he was kind, polite, straight forward and to the point not a chatter box about a lot of nothing. He said he could start within two weeks... that following week supplies were dropped off at my home and the crew started a week from that date. Joe was alway easy to get a hold of for questions that I might of had he always took the time and answered everything. There was one point when the front of the shed was more than half finished and I noticed them taking the siding (which was just put on) off when I inquired as to why? The crew said, the color was slightly off from the house so they returned it and received the correct color. I know of some people who would not have said a word, because I did not see the difference, but they did and it impressed me all the more. Upon finishing, everything was cleaned up. The whole process took about two weeks from start to finish.

Starting with the estimate: I saw "The Siding Guy" working on a home just up the street. I called the number on their sign and asked them to send someone by to look at my home. Joe Wink (the owner/operator) stopped by and asked me about my needs. He measured my house and counted windows and told me he'd get back to me with a quote. He left me a sample window and siding swatches and explained my options. No big sales pitch. no pressure. The estimate was dropped off the next day and he asked me if I had any questions. The estimate was in line with other quotes we received. I asked about the workmanship and the quality of the product. He took me up the street where his team was finishing a job. He introduced me to one of his workmen and he showed me exactly what they would be putting in my home. I asked if he would recommend any other product line. He said, "I've been siding houses since I was 13 years old. I like this product the best." I asked him about his guarantee and he said in addition to the manufacturer' s guarantee, "I guarantee the work for as long as i can stand up. If anything goes wrong I'll fix it at my expense." I hired him. Joe and his team showed up on the day they promised at the time promised. They worked the entire day taking only appropriate breaks. I just a bit more than a day I had beautiful new windows. Three day later the siding was done. His staff was friendly and professional. They respected my property and cleaned up well. the work was excellent and Joe personally checked everything. His electrician even installed new fixtures for me.I have a modest home in a small neighborhood. My house is beautiful, i think the best looking house on the street. I had an unrelated problem last week (Late January) like so many others, an ice dam on my roof leaking water into the house. I remembered that Joe did roofing as well. I called him on a Sunday morning. He was at my door in 1/2 hour. He and one of his workers, spent 3 hours at my home clearing my roof of ice and snow. He charged me less than I expected. His first concern when he came to my door was to ask me if I was satisfied with the siding and the windows. He promised he'd stop by again sometime next fall to check the siding for any issues. I can guarantee he'll do just that. Be aware I see another "Siding Guy" advertised. This is Joe Wink that I'm recommending. I'm not saying the other guy is bad I have no point of reference. Just want to be clear. I've had a lot of people work on my home and most of them I wouldn't ask back if the work was offered for free. Joe is exceptional. I trust him to do exactly what he promises. I trust his judgement and his craftsmanship is excellent. If you are in the Billerica area and want to see my house just ask Joe to bring you by. I highly recommend him.

i needed siding and a friend in townshend made note of thier work. i got samples from box stores. their material was better, more dense, and durable appearing than the box stores. the workmen and owners workmanship were outstanding.so much so i decided to have my porch converted to a year round room . while they were here. they took care of the entire job including windows wrapped around and entry way. they also fitted up a direct vent gas fireplace i bought. the windows are terrific. no more noise from traffic and very weather tight. there are no cut off joints in the siding like i have seen elsewhere. the site was cleaned up daily. and now a year and a half later it looks new. just terrific.

It went better than expected! From day 1 until the day his crew finished they always showed up, on time and were extremely clean. Each day they cleaned up any debris that was produced on the job. All workers were courteous and friendly. Joe even called us approximately 1 month later to ensure we were happy with the work and there werent any issues.

They did a fabulous job. I have no complaints because I got my money?s worth and then some. Joe, the owner, and the entire crew were very pleasant and respectful; there wasn?t any mud tracked through my house because they were being cautious. When you get work done in the winter you expect some mess but they were very considerate. They cleaned up after themselves, they were here when they said they would be, and they just did a great job. When they were done we bought them all coolers with steaks for them and their families because they really went above and beyond. I can?t usually be in the house with people doing work but they went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable. They are definitely biker types but they are just the greatest people and I feel more safe with them around than I do when I'm alone. They did everything for the price they said they would do it and they did it within the timeframe as well. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I think their price was more reasonable than anyone else and they were honest with me about what I could and could not have; they talked me out of a higher priced product.

They made a very good suggestion for this kind of work. I appreciated that they came the day after Christmas. I haven?t had the work done yet.

He is excellent, reasonably priced. His crew was in and out in three days. They cleaned up well after themselves. I never knew they were here. They would come really early and stay until around 7pm. They brought the supplies the week before. I?ve never had a problem with anything!
