Description of Work: Came next day to make a temporary repair of a broken garage door spring. Returned on scheduled date to replace the spring. Called to schedule a time, and called again to see if an early arrival would be acceptable. Cleaned the work site appropriately.

Description of Work: A minor issue. I called on AM 4/1, and left my necessay information with a live representaive. She promised that a sceduler would call to set up an appointment for that coming Friday. I never got the call, I guess they didn't want my business. |I emailed a compeitor over the weekend, and he called early Monday, and set up an appointment for this Friday.

Description of Work: They called ahead to confirm the scheduled date of installation (Double garage, two doors). Showed up on time and completed the job in the estimated one day. They even enhanced some wall shelves which had to be modified to make the door installation.

Description of Work: We contacted Middlesex Overhead Doors and asked for a quote to replace the entire garage door system.. They arrived punctually when they agreed on Wednesday, April 16 and provided a good explanation of what should be done. They promised an email with a quote for the replacement on the next day. Since they were a local, highly-rated company, it was their contract to lose ... and they lost it. Nothing heard on Thursday, so on Friday and the weekend, and on Monday, we called and emailed to ask about the quote but no messages were returned until Tuesday. We received a quote from them with an apology for being late, due to a crush of other business. However, by then we had already asked for another quote from another installer and have contracted with them to replace the door. My advice to Middlesex: do what you say you're going to do, when you say you're going to do it. In the absence of direct experience with a particular contractor's dependability, all you can go on is how you are treated when asking for a quote.
