Jeff Esterkes of Leader Bank was recommended to me by my real estate agent, and was extremely helpful in guiding me through the loan application process. I found him to be extremely precise in his communication; he made sure to keep me notified of each development along the way. As a first time home buyer, having someone who was as knowledgeable and patient as Jeff was extremely helpful. In the end, my loan application went through with no issues or hold-ups. I would highly recommend Jeff's and Leader Bank's services.

Leader Bank gave us the best interest rates we could find, and also was very professional throughout our mortgage application process. The responsiveness was very timely, and everything was handled very professionally. If we ever need a mortgage again, we certainly know who we will come back to!

Jeff helped us to lock into a great rate in a volatile market. When rates went down we were able to adjust to an even lower rate, which was very much appreciated. The process was relatively easy and went smoothly throughout the purchase and closing of our home. I was referred to Jeff Esterkes, VP Mortgage Lending at Leader Bank by my realtor. Prior to reaching out to Jeff, I had gone to the credit union where I work and have been a customer for over 20 years to hopefully get some guidance on mortgage rates, what is needed for purchasing, what the various fees are, but mostly I wanted to tactually talk to somone to get an estimate on how much my monthly mortgage payment would for various mortgage amounts. I had a rough idea of what I wanted to spend on a house, but wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get in over my head with the mortgage payments. I received no guidance from the credit union. I was told to apply on line and someone would contact me. The only contact I received was through an email. I was not afforded the opportunity to talk to someone before I applied. I then decided to reach out to Jeff Esterkes. Jeff spoke to me on the phone and asked me what I was looking for, did I have a price range in mind, etc, and then asked some basic questions about my finances. From the information I shared with him, Jeff put together an analysis of various mortgage amounts and what my monthly payments would be based on if I put down 20% or less than 20%, estimated closing costs, etc He then set up a time to talk to me over the phone (I could have gone in and met with him as well if I chose), to review what all of the information meant. With his help , I was able to determine exactly how much I wanted to spend on a house, and not be in over my head. As I was looking for a house, I got laid off from my job. I contacted Jeff to let him know and he told me to reach back out to him when I found new employment. Luckily I was only out of work for three months. I contacted Jeff and told him I wanted to work a couple of months at the new job before getting back into house hunting, He agreed that was a good idea. A few months later, Jeff reached out to me just to see how things were going. I waited a few months more and got back into the house hunting game. I contacted Jeff and once again he did a new analysis with the present percentage rates and my updated financial status. When I made an offer on the home I just bought, I contacted Jeff to get the mortgage preapproval letter. He responded quickly and got the letter to me and my realtor within minutes. Once my offer was accepted he guided me through the application process and was always readily available if I had any questions, even on the weekends and evenings. At one point the seller wanted to change the closing date. The date was after my interest rate lock expired for the mortgage. I once again reached out to Jeff for his advice and within minutes he came back with what it would cost to extend the rate lock date, and advice on how to handle the request with the sellers (they paid for the extension). On the day of the closing, I received an email from Jeff with his contact number in case I needed him for anything prior to or during the closing. I'm sure Jeff deals with a lot of people on a daily basis, but he always made me feel like I was the only person he was dealing with. I truly appreciate the help and guidance he gave me. I would recommend him and Leader Bank to anyone looking to obtain a mortgage.

I purchased my home in 2005, which has depreciated significantly over the years. Even though I have excellent credit and never missed a payment, the bank that provided me with my mortgage was unwilling to help me refinance due to the amount of equity lost. Had my loan been sold to Freddie or Fannie, I would have been eligible for assistance, but the bank held my loan. Thus, I haven't been able to take advantage of today's lower rates until yesterday..... Yesterday, after 8 years of trying, I was finally able to refinance with the help of Jeff Esterkes of Leader Bank! Jeff guided me through the process and made it a very easy transaction. I provided him with documents and he handled everything from start to finish. He was eager to answer all of my questions promptly and honestly. Jeff is a professional with integrity. He is extremely knowledgeable, responsive, and dedicated to helping home owners. Jeff is the top of my list to use for any of my future mortgage needs and I highly recommend him to all.

He is very intelligent and spends the time to go over many options, as well as to explain the various options and give his opinion when asked. He's extremely fast in his response time, even when I asked a lot of questions.

Jeff did an excellent job in the refinancing of our home. We have used him before, and because of our previous experience, we were quite comfortable referring two of our children to him as well, when they were buying their first homes. I have always found Jeff to be very professional, as well as detected in him, a desire to do first and foremost, what is right for the client.
