AJ Rose Carpets & Flooring

We wanted a carpet for a room plus redo two stairways. We've used AJ Rose before and came back. We found two remnants that fit our needs. Great quality ( the area rug was a great wool remnant ). Their installers came to measure and layout the plan and they showed up and did a great job on the scheduled day. We're very happy and placed an order for two more rugs recently.

Very professional experience throughout. Jeannie was very helpful while I spent a fairly long time choosing just the right carpet. I really liked that she was friendly and knowledgeable, but never pushy. She was also very easy to reach by phone, and prepared (and carefully talked me through) a very detailed quote. The child play area in the store was a big plus. The installation was done while I was out of town - wonderful to come back home and find new carpet installed without a flaw. I highly recommend this company.

Overall, everyone we dealt with were professional and courteous. We will definitely return for our future flooring needs.

Their showroom listed the prices on the samples and also included the installation as part of the price listed. I chose them for this reason and the age of the company themselves. This is a savvy company. I was happy to pay a bit more for the quality of the experience.

The customer service seemed fine and they had a lot of selection at decent prices. I didn't end up following through, but if I decide to then I will probably go back there.

They had a carpet that we really liked and so we decided to purchase it from them. We ordered it and they were able to deliver when it came in. We will consider using this company again in the future.

The sales guy was awesome and they were able to install it very quickly. They were able to meet our timeline which was a tough timeline. They have great service and they are very professional.

The service man did an excellent job. I was satisfied with his work. He was quick, neat and very helpful. I was quoted a price, but didn't realize I would have to pay an extra $175.00 since I did not have the second room rug installed.

I called a couple of flooring stores and looked online. Greg at AJ Rose was super! He provided helpful, straightforward information. He explained that it is unusual to have vinyl floor tiles in stock and that the Armstrong vinyl tiles I had seen online were being discontinued so he no longer had samples. He checked availability and called me back to say that he had found a book that he would show me that was better than the online information. I asked about timing, if I ordered today, and he was not optimistic, but he would check. Greg called me back and he had found the exact tiles I wanted in the distributor's warehouse -- leftovers from some previous project! He could have them in two days so I asked where they were and if I could pick them up instead. Greg confirmed the location of the boxes and gave me a reduced price. We picked them up same day. It was a pleasure to work with some one who was willing to listen and make multiple calls to solve my problem, especially when it was such a small order (only $100).

They were very helpful at the store and gave us a lot of samples to look at. They also gave us a lot of time to keep the samples and called to see they could do something else for us. They came out very quickly to do the measuring and ordered a sample to make sure we are getting the right color. Now we are just waiting for them to get the carpet and install it. Their prices are very competitive and they include installation, and padding, unlike the other stores where they do not include the two.

This was a great experience. We needed a runner for our stairs and some fill in on the landing. We went to the Burlington location and picked out our carpet. Due to the 'boutique' nature of the store we were able to get very high quality carpet that is not available in larger retail stores. The owner came out himself to measure the next day, and the carpet was installed a week later(It was my understanding that it took a week only because the carpet runner edges needed to be processed). The carpet is perfect. I will never go anywhere else.

Wonderful! Jeannie (Sales in Burlington) was great, pointed me in the right direction for both carpets (I couldn't be happier with my choices!), took only one week to order, and she rescheduled my installation with no problem when I wasn't quite ready for the new carpet. The installers were very professional and did a great job. I just had all rooms painted and they barely touched the walls and trim, not much touch-up at all required. What a pleasant surprise.

Very pleased with entire process. Sal in sales was very helpful in the store. Installation was professional and flexible to schedule. Would recommend to a friend.

I walked in one late Saturday afternoon and asked to borrow several carpet samples, and Andrew Robrish let me take home at least seven. I returned them when the store opened on Monday morning. I gave Andrew the measurements of the piece I needed and was promised the finished item in about two to three weeks. It arrived in the store about 10 days later. I picked up the piece without having to wait more than a few minutes. The carpet fits perfectly.

We have used their services before and everything went well. They gave us an estimate and it was right on. There were no surprises and they were done in less than one day.

Everything was exactly they way they said it would be. The sales representative in the store was great as well as the working crew. It took them half a day to do the work. They cleaned up after themselves. They have fair service, good prices, and great installation.

It was awful. I asked it they could do it in the next few months, which they did. My son ended up being born prematurely, so I was not there when they installed it. They installed the wrong flooring and we tried to get them to do something about it and they did nothing about it. It looked similar, but it was the wrong flooring. The installers had even confirmed that it was the wrong flooring.

Flooring was installed according to my schedule which was helpful. The product was fit very well, however the installer didn't leave the floor clean which was a pain. When I did finally get it clean, I found a few small scratches I assume were from tools. I expected more at their labor price point.

Install was scheduled based on my needs which was helpful. They sent a extra large crew which was perfect being that I had mover scheduled and couldn't have any delays. Install day went as expected, crew was polite and hard working.

There were three sales people, two of them were totally unhelpful and weren't very pleasant. We worked with the third sales person named Andrew, who was very nice and willing to help. I believe their prices are pretty high, but I had something specific in mind, so went ahead with them. The installers came on time, were professional and cleaned up after themselves. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed that the runner was installed on some stairs at a bit of an angle rather than straight across (obviously not a great job by the installers). Its not terribly obvious (its a solid runner with cutout patterns in the same color), but I noticed it. Also, the runner is not "wrapped" tightly around the stairs. I don't know whether this kind of rug can't be, but it just looks like a rush job. In all fairness to the company, I never followed up with them (I just had too many things going on and didn't want the hassle).

Great experience, called back right away and came for an estimate right on time. Went with a better price. ($540)

The carpet installers were incredible and I would recommend them to anyone. They had a great price and the whole experience was incredible. They had a professional staff and I was pleased with the service. They are great.

We had used AJ Rose in the past and been very pleased. This time, we got the carpet we wanted installed without major issue, but, the level of service offered was much lower. The salesman offered us almost no help in choosing our carpeting. Worse, he had an "attitude" and seemed not to like us! We had to pry to get at exact costs on the carpeting and padding. A detailed bill was never offered or provided. When we scheduled installation we had to insist on a time up front (morning or afternoon) as my wife and I both work. AJ Rose wanted to call us the night before. That's not enough notice. We did get the company to give us a time in advance, but the morning of the install (at 7AM) the installer called directly asking to change the time we had agreed to because he didn't like the route he was given. This was all more trouble than we expected. Next time we will go elsewhere.

I checked the List thoroughly. I chose 3 merchants. I had Empire come to show samples, measure, help with choice and estimate on the spot. The salesman was great! He actually told me, when I called him later to compare, to go with AJ Rose because he could not match them. I went to a retail showroom. The salesman finally introduced himself, rapidly asked a few questions about my needs, directed me to their most expensive grade of carpet, left me and had to be tracked down to get info, loaned a couple of samples and gave me his card. I was so unimpressed I did not get an estimate. I went to AJ Rose Flooring. Donal Zimmerman, of sales, promptly introduced himself. He asked many questions about my home and answered my array of questions. We spent a longtime, in the huge showrooms, working to narrow my favorites to three. We have been pleased with our experience. It was a bit tricky sometimes to get in touch with the installer, but once we figured out the pager number and what to do, we were all set. Mitch, the installer, has been great and did a wonderful job installing the floor. Also left the work area immaculate!
