Noticed shut-off valve in basement was dripping. Was not sure if it was due to extreme cold or if external faucet had not been turned off in the fall. I out out calls to 4 plumbers from Angies list and he was the first to call back. He told me on the phone he was going to have to charge more for the call due to it being a weekend and I appreciated him letting me know but then he charged a lower price in the end. He evaluated the problem, confirmed that the outside faucet was shut off and then quickly replaced the valve quickly with a better quality one. I would definitely use him again for any small or emergency jobs.

Very unprofessional on phone. Barely listened to my request and suddenly screamed loudly (apparently at a colleague standing next to him) -- made my ear hurt. Didn't really listen to my request and then blew me off that they don't do the kind of work that I was looking for.

These guys were fantastic! They arrived when they said that they would; they assessed the work to be done; they then went and got the necessary supplies and returned and did the work - all in two hours! Not only that, but under my kitchen sink was an embarrassing mess which they cleaned up - all of the supplies, floor and all the dirt. Can't recommend them highly enough. Would definitely use them again and recommend them highly.

Zack was on time and the price came in on estimate. I would recommend him.

Zack is the man. His price was between a half and third of quotes from two other reputable plumbers. Work looks excellent. I discovered after taking the old concrete floor out that the old pipe was too high to drop in a lower new floor, so I had to find a plumber in a hurry. Luckily I called Zack and he came out same-day to have a look. Quoted an unbeatable price, with the caveat that I'd have to have the pipe dug out and he wouldn't haul off the old stuff. We arranged a time easily that worked for our family (water turned off) and also worked with my concrete guy's schedule (to come do the digging). Zack came out exactly when he said he would, even did a little digging himself without raising his fee, and on-the-spot expanded the original job to fully replace the cast-iron back to existing PVC that had previously been installed further upstream from our main area of concern. The increase in fee was completely reasonable, and it didn't take him any longer. He got the job done quickly and even helped me get the washing machine moved when he arrived to make room to work. I'm already having him back next week to do some more work. Highly recommend him!

We were having a dinner party for 30 and the sink clogged up. Zack came within the hour on a Sunday and came exactly when promised. After an hour, it was clear he could not fix the problem because it was deeper in the pipes than he could reach. He was professional and we would definitely call him again if we had another problem. This time, Zack did not even charge us for the work. We were amazed and impressed.

It was so much easier than I expected and Zach was great.

It was a pleasure working with Zack. He was flexible on a starting time, and was able to complete the work the same day. He completed the work in under 1 hour! I will likely use Zack again for future plumbing needs.

On a Sunday morning in January 2013 we realized our water heater was leaking in our basement and needed to removed and replaced. We read a bunch of reviews on Angie's List and decided to call Zack Plumbing. First good sign was that he answered the phone on a weekend. We explained our problem and he asked what type of water heater we had and what we wanted to replace it with. I texted him some photos and he said he could remove our old water heater and replaceit the same day. Zack arrived at the time he said he would, and did the work quickly. He removed our old water heater and installed a new 40 gallon tank. We were very relieved to have it all done the same day.

I called Zach at 9 am, he was here an hour later (slightly longer than the half hour he estimated when I called, but not bad). My one other annoyance is that he, like many tradespeople, answered the phone "hello," which meant I thought I had the wrong number. Otherwise, he was professional, and explained to me that the faucet was cheap and old and unlikely to survive being taken apart for a fix. The other plumbers I had had in before apparently were trying to explain the same thing, but badly, so that I got the impression that they just weren't good enough to do it. He had an acceptable-looking faucet in his van ($80 for the faucet is included in the $225 price tag), installed it in almost no time, and did a decent job cleaning up after. There are a few bits of packaging or something on the vanity. He wiped clean the under sink area and replaced the few things I hadn't already removed before he came.

He made himself available for the gas stove delivery (and repair) on one day's notice, was right on time, and everything went smoothly. We have also used him in our home. He's not the cheapest but his rates are reasonable and well worth it--he's an excellent problem solver, and he shows up when he says he will.

I don’t know how much the price was because they contracted the job to someone else. We heard the guy speaking to the contractor and telling him the place where he’s doing it and he also told him about the price so that nobody could do anything about it. We’ve had problems with our toilet since they did the job. Their responsiveness was not very good. They were not punctual. Their professionalism was not good either. We didn’t like their service. We will not use their services again in the future.

Zack gave us a quote before work began, was on time and worked very quickly & efficently. He trouble shot some problems with the heat & drainage and came in on budget and on time. In this traditional new england 100 year old colonial Zack was very aware of all the issues and possible problems which had potential to occur. He informed us of these ahead of time and was able to work through them with no problems or added costs.

Competent and professional. Arrived on time, was personable, honored Angie's list coupon. We were completely satisfied with the result.

We called AA Zack about 8:00 AM in the morning and someone was here by 10:00 (earlier than they estimated on the phone). Asher was very professional and thorough and kept everything clean. He had to use the snake more than once and also used the air gun when the snake did not work the first time. He had to run the snake the full length (25') to get it clear. Our drain is running perfectly now. Excellent and professional service. We even got a follow up call to make sure everything was OK.

I called them on a weekend at 9:30 AM. They were punctual -- got there at 9:50 AM. Quickly figured out the problem. Left me with a Insinkerator key so I could unjam it next time.

He was fine. He is a very good guy. His price was a little bit on the high end. His quality was good and he was responsible.

I have a claw foot tub with a shower fitout. I dropped a handmirror and it loosened the shower water feed line (1/2 inch line or smaller). This caused a leak and the only way to stop the leak was to turn off the feed to the unit. It was Saturday and I needed a plumber over the weekend. I called AA Zack i think on a Saturday evening, around 8pm. He answered the phone after a few rings. We made an appointment for Sunday morning. He showed up on time and fixed my problem in about an hour Job well done!

Mr. Zack is our usual plumber so when we decided to renovate our kitchen of course we wanted to use him. He made several trips to the house to view work in progress or do small tasks such as disconnect gas lines. He took a personal interest in the work and gave us a lot of advice about choosing some items. He was very flexible in scheduling his work to support the overall renovation and kept himself up-to-date on the work so he could optimize his own portion. I feel there is more that he did because I know we felt the final cost was very good value!
