It seemed like just an entry into the house just to try to up sell me on something else. The guy who came out seemed to know what he was talking about. I wanted him to clean the furnace fully but he would go further than the coil, he said that was a separate service.

They arrived on time, if not before. We reviewed the entire scope of work and pricing before work started. Very thorough work, detailed oriented, and knowledgeable about requirements re:interfacing with the City. Followed up a few days later when I had additional questions and concerns. Timely, professional, thoughtful in assessing course of action. Conscientious about each of the different issues to be resolved - my drains are clean, the toilet has stopped running, and there are new, reliable valves on the water main.

A plus that there isn't a charge to come out and do the estimate like some other plumber's on Angie's List. I had a budget limit so only did 3 of 5 repairs, so the coupon was a must. Mike was extremely professional and helpful from beginning to end and that matters when you are relying on service companies.

Called Papallia because of a Angie's List discount offer. Allegedly got a plumber to come out on short notice due to a cancellation. He showed up on time, evaluated and quoted a price to replace the shower/bath controls. Thought the quote seemed a little high but was in a bind to get it fixed soon so did not have time to get another quote.He quoted trying to repair just the diverter vs replacement but said the replacement may not work if things are too corroded. I knew things were corroded (could not get faucet handles off) so opted for a full replacement. He cut out the old hardware and soldered in a new unit. Job was finished in under 3 hours. So he was fast and efficient. He asked if I wanted to keep my showerhead (handheld) vs the one that came with the replacement package. I wanted to keep the handheld shower head I had (handheld on a hose) so he did not replace that. I'm sure I paid for the shower head in a manufacturer's package but he did not offer to leave the new showerhead (in case I wanted to install it later. When he was done, I turned on the shower (no leaks) but the diverter switch had to be in exactly the perfect position to get the shower to work. If it was all the way in the shower position, the shower only trickled. The plumber did not offer an explanation for this. I was definitely not pleased with that but the plumber did not offer much explanation of why it was acting like that. Not what I expected after paying $800+. The hardware package he installed was ~$150 at home depot so thought the $870 was a bit steep for the 3 hr job. So not terrible but I expected a little more....

Professional and efficient from start to finish. Early Friday morning my husband and I noticed a large amount of water collecting in our basement. To our untrained eyes it appeared the water was coming from our main water pipe. We called Papaila first thing that morning to make an appointment. The receptionist was friendly and very helpful. She set us up with an appointment for that afternoon. The plumbing technicians arrived promptly at 1am (appointment time frame was noon to 4pm). From the beginning our technicians were professional and knowledgable. They completed a diagnostic review quickly and were able to give us a concise synopsis of what our problem was and the different treatment options we had. Once we all decided on the best way to remedy our issue, the technicians were very thorough. Once they completed their work, they cleaned up all of their equipment and put our basement back to the way they found it. The final price was exactly what we had discussed. At the end of our appointment, the technicians provided great recommendations on how to prevent our issue from recurring. Ultimately, we were very happy with Papaila's plumbing services. They were able to take a stressful situation and make it as enjoyable as possible. We will definitely be sure to use Papaila again should any additional plumbing or heating issues arise in our home!

The work went well. it was just less than I had originally expected.

Craig, our Papilia Technician, came out to the house for a preliminary walk thorugh and explained the process to us thoroughly. Answered all of our questions and really made us feel confident with the whole process. They were scheduled to come out to do the installation 25-27 Mar. However (Murphy's Law), the old boiler basically went out on us on 18 Mar. Craig rearranged his schedule to start the installation on 19-20 Mar. In the meantime, he hooked up a temporary hot water supply for us. They expedited and did all of the work in the condensed timeline. By the afternoon of the 20th, he had the system installed, inspected, hooked up, and running. Responsive, very reasonable, fair, professional, etc. Can't speak highly enough of Craig and, in turn, the entire Papilia Team.

I called on a Monday and got an appointment on Tuesday morning first thing. The plumber was professional, courteous, friendly and did a great job. He even cleaned the rust from the leak off of my tile wall. He also tagged the shutoffs for me down in the basement. The job cost a little more than I thought it would but overall very pleased with the experience. I will be calling them again to replace a sink in the basement.

I purchased a $99 deal for Papalia Plumbing and Heating Inc. They listed the locations they service to be "Metro West Plus...See Our Website For Other Towns We Service." This would infer that my town of Medfield would fall within their service area as Medfield is in "Metro West." When we called to schedule an apt, they told us they didn't service Medfield. We ended up requesting a refund. I'm sure they do great work, but they should have proofread their listing more closely as it was quiet inconvenient to purchase this deal, call to schedule and then be forced to submit and follow-up on a refund request via Angies List.

We discovered that our toilet flange had rusted to nothing. We called them, and they came the same day within a few hours. It looked like it was going to be a difficult replacement involving going through the walls and ceiling in the room below, but they tried a simpler way first that they weren't sure would work, and it did They provided a fixed-price quote, cleaned up well, and were very professional. I would definitely use them for future work.

We called Papalia this morning and they said they could respond between 10am and 2pm. Since it is extremely cold out we know they were very busy. Scott, the service man, called and told us he would be here within the hour and he would call when on the way. He did and was here in about 1/2 hour. Scott is very courteous, professional and took the time to explain what had happened. He fixed the problem temporarily and gave us the option of replacing the valve which we chose to do.

The technician from Papalia Plumbing showed on time and assessed the tasks that needed to be done. He explained my options to me, gave me an estimate for the above-listed jobs and then completed the work quickly and efficiently. The price he charged was exactly what he estimated the cost to be.

He cleaned the ignitor and some other components. We haven't had a problem since (a month later).

I chose to get a refund because they did not give me a break down of the estimate. I am not sure if I would use them again, only if another Big Deal is available.

I spent a little more than what was on the big deal. My experience with them was very good. I have used them before.

The initial fix did not last. I was very pleased with the immediacy and quality of their follow up.

Went fine. Person was polite, informative, knew what he was doing.
