It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. They came promptly and did things pretty quickly. I paid $50 extra. They were really efficient. They came in and discussed the problem and had all the parts.

He did all the work and it was a few dollars more than the quoted $111. He just waved the extra cost, which was great service. I will definitely use them again.

They left a proposal for $2,469 called another service provider and there were no problems, and I did not need any repairs.

They did come in, did the work and they were gone. I will be definitely needing them some time. For the time being, everything is all set and repaired. I like the job that they did for me.

He did the work that we wanted him to do, except fix my leaky kitchen faucet. It had been sealed to my granite countertops with the hard water deposits, and he said he didn't want to touch that because he'd break the countertops.

The emergency service was easy to reach and they responded quickly. It took about 2 hours before they were able to show up, but that is what they quoted over the phone. They were clear it was going to cost $155 for emergency service, but I was under the gun to leave the house so I couldn't really shop around for another plumber. The person who arrived (whose name I forget) was a very nice guy. Clean, courteous, and did he best to explain that low pH could have caused the hole in the pipe. When he did the work he did so in about an hour, which seemed reasonable, and didn't leave any kind of mess in my basement. My real concern with this company, and while I'll never do business with them again, is that on top of charging such a high rate just to show up at my house (the $155), they charged me $350+ to replace a tiny section of pipe. I knew this was a rip-off, but not until I did my homework afterword did I know just how badly I was ripped off. Speaking with another plumbing company a similar job, also on a Sunday, might have cost me $225 instead of $505. They may have made a decent profit on my problem this time, but they will never get a call from me again. Also.. for how big the hole was, had I really seen it, I could have fixed it with some duct tape until Monday which would have saved me a ton of money, too. Very disappointed overall, despite the friendliness of the plumber who showed up.

I used an Angie's list coupon for a fall tune-up of the furnace. Keith was on time, wore booties to protect my floor, and completed the work quickly. He answered all my questions and gave me ideas on how to fix some of the problems we've been having. Excellent service.

We had purchased a big deal for the service. He charged me for what the coupon was, and the work took him only 5 minutes, so I felt like it was a rip off. He told me that it would cost 350 Dollars to fix the faucet. I am now going to be getting estimates before I purchase a big deal, because I feel like I never got my money's worth.

Everything went smoothly, from diagnosis to completion. They took even less time than they said they would. I would certainly use them again.

I thought I had a toilet that needed to be replaced. They told me it was a simple fix and repaired the issue for me.

the plumber arrived on time, he was nice but there wasn't a plumbing issue so 'the deal' was not used. i will write another review once i use the voucher.

They did a good job with this however, the dishwasher door was left scraping the fascia panel below the door. This makes the fascia pull away from the cabinet to which it was attached when the door is used. I suppose its not a plumbing job per se, however, I should have been warned of the problem .

It went fine. I received a call prior to the plumber's arrival. The only snag was that the space in this 1/2 bath was too tight to put in the higher toilet that I wanted so I had to settle for a different one. However it works well so far.

I purchased a big deal for $200 worth of work for $99 as I knew I would have to replace a toilet in the future. I used Papalia's services and was very please with the results. The plumber was courteous, on-time and professional. No problems here. Only struggle that I encountered is that Papalia strives for fairness by charging a fixed book rate per job rather than hourly to account for variations in speed from their plumbing staff. This would work well although I found the price was considerably above (i.e. ~2X) what other plumbers would have charged hourly for the job. In my case I figured that I would be better off paying the hourly rate elsewhere and losing the big deal rather than paying the extra for the flat rate. We eventually settled on the price above which was fair and in line with expectations from past plumbing jobs given the expected duration. As I expected, the toilet swap was swift and was completed in about an hour. I would use this provider again in future however I would only do so after understanding the flat charge first for the future job rather than assuming a "reasonable" hourly plumbing rate charged by most plumbers. Other than this initial pricing issue, everything went very well and I was very pleased with the outcome.

The plumber sent was courteous and professional for the basic job, but as soon as he started cross referencing 'the book" I knew that pricing was going to be an issue. Indeed in the end they quoted almost $4000 for plumbing work that others were quoting in the $1000 range. I have no doubt that the quality of their work is solid, but as other Angie's list members have stated, they are premium priced and I will not be using them again. My local plumbers will be doing the work at 1/4 the cost.

The service was very good. They were on time. They came back and adjusted when things weren't working as well as they needed to. It was a big deal purchase but I spent more than $111.

The Papalia plumber was prompt, quick, and provided great service.
