That wasn't great either. I hired him as I had seen him around town. He said there was no leak what so ever and he would provide me with a report if I needed; which I did as my house was on the market. It took me 3 months of emailing and calling him to actaully get the report. It was very slowing in getting everything done.

I paid more than the Big Deal amount because they found some other issue which I had to go ahead with as well. They said eventually if I did not get the valve put in, it could do something to the plumbing; it could break it down because the pressure was not getting monitored. Overall they were good, thorough, and very professional. The only thing I thought that was bad they were high in their charges. They did not rush through the job, they took the time, and looked through everything; I would highly recommend them. I would probably shop a little bit more around for price and then decide to use them again.

He showed up on time ans went about his work in a professional manner. Took the old dishwasher out and carried to the curb for me. Installed the new washer ran a short cycle checked all the fittings for leaks and then cleaned and swept the area.I was very happy with his work and promptness.

Papalia charges by the job, not by the hour. It seems their modus operandi is to size up an issue and then look at all the possible what-if's. That's fair. But the price is based on their worst-case scenario which is (of course) very expensive. And they don't do anything until they have your OK, which is also good. We were kind of desperate because we had company coming. After we had agreed and signed, the gentleman went to work -- only to be done a very short time later. He admitted it was easier than he'd thought it would be. To his credit, he offered to discuss other plumbing concerns we had. He also gave us a generous sample of a product we were considering buying. Would I use them again? Probably... but I'd check out other highly rated plumbers first.

They were reasonable on time. Very professional. Did the work quickly and cleaned up. We ended up having them replace our water heater a few weeks later.

I called Saturday morning, and they replaced it, working into the early evening. Nice job, clean, and professional.

The technician was very friendly, prompt, and checked everything off well.

I've had an old house that I've had both things done before. So, I was able to compare prices and decided not to proceed with the work.

They were great to work with. They showed up on time and they did a great job. Scheduling went great and there was one technician was here. It took about 4 hours to complete everything.

We did not use them. We also got a quote for a water filter in the kitchen. Price quoted was at least twice what we were quoted by Kelleher, which we did use. We will only use Papalia in an emergency.

The kitchen sink was not draining, so I called for an emergency servicing. Sheculed the appt. 2 days out. On the day of, the receptionist called to try to postpone the appt. because the plumber couldn't finish his previous project on time. I refused since I'd already taken off work and she managed to send a different guy. He was nice, explained the services, and didn't take too long.

From the time they contacted me, they were very fast. I had a clogged drain in my tub. He also looked at another leak for me. They completed the job in less than an hour. The plumber was very friendly, clean, and on time. His tools were wrapped in a clean cloth, and when he was done, he made sure nothing dripped on the floor. Even the stuff he got out of the drain, he made sure it was wrapped up and thrown away.

Other than the pricing, which seems really exorbitant for what amounted to less than 40 minutes of work (all pricing is apparently done off of a "Price Sheet" which their techs carry, regardless of how complex or time-consuming your job actually is), they did good work. I wasn't home at the time, the tech called me with my wife there. I even called ahead and told them exactly what model of disposal we would need (cover-control, batch-fed, since we have no dedicated disposal on/off power switch), so he was ready and had it on the truck. I'm planning on calling and seeing if I can't get at least a partial refund of some kind, I mean seriously, $800 for a disposal that *can't* cost more than $400 at the *high* end, and 35 minutes of labor? I'm most likely out of luck, we needed to get the work done and one other plumber had already no-showed, but beware and make sure you understand what you might be getting yourself in for in terms of costs. I don't think I'm going to use them again because of the pricing.

They did not do what we thought they were going to do. We thought that they were going to clean and tune-up the furnace and they did not do that. They did not do anything. I would not recommend them. It was hard to get them scheduled and they were hard to deal with. I would not use them again.

The service was OK but I think their additional services are a bit expensive. I think I spent about $400. I didn't save much with the deal actually. It looks like the coupon is a trap and when they get you they give you the real costs of their services.

It turned out just fine. They fixed a leak in our bathroom.

Great - they found a GE heater that is better than the initially proposed.

I walked him through the venting work that I need done before I can take advantage of financial incentives for insulation work. We also talked about a furnace replacement as a separate item. He said I would have the estimate by Friday (12-27) or the following Monday. On 12-31, I called them and told them that I hadn't received an estimate as promised. I left my phone number.They told me I would get a call from the estimator's assistant that day. It's well into 2014 and I haven't heard anything. I guess I could keep trying but it would be even worse if they didn't follow through on work commitments.

The estimated project time was scheduled for 1-2 weeks but ended up taking over 3 months despite being very specific and detailed as to what we wanted before the project had started. The only positive thing was that the workers were prompt every morning they were scheduled to be here, however the workmanship was very poor and it did not seem that they were very experienced. Every night I got home I had seen mistakes in the duct work location which we had discussed in detail. This was very frustrating and the duct work needed to be patched every time. I paid for new duct work and end up with swss cheese. I had mentioned that I planned on finishing my basement and wanted the duct work to hug the ceiling, however it hung 3-4 inch below the ceiling which I had to constantly request them to fix. There was also another instance where a return was connected to a pre existing feed that had been closed off. Luckily I had noticed it and had them fix it, once again another patch job was needed. In the end I counted about 10 patches. It has been 3 months since they have finally completed and I just noticed a connection in the duct work that has completely disconnected which has prompted me to write this review. I have a 1 year warranty on the duct work but I am so fed up with the work that has been done that I will pay for someone else to fix their mistakes and maintain the system in the future. The process of dealing with Papalia has been very frustrating and stressful. In addition to the poor workmanship we had to request rebate paperwork multiple times. They had then said they can not complete the paperwork with out an inspection. Weeks had gone by after the job was completed and they had not scheduled an inspection... until we reminded them. If all this isn't enough I found myself needing to balance the vents, something they said they had done. I would not recommend Papalia for any work, especially large jobs. They don't seem to have the communication and skill required. If you do decide to use them. Make sure you are willing to constantly monitor their work and have some knowledge of HVAC to point out things that are wrong as they come up.

The service was good but for me they charge way too much. They have a programmed price list where no matter how quickly they can do it they load on the overhead. For a few hours work, i paid over $500. I was good work but not good value.

I had a busted pipe. I called at 9am. (I will say it was the day of a blizzard so I expected them to be busy) I was told if they didn't return the call in 30 minutes call back. I called 4 times in 5 hours and finally the operator stated that they may come out but it would be a $150 dispatch fee regardless if they fix anything or just examine my problem. Being that I'm not made of money I had to cancel but had I known earlier I would have contacted other plumbers. I have no running water or toilet and my pregnant wife and children keep having to go to Dunkin donuts to use the bathroom. Water is still dripping through my ceiling. This place was not impressive especially since they never called me back. At least the other plumbers called and stated they couldn't make it till the following day.

The plumber arrived promptly and evaluated the water damage, shower and faucets in the tub area. Found no water eaks in the plumbing or fixtures when he ran the water. He suggested the water was running in the seams of the shower enclosure to the floor so suggested additional caulking around the enclosure and tub seams. Completed this work. Price to add the caulking seemed expensive at $99 but went ahead with it so the water leaks would be prevented. Also looked at water stains in the ceiling below the tub and suggested some water may be coming in due to water back up from an improperly installed gutter on the outside of the house. Pursuing this with a local gutter company.

Papalia was prompt and professional in their work. They communicated what would be done and the time frame in which it would be done and were accurate on both. I felt that the price was extremely high for what was done, but the cost was very clear up front and I chose to move forward. The work done was high quality work, but I would say that I would inquire with another plumber for the work, based on the cost.

Excellent work. This is the 2nd time I have used this company, and they are great. Very professional, prompt, courteous, knowledgeable. They also explain what they are doing in layman's terms so you know what is going on. will use again for future work in a heartbeat!
