Everything went fine. There was one small hiccup which they promptly came back and fixed within minutes of me calling.

Mark Adams answered the phone himself. He scheduled a visit for the next day(!) He showed up on time, did the (small) job we requested, plus another quick fix, and charged a reasonable fee. Yes, this is a plumber I'm talking about. Highly recommended.

First thing this morning I noticed a leak in my basement and I had no idea where the leak was coming from. I had no idea who to call so I joined Angie's list and after reviewing many plumbers on the list I decided on Mark Adams Plumbing. I called them at 7:30 am, left a message and got a call back within minutes. I spoke with the owner and he said that he could be at my home between 11:00 am and noontime. He was at my house at 11:55 am. He asked me some questions, checked out the area and found where the leak was coming from. It was coming from one of my toilets, fixed the problem, tested again before he left and all is well. In summary, he called me back within minutes, arrived when he said he would, listened to what I had to say, used his experience and knowledge to fixed the problem, tested the results and charged me a most reasonable price and he was a total professional. I highly recommend him and he will now be the one I will call for all my plumbing needs.

Called Mark and explained that my bathroom sink drain was leaking. We made an appointment and he and his son came over on the scheduled day and time. After repairing the problem I asked him if he would install a fixture in the downstairs bathroom he said he could , like all repairs he ran into problems and had to replace the drain as well. His work is excellent and reasonable. I would definitely use him again and will let all my friend know about him. A good plumber is hard to find.

I kept finding water around my water heater. Turned out I needed a thermal expansion tank. I contacted Mark after another plumber erroneously replaced my water heater which did not solve the problem. I e-mailed Mark through angies list based on his great reviews and he called me back the very next day. He asked me a few questions over the phone and we were able to determine the work that would need to be done over the phone, as well as a price estimate. His son and him showed up at the scheduled time, right on time, and completed the work quickly. They were clean, fast, and professional. When everything was done, the final price was exactly what he estimated, minus an Angies list coupon I had. It was a pleasure working with Mark and his Son, and I would highly recommend them to anyone, and now I have found my plumber for all my future plumbing needs.

We were getting some insulation installed in the house when the contractor found gas near the water heater. Unfortunately, he was required by law (and good conscience) to shut off the leak even though it was tiny. I called around and Mark Adams was available at a reasonable price. He was able to give an estimate over the phone and stuck to it. He showed up on time, handled the leak quickly and correctly and also flushed both water heaters. (Both were pretty dirty. Our upstairs neighbor reported a huge performance upgrade as a result of the flush.) I was especially impressed that he took time to explain various things such as which valves to shut off if there's a leaking emergency in the middle of the night (when calling a plumber carries astronomical fees). He and his assistant were super professional throughout and a real pleasure to deal with. I would certainly call if I need plumbing services!

Not only did Mark replace the hose, but he gave a detailed explanation as the replacement was being done.

Mark called ahead and arrived on time to install the faucets. Did a great job!

I think he is fabulous. I really like him a lot. His prices are a little bit above average, but you get what you pay for. I've found that his services are reliable. He is very skilled.

They're great. Did the work well, and even taught me a few things along the way.

We called Mark about our leaking water heater early Friday morning. We gave him all the information on our old water heater, and he said he would be there at 12:00. He and his son Rob arrived exactly on time and did a great job. My wife was very pleased with their work. They answered all our questions and explained everything we needed to know about our new water heater. NEAT, PROFESSIONAL, and PUNCTUAL!!! Thanks again.

Not only did Mark (and his son) repair by bathroom issues but on the day they first came to my house - my 4 year old grandson - entertained Mark with his Spiderman impression (including wearing his costume). My daughter reported how patient Mark was with my grandson. When Mark came back on Friday to finish the repair work he brought some Spiderman toys for my grandson (a puzzle, memory game cards and little frisbees). Not expensive but so well received by my grandson. He was so excited when I told him the plumber was coming. Mark also brought a small puzzle for my granddaughter (only a year old). Great job, great guys.

After running a substantial amount of vegetable peelings through the disposal on a Sunday evening I heard water gushing onto our basement floor. Looking at Angie's list we were amazed to see a highly rated plumber in our own town. We called Sunday evening and reached him immediately. He explained what he thought the issue could be, provided a base estimate and some potential additional expenses and arranged an appointment for the next morning. He arrived promptly and completed the work within his estimated cost, clearly explainng what caused the leak and how he was fixing it to my husband. We were delighted to find such a seasoned professional right in our own town.

Mark warned me that his fix may not work due to a very old setup. He was correct. His fix only lasted a few days. It is leaking again..

I used the recommendations on Angie's List to find a nearby plumber for the job and picked Mark based on his high ratings. He was easy to reach and returned calls promptly. He came by when he said he would to look over the job, gave us a quote, and set a time to do the work. He and his son showed up right on schedule and did the job in the time they said they would. No surprises. Very professional and I would definitely do business again.

Mark and his son replaced a sump pump. Timely, dependable, professional. They came out beforehand to look at existing pump and provide an estimate. We would definitely recommend them. We called them initially to unclog a drain and although they don't handle that type of job they recommended Rapid Rooter who was able to deal with the problem quickly and professionally.

On the day of the installation he called me from the store to let me know the exact price of the unit. I wanted a 65 gallon installed which is not a common unit, most being 50 gallon so the price was little more than he anticipated. I appreciated his communication. I was happy with all aspects of the service that Mark provided.

He supposedly fixed the plumbing problem and installed the tub, I had the ceiling fixed yesterday (10/12/11), this morning (10/13/11) we took a shower and their is now a 7 ft. wide by 10 ft. long water spot on the newly installed ceiling. The general contractor who was going to install my tile called mark because the plumbing problem needs fixed first. Mark was being very evasive, and generally unwilling to help. He did not fix the plumbing that I already paid him for, and now he wont fix the damage he did. ****************************************..........UPDATE................UPDATE............UPDATE............*************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** .................PLEASE BE WARY OF THIS CONTRACTOR.........PLEASE BE WARY OF THIS CONTRACTOR .................... Mark Adams ascertains regarding his interactions with me are completely untrue. In a nutshell, I had to have another plumbing company [Milltown Plumbing & Heating - they are outstanding!] come out and FIX THE WORK that Mark Adams did. The reason for the delay in my response is because I filed a complaint with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters in 2011. I just received word on Sept 8, 2013 from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Division of Professional Licensure OFFICE of PROSECUTIONS. After investigation, the Board found in FAVOR OF ME and fined Mark Adams accordingly for his actions. Finally, wouldn't it be common sense that since Mark: 1. went to a my house and supposedly did a proferssional grade job correcting a plumbing problem 2. I subsequently called him because of a different plumbing problem incurred by his workmanship that....................... Instead of alledging that he couldn't do anything because he couldn't find my telephone number.....wouldn't it be common sense that he would then just drive by AND LEAVE A NOTE INDICATING HE HAD LOST MY PHONE NUMBER and to PLEASE CALL him? I think you would agree with me that this would be a reasonable thing to do and would have led to a more responsible resolution on Mark's part. Thank you for the time you took reading my review. I called the plumber, who referred me to a different drain cleaning company. i was a little annoyed by the switch. i had planned to use the displayed coupon. the service man was well over 40 minutes past the end 'window' with no phone call. i had gotten a babysitter for the time, so my toddler would be out of the way, but it was wasted. i called the original plumber, who did apologize profusely, looked right into it, and let me use the $25 coupon. he was polite, fast and efficient when he came. cleaned up, solved the issue.

Mark and his son showed up as promised and did the job in about an hour or so. There were some electrical wires running near the pipe, and they were careful to avoid damaging them with the blowtorch. A pretty routine job, but nicely done.

Came out quickly. Never got an estimate as Mark needed a more detailed write up from us on what we had in mind in order to quote the job. We have decided to use a different plumber for the job.

This, to me, is excellent: He *knew* that our home inspector cited it as a problem and that the insurance company wanted a plumber to look at it (we told him); how many plumbers would've just charged us and replaced it? I consider it a sign of great honesty and service that he told us when we *didn't* need to have work done. Because of this, we *definitely* will call him if we ever have a need in the future.
