Great Muirfield Mechanical was so easy to deal with. They were recommended to me by a Mass Save rep and they were on top of the game. Jeff was out within a week of my call to give me an estimate on installation of the split ac/heat unit. He told me about the rebates available and he answered all my questions.Once I made the decision to go ahead with the service, Linda in the office was very helpful. The guys who came to my home were very professional and fun to be around. They didn't complain once about being in my attic when it was probably 120 degrees up there. They were efficient and cleaned u everything before they left. The electrician showed up a few days later to connect everything and he and his assistant were also very nice, arrived on time and were very professional. Linda from the office submitted the warantee info as well as the rebates for me. Overall this was an exceptional experience and it's so nice to be cool in my home on these sticky summer days without having to run a bunch of window Air conditioners. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to upgrade their heating and ac.

Service personnel responded within one day with replacement parts and installation. They arrived as scheduled and were very professional. Their work was good and reasonably priced. Technicians cleaned up after themselves and disposed of the failed units. I would hire them again.

Very well. The initial visit to diagnose the problem took place within a day of my call for service. The service team came out a week later, found and repaired the leak, refilled and pressure-tested the unit. They were prompt and professional, and the unit has worked great for both heating and cooling since the visit.

I made an inquiry via the website, and within a few hours, I heard back. Nate scheduled an appointment for the same day since he was going to be in my town already. He came and looked at the space. I knew that we wanted to have minisplits installed in two rooms (as those are the rooms that we spend most of our time), but I wasn't sure about the bedroom. He got a quote out to me very quickly for the three room option, and the dollar amount was quite reasonable. After I discussed options with my spouse, we decided that we did not want a unit in the bedroom. I asked Nate to revise the quote to include only the other two rooms. He said that he'd prefer to do the work for the bedroom and the room right below it rather than just the two rooms that we wanted done. I think that we could have come to an agreement to hire Muirfield if they had been willing to provide a quote for doing only the two rooms that we wanted done. Lesson: Be really clear on what you want done before having Muirfield quote a job for you. Muirfield was the first company that we had out to provide a quote, and there was a huge learning curve for us as we did not know much about the products before then.

The 2 technicians, Mike and associate arrived dead on time, were polite, tidy and efficient with all removal work in our 240+ year old farmhouse. The radiator was installed along with the new boiler valves in day one. Unfortunately, there was a glitch in the wall heater installation that was completely out of their control, but after some re-ordering and re-scheduling, they were back in a couple of days to complete the job.....and exceeded my expectations at every level. I've used Muirfield for my boiler and heating maintenance for the past 10 years and based on this experience they'll be my go to HVAC supplier for the next 10 at least. Also, the office staff, especially Linda, are always efficient and more than helpful in scheduling, billing and future maintenance - just a great team of people to deal with overall.

We highly recommend Muirfield. Our experience was excellent. We had a new boiler and hot water system installed. Their cost was comparable to other estimates but their responsiveness was way above others. Once we accepted the proposal they scheduled us the next week and completed everything per their quote. The installation team was very professional, highly communicative, neat, and responsive to all our requests.

We are very happy with our Mitsubishi Electric A/C - Heating unit with air share. When we were quoted we knew Jeff understood our needs for our home and he was a pleasure to deal with. Also the installers were very professional and considerate, I will be using them again in the future. We are very satisfied customers and we received a $500 rebate with our electric and Jeff had all of the paperwork completed which was a tremendous help.

I was put on their schedule fairly quickly and installation took four days. The system is able to keep up in the summer, and it's a huge improvement over window units I've used in the past. The crew was professional and efficient.

Very well. A technician (Chris) happened to be in the area on another call, and came to our house an hour after I first called the company. He cleared a clog in the condenser trap, then vacuumed all the water out of the furnace unit, and explained what he was doing all the while. He was prompt, quick, polite, and professional. Chris did mention that the promptness was not typical; he just happened to be in the area on that day. But it worked out, so we were happy.

Muirfield was and has been fantastic. The president of Muirfield came to the house the Friday afternoon I called, I had the quote on Monday and a whole new system was installed 2 weeks later. In the middle of the A/C busy season. A few things needed adjustment which were completed within several days by the service manager himself, the most critical the same day the unit was turned on. I'm a customer that wants and expects good service (hard to find today) and am prepared to pay for it. I didn't have to hound Muirfield to complete these adjustments and they were done promptly and professionally; as was the entire job. Wish I'd found Muirfield back 12 years ago.

Working with Muirfield was smooth starting from my initial info request. Communication was fast and helpful throughout. Scheduling a site visit and quote with Jeff was easy, he presented his findings and recommendations in a professional manner without getting me lost in industry technical jargon. The quote was very reasonable and came in under a few other companies. Unlike another local company, with Muirfield there were no high pressure sales tactics and I never felt like they were trying to oversell me on unnecessary services which I appreciate. In fact that honesty was a factor in our deciding to upgrade to a different brand. Linda did an excellent job keeping communication open and dealing with scheduling. She arranged for installation as soon as they received my parts. The gentlemen who came out to install were on time, worked quickly and quietly, and were friendly. When they came back out to do the efficiency testing, a small error in the installation process was discovered. Nobody's perfect, but how you respond to a mistake makes al the difference. Linda re-arranged schedules to have their expert back out at the house the very next day, the problem was identified and corrected immediately at no charge, and efficiency testing was completed. Great response. Linda then coordinated all the necessary paperwork for the utility rebate within a day or so. Our new system works great and is much quieter than our old one. I would gladly use Muirfield again and recommend them to friends/family.

Good quick responses from project manager to all questions .Electricians came in first at weekend to add/run 230V circuit from panel to outside . Install team came a few days earlier to do install . They were very pleasant to deal with and were done exactly in time estimated. Very pleased overall. My neighbor was present to help me with a gazebo install and remarked also how good team was.

I am very happy with the service provided by Muirfield Mechanical. Ron came out to give us a quote, and it was a competitive one. We decided to install three new top of the line (XC-25) air conditioners, and we also replaced all three of our furnaces. It was a huge job. The workers were professional and always cleaned up after themselves. Ron kept us informed of the progress every step of the way. We are very happy with our greatly improved HVAC system. The system is so quiet now, which is why we went with top of the line Lennox. You can barely hear the a/c running. Muirfield also worked with us to ensure we got all of the possible rebates we could for our new efficient system. We actually got more rebates than we even expected to get. I plan to use Muirfield for all of our HVAC needs in the future.

Muirfield Mechanical remove my replaced my furnaces in half day. they were were competent and well trained. I like they left my home in a clean and orderly manner. I would definitely recommend them to my neighbors.

They showed up on time for the initial appointment and were very helpful in the process of deciding which system to install. They offered several options and gave the pros and cons for each, and what work would need to be done to install them. They arrived on or before schedule and completed the job quickly and efficiently. Their estimate was competitive with other companies and their commitment to service really shined. The whole process was pretty easy. They even helped with the loan process, provided all the necessary paperwork, and helped file work for the rebates after the install. I would definitely recommend them.

We did use and everything turned out okay. We had an issue where when we turned the heat on it was blowing but not blowing hot air, they fixed everything for us.

Pleasant no-pressure experience from beginning to end. Ron responded to my inquiry immediately, came to my house the next day for an estimate. Did not try to sell me anything I did not need. Helped me make the decision that the mini-split was the right choice for my house. I recieved the estimate within 3 days, and the crew came as scheduled the next weekend to do the installation. Very professional, protected my wood floors with tarps in the work area, cleaned up after themselves. I have been enjoying the benefits of the air conditioning this week! So much better than the noisy window air conditioner.

He never showed and I never received a call saying he would be late or he needed to reschedule.

I got 4 different quotes that ranged from $14600 to over $26000. Muirfield was the first quote and least expensive and gave me the highest level of confidence during the quoting process- I did not choose them solely because they were the cheapest. Read the other reviews here and inquire about their Diamond rating if you choose a Mitsubishi product. These guys were excellent to deal with from day 1. The installation went very smoothly and the install crew listened to my concerns, were very neat and detail oriented. I consider myself a picky person and I wanted as little of the exterior slim duct on my house as possible. The project manager, myself, and the install crew brainstormed on how to conceal the line drops and I could not be happier with the way the system was installed. Beyond the price and flawless installation this company has outstanding home office support. By that I mean the office personnel in the main office filled out all of the paperwork in a timely manner and submitted it on my behalf for all available rebates through Mass SAVES and Mass CEC as well as the Mass SAVES interest free heat loan. The other 3 companies were not even aware of the Mass CEC rebates which for my project are worth $2250.00 although they were rated well on this website. After all of the rebates I will have a total cost of $10,150.00 and an interest free loan for 7 years- All I had to do was sign the paperwork that the home office prepared and submitted for me. Overall an outstanding experience. I will recommend this company to my sister when she is ready. Also, I am on the north shore and not at all out of their area of doing business- they also did a job on Nantucket right before they got to my house so if you are even remotely near these guys I highly recommend giving them a call.

Very impressed with the service and professionalism. The quote was competitive compared to the other providers. They were very responsive and installed the units in 3 - 4 days after I signed the contract. That was an amazing turnaround time. They've been very responsive whenever I've contacted them about any rebates and any questions about the heat pumps. By far the best and most professional service provider I've come across, would trust them with any of my HVAC issues.

We were extremely pleased with the services provided by Muirfield. Prior to heat pump installation, a team of electricians upgraded our system to 200 amps. Subsequent teams of plumbers and heat pump installers were prompt, knowledgable, friendly and open to answering our questions. They arrived on or before schedule and completed this large job in less than a week. In addition, Muirfield's quote was all-inclusive and markedly lower than the other five competing companies which did appraisals. Since installation, we have had several questions answered promptly. This company obviously operates on a high level of expertise and service ethic. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

The owner came to assess our needs, was very knowledgeable about the latest systems, and provided recommendations and a firm estimate. Our house had been inefficiently heated with our old system, the upstairs being 5-10° warmer than the downstairs in the winter, and we had problems with rapid snowmelt on the roof behind our front door causing ice dams and drips freezing on our front deck outside the door. He made good recommendations to address these issues, which so far are working well. We got a new 30% more efficient gas boiler, a new air handler, a new thermostat, and a new external condenser unit. The heat exchanger is able to extract heat from the outside air down to -17°F, and the gas boiler only kicks in when needed. The ductwork was not changed, but he provided an adjustable vent cover so we can better control the air flow. The plumbers, electricians, and other HVAC specialists that he used for various phases of the job were excellent, courteous, and well-trained. The plumber even threw in a frost-free sillcock at my request! Removal of all old equipment, including a previous, unused heating system was thorough, and cleanup at the end of the job was immaculate. The new condenser, boiler, and air handler are all much quieter than our old system, and so far everything is woking well.

The job was a challenge and Muirfield Mechanical Services was the only one out of four we interviewed willing to take it on. It was a big job so it took a while to finish but they did a good job and the system is working well.

We qualified for the Mass home energy rebates alst fall, and desperately needed to replace our systems which were on borrowed time. I basically put the job out to bid and spec'ed it with at least 5 highly rated providers of this service, within the frame work of what we knew we wanted. Muirfield was several thousand less than the nearest comparable competitive bid I sought for my job, and was responsive via email and telephone with any questions. This large replacement job caused us to look at several types/styles of heating system, and we met 2 other businesses we liked as much [Chavez and and had confidence in but the prices were alot higher so we went with Muirfield. We liked Ron alot, and felt he was very hands on and personal about his contact and site visits. We did have a few questions which he resolved very quickly. their staff was also clean and professional when working in our home.
