NES Movers

Not a typical job, but I had a 462 pound bathtub sitting in my garage that our plumbers were unable to bring upstairs for a bathroom remodel we were doing. I called at least 10 companies - piano movers, residential movers, commercial movers, and nobody wanted to touch this. I got referral after referral to companies that refused the job. When I called Nick at NES movers, he enthusiastically told me it wouldn't be a problem, gave me a price over the phone, and came out with a crew of 6 guys 3 hours after my call. Nick and his team were all extremely nice, and they did a great job. The tub made it to its final resting place with no damage. Can't recommend them enough, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them for a full move in the future.

There are not enough words to describe how happy I am with NES Movers! I booked them far in advance, they called a week ahead to confirm. They showed up the day of the move exactly on time. We had a 3 man crew and a large truck. The guys were extremely polite and ready to work! One of them went over the 'rules' and paperwork with me while the others two got started. Then the miracles began! These guys moved things out of our in in 5 minutes that it had taken us an hour to get in 4 years ago. They are careful, and if there was a doubt about anything being to fragile it was given to us to transport. These guys did not STOP - they were amazing! To watch the process was cool- and I was guilt ridden about not helping but you don't mess with the system :-) They got the truck loaded and we arrived at our new destination and it was the same miracle to behold in reverse- everything was in. They had our 2000 square foot townhouse moved in to our 1500 square foot ranch in under 7 hours- talk about fitting a square into a round hole! But they did it.... The best part was that while they were so polite and professional they were also a lot of fun (while still maintaining a fascinating pace). We made sure to feed them and buy them drinks- and each was given a nice tip . They earned it and then some! This would have been worth double the price! I am an insurance agent and have recommended them to clients as well- all were just as happy and they all had different crews. You cannot go wrong with NES!

This is an EXCELLENT company. We used them a few years ago to help us move from one rental to another, and were thrilled that they could help us again. I called about two weeks in advance. Nick answered and helped us immediately. We chose to use a U-Haul rental (which we paid for separately) and hired a three man team. Because our move was local, we had already moved over most of the boxes and smaller things ourselves; we mainly needed NES to help us move furniture, including some extremely heavy pieces. The team showed up exactly at the time promised and got to work immediately. They helped us disassemble (and later reassemble) furniture and loaded everything carefully onto the truck. There was no damage to any of our items. These guys work extremely fast; they arrived at our rental in Providence at 8:30 am and they left our new house in Cumberland just before 10:30am. Completely professional, friendly, and very affordable. I recommend them to all my friends.

I can't say enough about the guys at NES Movers. They were all very professional, courteous and friendly. I would HIGHLY recommend them (and already have spread the word to my network.) Good movers are hard to find and NES would get an A+ rating from me if that was an option.

The move went A+, very smooth and professional. They worked quickly, not wasting any time. Considering they were being paid by the hour, this was very reassuring. Highly recommend these movers.

They did pretty well and picked up everything. They were very helpful, in terms of getting stuff taken care of. They dropped some stuff off at Goodwill or that sort of place, for donations. The only thing bad was there were a couple of little scratches on the floor at the destination.

These guys were great! They helped us move after blizzard and sent right size truck to accommodate for lack of street space due to all the snow everywhere. Definitely more reasonable pricing than others I contacted.

The guys showed up as planned and did a great job moving a bunch of ungainly, heavy equipment and furniture. They were also friendly and courteous and didn't drag snow and mud through out the houses.

Called Nick as his company has moved me out a few apartments. We scheduled a four man crew to come to my home move half the stuff into storage pods and the other half to a temporary apartment while my house is being built. The crew was on time and professional. They were experienced and worked very hard the entire day. I will use them to move into my new home when it is ready. My only feedback is that the have no signage on the trucks or employees. Apparently this company offers storage services. If I knew that sooner I wouldn't have rented pods.

We found these movers through great reviews here and on Yelp, as well. They are remarkably fast, reliable, pleasant, and affordable. God help us if we have to move again soon, but if we do?or know anyone who needs to?NES are the go-to people. Lightning speed, on time, energetic, helpful (we needed a copy of their insurance for our storage company to release our materials, and they emailed it over in a matter of minutes); they also emailed our receipt when the move was done and they were ready to leave. Nick is not only on top of everything, professionally, but friendly and helpful, too; he was communicative by phone and email through this site, kept in touch, and kept his promise?and this was a last-minute project with very, very little wiggle room. He explained costs and time frames from the beginning?no surprises. Perfect, all the way around.

whereI hired NES movers to relocate myself and my elderly mother from a two-family home to a large single-family home about 50 miles away. Because we were moving two full households, we scheduled the move to happen over two days--one day for each household. The total cost was just about $3,000 for both households (10 hours the first day, 9 hours the second). The person who answered the phone when I called was super friendly and helpful, explaining all the options and giving me advice on how to make my move easier and less costly (e.g., to rent a dumpster and do a "purge" beforehand so that I'm not paying to move stuff that I no longer even want). I was having trouble nailing down a moving date, so he advised me to just call when I was ready. I called with literally two days' notice, and it was fine! I had a short time to do a big move, so he advised me to do it over two days so that the movers could make sure that they had as much truck and team as was necessary to fully finish the job on time the second day. The moving team arrived right on time the first day and got right to work. They were a whirlwind! I had everything boxed and ready and they just whisked all that out. Then they set their sights on the big furniture. This is where they really shined. I was worried because I had a lot of very heavy big wooden furniture, and it was on a second floor up a staircase that had a 90-degree turn. The crews who originally delivered some of that furniture had a very difficult time and were distinctly not happy about it. Well, the NES crew was not at all intimidated! They assured me that none of it was a problem, and they got it all right out. They were pleasant and cheerful the whole time, too, which made the whole experience so much easier for me. The crew treated my property as if it were their own. They removed the bulbs from lamps, carefully wrapped appliance cords, disconnected my washer and dryer, disassembled shelving units and tables, disassembled exercise equipment, and fully encased all the furniture in blankets and plastic wrap. Anything remotely breakable or scratchable got carefully wrapped. They also packed and moved seven flat screen TVs, including several 40-50 inch ones and one 70-inch one. None of this cost me a dime over the quoted hourly rate. Because they wrapped everything in plastic, it was not necessary to empty or even remove any drawers. They took dressers, tables, filing cabinets, and even a large upright freezer with all contents still inside, The different team who moved my mother's unit the second day was just as cheerful, professional, careful, and fast. They were very sweet to my mom, who wasn't fully ready to go by moving day. They quickly and cheerfully helped her finish her packing and calmed her nerves. They were also very patient with her beloved but spooked cats. Their service on the destination end was just as awesome. They had a really good sense of where everything should go, quickly bringing everything to its appropriate room (no doubt informed in part by where they originally found everything in the old home). They reassembled the items that they had disassembled, removed and disposed of the plastic, and even helped us decide how best to arrange the furniture in our new house. When they left, our new home was already fairly well set up and comfortable! Everything arrived safe and undamaged--not a single scratch! And again, every one of the guys was pleasant and friendly, even as they were hauling some staggeringly heavy or awkward furniture at the end of a long and tiring day. NES Movers truly came through in a big, big way and I can't thank them enough!

They were PHENOMENAL. They arrived on time, were very friendly and professional, got to it right away. Made it clear from the onset what the day would entail. The second trip was as busy as the first (we have too much stuff), but they kept up and never flagged in their energy. We really, really appreciate how careful they were with our possessions and how cheerful they were through out the operation. They started at 7 AM and we didn't finish until just after 6 PM. We never heard of NES Movers before we used Angies List. So we knew very little about the company other than reviews from others . WE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPIER! We hired a three man crew and a large truck. The scheduled time for the move was 7am, they showed up about 15 minutes early. All three guys were true professional, very courteous and made me feel comfortable right away. The first thing they did was explained the service and how they work. When they started, they took apart our large furniture items like the bedroom set, dining room table and entertainment center ( not the electronics I already had that packed (except tv) ). They did a great job wrapping and packing our delicate items like TV and furniture. I actually did more work than I had to. When I spoke with the guys I didn't have to empty my dresser drawers. They wrap the furniture in plastic so we could have left all the cloths in the drawers. They moved all the furniture into our new home and re-assembled it. They worked with us to place everything where we liked it and when they were done there was NOT a single item DAMAGED. We would HIGHLY recommend NES Movers!! The only thing I forgot to do was give them the 10% Angies List discount coupon. Which would have saved some money.... MY bad! Make sure you mention the coupon..

Nick and his team were fantastic! They showed up early, and I was not ready for them. Nick told me to take my time and not stress, and that they would wait for me to be ready. Each of his team members were extremely courteous with great attitudes. Once ready, Nick took the tour of my house and what was to be packed, and his team got to work right away. Every single guy on his team took the utmost care in handling my household goods. My belongings were organized and boxes were labeled correctly. The load only took 4 hours, and he made sure the to send images of all my boxes and belongings, as well as the manifest so I have for my records. Moving can be extremely stressful, but Nick and his team made the process so easy! I would highly recommend NES Movers. Please note this was part of a relocation package and cost of service is not known to me.

NES did a terrific job making sure that our belongings were carefully moved and we were impressed how fast and meticulously they completed the job. The movers were incredibly personable and made that made the process just that much easier for us.

They were amazing. My wife and I pay a lot of attention to detail. Nick was great, he was enthusiastic, efficient. The crew was there for fourteen hours and maintained a high energy level and did a great job. Every time we called Nick he either answered the phone or called us back within five minuts.

The movers called and said they would be at our house within the hour. They arrived within the hour. The movers were professional and courteous. They worked quickly and carefully. We would definitely use their services again.

I would highly recommend this company for anyone who has to move. they were right on time, extremely professional, friendly and took great care with all my furniture. Everything was wrapped and blanketed. these guys did not stop for a second. I was amazed at how fast they moved all my furniture both out and in of my home(s) .... six hours TOTAL!. They even set up my washer and dryer for me!! just all the little extras I did not expect. Their price was extremely reasonable as well. They moved my dad two weeks prior to moving me, and he had the same experience as I did. We had different crews handling our moves so that tells me that this is the way the whole company runs and not just one specific crew. Use them and you will not be disappointed!

It went perfectly. I was very impressed with Nick's knowledge of moving and handling antique furniture and pianos. You can feel very confident of his leadership and his team. He works with his men very nicely, explaining, all along why he does it the way he does it. I'd have them back this afternoon, if there was more moving to be done!

They arrived early, ran to and from the truck, took care to protect my furniture and put everything where it needed to be. What more can you ask for??

Fast and efficient. Moved a 7 room house across town in 5-1/2 hours. They showed up on time and never stopped moving for the whole time. They wrapped everything well and handled it carefully. We will be using them again next week when we move into my dad's former home.

Very accommodating during several delays before the move finally took place. Moved from a second floor apartment into a basement living space which was not the easiest of moves. Ron, Todd, and Luigi arrived on time and set to work immediately keeping up the pace throughout the process. Took extreme care with wrapping and protecting furniture and were extremely pleasant to work with .No time was wasted but good care was taken. Highly recommend as this company definitely lived up to the prior rave reviews they have received. Price was very reasonable for the service provided.
