Moving companies are difficult to assess before you hire. Every project is so different that I imagine it can be difficult for any company to anticipate all of a customer's needs. This particular company is among the best because they are easy to book, provide a lot of information and reminders via email, and our crew was stellar. The crew is the most important part of the move. They are doing all the hard work while you the customer may be stressed and even overwhelmed. The crew from Horizon was amazing. They listened, they advised, they worked hard and fast and were very nice. It was the first move we have done that had absolutely no issues. The only aspect missing was a home visit from a company rep. who has also worked as a crew mover. I have actually never had a company do this well. They generally send out someone who does not actually do moving and doesn't know what to watch out for. This company did not feel any visit was necessary in our case, and I agreed at the time, but now fee that it should always be part of the service. You never know how differently those doing the job will see your location. They know what to look for and what to watch out for.

2nd time using Horizon. They are prompt, professional, gentle, and FAST. From working with the people in the office on a quote/pre-move, to the actual men working on the move, everyone is a pleasure to work with. I'll continue to use them for all of my Boston moves!

The whole process went very smooth from reservation, to confirming the move to moving. Horizon provided plenty of communication. The movers were polite, on time and very cautious not to damage my walls or items during the moving process. They moved my items in a very timely manner from apartment to house to storage unit. The only item I had an issue with was at my storage unit, I had to provide direction for placing items in my storage unit. For example, I carefully labeled all boxes. The movers were stacking fragile or heavy boxes on top of boxes that had linens. I had to have them rearrange things as they brought items in.

The crew was very efficient , professional, and respectful. They kept us in the loop with their ETA.

I was very pleased with the service from initial home visit/survey of what was to be moved to final delivery of all our furniture. The office staff, Dana, was polite, responsive, and more than efficient. The movers were competent, efficient, very professional and careful with the pieces they were moving. More importantly, they were extremely flexible with pieces added to the list and taken off the list at the last minutes. Everything went very well. I highly recommend them.

Horizon Boston Movers made the process of getting an estimate easy. They were flexible on scheduling. The home office kept me advised of the process at every step. They gave me a reatively narrow window of time when they would arrive and arrived on time. The movers were curteous and efficient. They carefully wrapped eveything that needed to be wrapped. They gave me a relaitvely precise window of when they would arrive at my destination the next day. (It was a 200 mile move and another mover could not tell me within three days when they would arrive.) Everything arrived in good condition. I had a large grandfather clock with glass windows which they carefully wrapped. It arrived in perfect condition. There were NO SURPRISE EXTRA CHARGES! Be careful. Some movers are actually moving brokers and they line up a moving company. You have no idea what you are actually getting, When you work with Boston Horizon Movers you are dealing with the actual service provider. They obviously care about the quality of the services they provide.

The staff were courteous and very efficient. Also very careful health wise and with the furniture that they moved. Very accommodating.

the company was professional from the office person who scheduled the move perfectly to the actual movers. They arrived on time. They carefully wrapped any unboxed items including lamps and my favorite Grandfather clock. All items arrived safely and without any damage.

It was a pretty simple move -- from one apartment to another in the same building. They were prompt and friendly, did a great job, at a great price.

Our move included moving a Sleep Number bed which required some special attention. The crew did not seem familiar with them resulting in some damage. THE COMPANY WAS VERY RESPONSIVE AND TOOK CARE OF THE PROBLEM THOROUGHLY. We were very pleased and we recommend Horizon Boston Movers for their excellent Customer Service.
