BIG FOOT MOVING & STORAGE INC

Went really well. Jim came out and gave me an estimate a few weeks before. The day before the move I called to confirm and Jim called me back within a few hours. I also mentioned I had a bunch of prints I'd need help packing up and he said it wouldn't be a problem. The two movers (Andy & Scott) showed up a few minutes late but basically on time, and got right to work. They packed everything up including all my framed prints, and placed everything exactly where I asked them too. They were friendly and very professional. Everything made it to my new place in the same condition it left my old place. They are a little on the expensive side, the move took longer then the estimate so it cost more then I expected, but you get what you pay for and I'd definitely use them again.

They were great! They gave a very competitive and thorough estimate; they pulled the permit and posted it in a timely fashion; they called the day before the move to be sure all the details were accurate; they showed up when they said they would; the movers themselves were very polite, professional young men; they got the job done quickly and smoothly. I will use this company again.

BigFoot claims to offer 245 cubic feet of storage for $65 per month. Those are actually the OUTSIDE dimensions of the wooden crate that they like to call a "vault". The INSIDE storage space turns out to be only about 216 cubic feet. Call most any self storage facility, even in Boston proper, and you can get 600 cubic feet of storage for about $70. BigFoot wanted to charge me every time I wanted to access my stuff or even to just see my property, so you might as well go to a self storage facility where you get an access code and a key and you can get at your stuff as often as you like for no additional charge. BigFoot claims to offer a discount to Angie's List customers but there are lots of undisclosed terms that you must meet in order to get this discount.

I have had storage with Big Foot for over a year now and have had no issues what so ever. My decision to store at the Arlington warehouse was hands down the easiest to make. The facility is clean as a whistle and the storage pods are spacious. I feel completely confident that my items are extremely secure. I have also used Big Foot moving services 2 times in the past 3 years and they have been wonderful. I have moved many times in my life (at least 15) and I have never encountered such a respectful staff of movers. My personal items and furniture were taken care of perfectly! My china was packed and unpacked beautifully. When I wanted my heaviest piece of furniture moved 3 different times to fit the ?right wall?, Byron and his staff did not even bat an eye. Both moves were the most successful I have experienced to date.

We had a positively wonderful experience working with Big Foot Moving & Storage. From the on site estimate with the very personable owner Mike, to our large move with his excellent and courteous staff, my husband & I would never have been able to do it with out them?..especially with a 3 month old and dog at home as well! We had a very tricky closing time on the home we were moving out of and the new home we purchased, but BFM&S reassured us that our ?life? would be safe in their hands. We moved out on a Thursday, closed on both properties on Friday and moved into our new home on Saturday morning. BFM&S did a 2 night (overnight) hold with 2 completely full trucks and then delivered our items 1st thing Saturday morning. Our furniture was meticulously cared for and wrapped properly as was our large art collection. We were also very impressed with the Big Foot Storage facility in Arlington. Upon arrival to pick up additional boxes and moving essentials, I could not believe how clean the storage warehouse was! Although we were able to store all our items at the new home, I would have no issues with my furniture or belongings being stored in their immaculate and sound warehouse vaults. I would highly recommend Big Foot and I will continue to sing their praises to fellow co-workers and friends. I have no doubt that they are the best moving company in the Boston metro area.

Our experience overall was very positive right from the initial call to the final settlement. Mike personally came to the house to assess how much stuff we had and provided an accurate estimate of the cost of work involved. The movers showed up on time on the day of the move and were professional and courteous. They worked quickly and efficiently and loaded everything in less time than we had originally budgeted. The unloading at the new location went just as smoothly and much care was taken to not damage the floor and walls. All the re-assembly of the furniture was performed to satisfaction. Terry was always prompt to return calls and answer any questions we had prior and post move. Keep up the good work.

He packed everything up real nice. He didn't damage a thing when he moved the furniture. I was very comfortable having him in my house and home. I am going to use him again in the future.

I worked via email with Mike to get a quote for my move from Leominster, MA to Clinton, MA. He was very responsive and easy to deal with. Terri was also very helpful anytime I called the office with additional questions. The day of the move was 95 degrees, hot and humid. Byron and his crew showed up within the time frame I had been given (8-9am) as they said they would. Byron walked through the house asking questions and getting an idea of what needed to be moved as not everything in the house was ours. They worked quickly, efficiently and helped to pack some artwork we hadn't packed. They were careful with all of our belongings, even shrink wrapping the back seat of our Jeep to move it for us. We had a lot to move, it took almost 10 hours and one of the last things to be done was moving a box spring upstairs. It wouldn't fit, but Byron came up with an alternative way to get it up there. I was really impressed by Byron and the other two movers. They were so friendly and really easy to work with. I would recommend Big Foot to anyone.

The central office was always responsive and pleasant over the phone. Very accommodating, available and flexible. They listen and seek solutions instead of trying to force you into a mold. As for the movers, they were excellent. Very nice, professional, efficient, careful and thorough. I had complete confidence in them.

It went great. I was pleased that they showed up early and on time, and the crew (headed by Byron I believe his name was) was super. They were nice and treated our stuff as if it was their own. They took great care to wrap everything up and none of our items were damaged. The crew chief gave me some good advice I had not heard about my plasma TV that I had moved myself, and let me know that I needed to leave it standing up for a while so that the TV would work properly. They aren't just hired muscle, they are smart and thoughtful guys who do a good job.

The team arrived at 8:30 a.m. and was ready to roll. Konstantine ran a very tight ship and David and Brian were hungry for things to move. All three of them clearly took great pride in their work. They were extremely organized, professional, careful, considerate, strong and fast. They realized that moving is stressful for their clients and they did their best to ensure we were comfortable with their services. They were even great with our kids, as they gave them a tour of the big truck. It was a 90 degree day, with a nasty thunderstorm, but these guys did not slow down for a full 12 hours. Needless to say, we were impressed with their endurance and very thankful for their help. The owner was also eager to go above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience. They helped us out with some extra boxes during our packing phase.

The movers called and gave a window period for when they would be there and they called when they were on their way. They were very careful moving the televisions. I felt that the price was reasonable and fair. They were very professional, courteous, and cautious. I would use them again.

We were very happy with the special care they took moving our belongings and they were very respectful and courteous the entire time. Although I am not completely sure the price I have posted is exactly what they charged us, they did come in well within the estimate they told us they would before they began the work. The price was fantastic.

The movers are excellent and I was very happy with their work. I called the company only a few days before the move and they were able to accommodate my request and they got back to me right away after I left a message. However, they rescheduled my move for an earlier time and then ended up starting later than the original appointment. I also feel that the amount they charged me for travel time was higher than it should have been.

John was very responsive on the phone leading up to the move. The move itself went extremely smoothly thanks to the crew (headed up by Tyler). They were able to keep the items going to the two destinations straight, they were polite and friendly, and they were careful with my belongings. My move included some big pieces of furniture and tight quarters on the destination end, and they completed it in an impressive 4.5 hours!
