Description of Work: We chose Big Foot because we had used them to move into the apartment we are now leaving, to move into our new single family home. |The crew (1 lead and 2 additional movers)called us ahead and arrived on time. Prior to the move, a representative came out to see the apartment and make sure the movers would be prepared for everything we had. Upon arrival the guys took a look at our stuff and worked very quickly and orderly to pack and load things, using lots of blankets and placing things just right to avoid damage. We have many antiques and fragile furniture among the load, and not one thing was damaged! These guys are professional, friendly, efficient, and helped me especially, to "get through" the stress of the move. I always recommend them when someone I know is moving - THANKS BIG FOOT!!!

Description of Work: These guys are terrific. We have moved 5 times over the last decade, so I've had lots of experience with many movers. In the future, Big Foot is the ONLY mover I will ever use again. The price was competitive. Frankly, if they are a bit more than other quotes, I'd still use them. They moved our things out/in with AMAZING speed. (Others are slower, thus their quote may be higher.) Due to business changes, I will be moving 2-3X in the 3 years. I've already reserved one of the dates with Big Foot. Recommend them without any hesitation!!!

Description of Work: We used Big Foot to move us out of our house and into a temporary apartment and store many of our things in their storage and then move us back to our house. They arrived promptly on both moving days and worked extremely fast. One individual packed up our entire kitchen while the others loaded the truck with boxes and furniture. After the move and five months of storage, we were happy to see all items still in great shape. Really nice guys, too. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: I called Big Foot Moving because I needed to store furniture for 2 weeks in between closing on houses - they were great. They were able to move all my furniture out of my old house, into storage and then back into my new house two weeks later without any issues. The guys were great -Â very friendly and moved fast -Â they even beat their quote by about $200. Overall great experience -Â highly recommended.

Description of Work: From the the beginning, working with Big Foot Movers was a smooth, professional experience! Jim Cronin came and did the walk through of our 7 room house for the moving estimate. He had good suggestions and and answered all my questions. The plan was for the movers to come on a Monday, pack their truck with our belongings, keep them overnight, and deliver them to our new home the next afternoon. Everything went extremely well the first day! Mike and his crew, Greg and Sean were careful, courteous, and were able to complete the load in the timeframe estimated by Jim. On the day we were supposed to meet them at our new home, they were extremely patient, and waited for us, through late closings. Even when the torrential rain started, they never lost their cool. We ended up making the decision to have them stop unloading the truck, due to the significant storm. They returned the next day, unloaded the truck, without a single complaint. They waived the 2nd night of storage and gas surcharge, because I think they felt so badly about our difficult move with the rain. Despite the conditions, nothing was damaged, scratched or dented. Due the 3rd day of moving, the final cost ended up being approximately 1400 more, however that was our call due to the storm.

Description of Work: They arrived on time and ready to go. They did everything and anything I asked including being prepared and then packing difficult objects such as paintings, pictures, odd sized lamps and other precious objects. Most amazing was how they reorganized the remaining items we still had in our basement. They created pathways so potential buyers can now access the hot water heater and electrical panels, and yet we can still get to all our things. Even more incredible was the way they took all the boxes we had packed in a double car garage and moved them into a storage facility. We had rented a 10 x 10 x 20 unit-the largest available b/c we had so much stuff, and Big Foot movers uniformly stacked the boxes so well that we still have over half the unit left to fill with future boxes. Super pleasant staff and wonderful workers!

Mike personally came to the house to assess how much stuff we had and provided an accurate estimate of the cost of work involved. The movers showed up on time on the day of the move and were professional and courteous. They worked quickly and efficiently and loaded everything in less time than we had originally budgeted. The unloading at the new location went just as smoothly and much care was taken to not damage the floor and walls. All the re-assembly of the furniture was performed to satisfaction. Terry was always prompt to return calls and answer any questions we had prior and post move. Keep up the good work.
Description of Work: Big Foot helped us move our belongings from Newton to Sudbury. We packed everything ourselves and looked to them to move all the boxes and heavy furniture.

+ -1 moreI contacted Big Foot to get a quote on a move from a 1100 sq. ft. apartment to a 1500 sq. ft. condo. Jim responded to my inquiry right away, and came out to our apartment the next day to assess our moving expenses. He was punctual, responsive to my questions, and professional, his quote, however, was more than triple what other companies quoted me. So needless to say, I didn't use this company.

+ -1 moreI worked via email with Mike to get a quote for my move from Leominster, MA to Clinton, MA. He was very responsive and easy to deal with. Terri was also very helpful anytime I called the office with additional questions. The day of the move was 95 degrees, hot and humid. Byron and his crew showed up within the time frame I had been given (8-9am) as they said they would. Byron walked through the house asking questions and getting an idea of what needed to be moved as not everything in the house was ours. They worked quickly, efficiently and helped to pack some artwork we hadn't packed. They were careful with all of our belongings, even shrink wrapping the back seat of our Jeep to move it for us. We had a lot to move, it took almost 10 hours and one of the last things to be done was moving a box spring upstairs. It wouldn't fit, but Byron came up with an alternative way to get it up there. I was really impressed by Byron and the other two movers. They were so friendly and really easy to work with. I would recommend Big Foot to anyone.

As for the movers, they were excellent. Very nice, professional, efficient, careful and thorough. I had complete confidence in them.

+ -1 moreIt went great. I was pleased that they showed up early and on time, and the crew (headed by Byron I believe his name was) was super. They were nice and treated our stuff as if it was their own. They took great care to wrap everything up and none of our items were damaged. The crew chief gave me some good advice I had not heard about my plasma TV that I had moved myself, and let me know that I needed to leave it standing up for a while so that the TV would work properly. They aren't just hired muscle, they are smart and thoughtful guys who do a good job.
Description of Work: They moved me from a 900 sq. ft 4th floor apartment in Arlington, MA to a house in Framingham, MA. The move included 2 bedrooms, an office, a living room, kitchen and 2 bathrooms worth of furniture and boxes.

+ -1 moreThe team arrived at 8:30 a.m. and was ready to roll. Konstantine ran a very tight ship and David and Brian were hungry for things to move. All three of them clearly took great pride in their work. They were extremely organized, professional, careful, considerate, strong and fast. They realized that moving is stressful for their clients and they did their best to ensure we were comfortable with their services. They were even great with our kids, as they gave them a tour of the big truck. It was a 90 degree day, with a nasty thunderstorm, but these guys did not slow down for a full 12 hours. Needless to say, we were impressed with their endurance and very thankful for their help. The owner was also eager to go above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience. They helped us out with some extra boxes during our packing phase.

+ -1 moreThe movers called and gave a window period for when they would be there and they called when they were on their way. They were very careful moving the televisions. I felt that the price was reasonable and fair. They were very professional, courteous, and cautious. I would use them again.
Description of Work: I needed to have a few large televisions moved around my house, one going downstairs and one going out of the house. I called Big Foot and they came out within a half an hour and gave me an estimate and we set up the next day to do the work. Jim Cronin, the gentleman that gave me the estimate, called me back to give a window period of when they would be there the following day to perform the service.

Although I am not completely sure the price I have posted is exactly what they charged us, they did come in well within the estimate they told us they would before they began the work. The price was fantastic.
Description of Work: They moved my 2 bedroom home, approximately 2700 hundred square footage of beds, dressers, tables, couches, personal belongings about 15 miles to our new home. They took around 8 hours to both assist in packing and moving us and everything arrived safely.

His company is very up-to-date with technology because I had a digital estimate delivered via email within hours. Because I had difficulty printing a readable version of the proposal, he was very happy to send me a word doc attachment. Had Big Foot been able to move me on Saturday rather than Monday, I would have used their services. As it turned out, I ended up moving in last weeks monsoon, so Monday would have been a better day to move.

I called the company only a few days before the move and they were able to accommodate my request and they got back to me right away after I left a message. However, they rescheduled my move for an earlier time and then ended up starting later than the original appointment. I also feel that the amount they charged me for travel time was higher than it should have been.

They were able to keep the items going to the two destinations straight, they were polite and friendly, and they were careful with my belongings. My move included some big pieces of furniture and tight quarters on the destination end, and they completed it in an impressive 4.5 hours!
Description of Work: Performed loading, transport, and unloading for two moves from one household on two consecutive days. (N.B. Price is for only one of the moves, mine.)
