Live Oak Landscape

This is actually the second time we have used Jeff Lee (Live Oak Landscape) because of the great job he did previously. He also redid the landscaping for the last home we purchased in Baton Rouge about 4 years ago. We literally won "yard of the month" after he completed the job and there were some serious green thumbs in our neighborhood. This time he came to our home and walked the property listening to all of my and my wife's likes and dislikes about the existing landscaping and getting an idea of our budget. After a few minutes of thought and evaluation, he developed and reviewed a plan with us to keep and update some existing landscaping and then showed his ideas for newly designed landscaping as well. He listens to his customer but has a wonderful eye for design that compliments the house wonderfully. I'm also amazed at his extensive knowledge of virtually every kind of plant, tree, grass, etc. and how they work within our landscape/his design. Once the plan/design was agreed he gave us an estimate but told us he would firm it up once he spoke with his suppliers (which he did). He also consulted us and showed us some of the plants, mulches, stone, etc. that he was planning on using prior to the actual install date to ensure that we were happy even though I fully trusted his selections based on our previous experience. He also stayed in touch with us about start date and time; the time did shift some due to weather but he kept us informed. He also told about how long it would take and what to expect from a yard/driveway disruption standpoint. He and his crew arrived exactly when they said they would and the job went exactly as he had planned/explained. He had no problem with me/us being there and even asking questions or making suggestions if something was a little different than we had envisioned. He's honest and upfront about what will cost more money and how much it will be if we wanted to make changes. Yet again, I'm more than pleased at how our landscape turned out and the knowledge and eye that Jeff has for landscaping. He's very professional, honest, and wonderfully friendly to top it off; and when it comes time to work, he's all business. No wasted time from him or his crew. We will continue to use Jeff and Live Oak Landscape for all of our landscaping needs.
