Roland was prompt, took time to explain various options. He also explained the effects the government rules that are changing the house hold AC unit, in much the same way as the car AC units were changed a few years ago. He was courteous, and respectable of the customer's property. His demeanor was friendly and open and made you feel comfortable with his explanations. What I liked best was that he gave me options, and didn't tell me what he was going to do, but let me decide.
Description of Work: I called Lambert Air Conditioning & Refrigeration when my AC unit quit cooling my rental house. We set a time to meet, and when I arrived Roland Lambert was there waiting for me. He was actually early for the appointment. He did a quick physical check of the outside unit and spotted a condenser coil that had been damaged by a weed eater. He then checked the upstairs unit, put his gauges on the unit to confirm his diagnoses. He showed me how bad my outside unit was. The outside unit was about 15 years old. We discussed replacement of the unit, but because the government has discontinued the use of R22 refrigerant in new unit, I would have to replace the whole system. This would amount to about $4500.Roland thought he could find a good used outside unit to replace my damaged one. I told him to see what he could find. A couple of days later, he called and said he had found a unit that was the same size as mine. He replaced my unit with the used unit and it has been working very well. While he was pulling the vacuum, I asked if he could look at the AC unit in my house, as I thought the fan speed was to low. He explained that low fan speed was normal for a Trane unit, but he would check to to see if it was set correctly. He checked my Trane unit it out and told me it was operating as it was designed. He told me if I wanted the fan speed to operate faster he could make that happen, but recommended leaving as it was designed. I decided not to increase the fan speed.Roland could have sold me a new unit at the rental house, but he is concerned about doing the best job for the customer, He could have charged me for inspecting my Trane unit, but he did not. Just part of the job was his view. Roland was friendly, courteous, and offered various solutions to me. I have made arrangements with him to service both my AC units in the future.
