Multiple jobs have been done for me by Patrick Durbin, some routine and some taking some creative thinking on how to get them done the best way. He went out of his way to research the best products to use and gave me several options, to suit my preference. He made sure I was completely satisfied with the work that was preformed and made sure the work area was left neat and clean. I would highly recommend him and his crew who are polite, trustworthy, as well as good at their tasks.

Mr. Durbin agreed to an appointment on the weekend. However, he never showed or called. I followed up asking to see if he could reschedule, I never received a response by phone or email.

They were overly priced though I don’t recall the amount. They responded quickly and came out the next day with their quote. They were on time. We will not use them again.

They were excellent, honest and did everything they said they were going to do. This company did not pressure me for anything so I liked that. They were people-friendly and easy to work with.

I originally contacted Certified Handyman through their online website. Patrick Durbin called me in timely manner. He came out and looked at the scope of the job. I thought he was a little slow in getting back to me with the estimate, but once he did, everything went very smoothly. He replaced on plank of my deck that was completely rotted through, then powerwashed and stained my deck. Everything looked great, and he was able to complete the job while I was at work. Several days later, he followed up with a phone call to make sure I was satisfied. I would definitely reccommend him. I would say that I also contacted a better known handyman service through their website. I never received a call back - not even to tell me that they were too busy to handle my job.

I will only use Pat Durbin and Certified Handyman for any remodel, construction or handyman services in the future. Having had bad experiences with "handymen" in the past, I was skeptical before contacting Pat. Pat was punctual, returning calls when he said he would (even if he was working another job at the time) and arriving a few minutes early - even when coming to give an estimate. Pat always showed up wearnig a Certified Handyman polo-style shirt, as did the other men who came to work with him. At our first meeting, he measured the opening for my basement door. I was impressed that he did not try to "oversell" me as other handymen/contractors had. While others had said the opening for my door was a "special-order" size, Pat confirmed my suspicions that this was something contractors frequently do in order to charge extra for work not needed. He accurately measured the opening, coming up with the same measurements I had. He helped me coordinate with the store where the new door was purchased, and arranged to pick up the door for a minimal fee. Additionally, Pat provided estimates for exterior wood repair and fixing some of the shoddy work left by other contractors I had previously used. His prices were among the lowest I had received. When the day came to perform the services, Pat called me while picking up the door to be installed to explain he believed there were problems with it. He and his crew brouoght the door to my home and showed me the issues that concerned them. They then completed all of the other work they had planned for the day, cleaned up and returned the door to the store at no charge. Pat worked with the door manufacturer to guarantee they built the door I wanted. Later, when the second door was ready, Pat picked up the door AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!. He and his crew were extremely polite to my wife, taking extra time to explain to her what they were doing and why. They removed the old door and cleaned up everything so well, it was as if they were never there. Even though it cost him additional time and work, Pat stuck to his original estimate, and did not charge me for any of the extra work he put in. Nearly a year later, everything he worked on still looks as good as new. I just can't say enough about Certified Handyman and Pat Durbin. This guy is a real class act.

Pat and I carefully worked out a contract and payment schedule. He communicated well. When we ran into unexpected problems, he worked easily with someone else I had to bring in. He cleaned up at the end of each day. He called in the evening to make sure all was well and to let me know what I needed to be on top of for things to keep the project on track. It was a pleasure working with him.

Quality was excellent and he had good ideas on how to work within my budget and still deliver good work. Very friendly and trustworthy. I'm happy to have found someone here in town to go to with the various things my older home will need.
