Response from Wildcat Moving LLC
I would like to start by pointing out that out of our 90+ reviews we have had three below a B. One F rating for refusing to pick up rotten wood and manure. One C rating by a customer who was completely happy but a little confused. And this D rating. Overall we have an excellent GPA. This lady is a hoarder. There is no other way to put it. She lived in a 1400 square foot home and it took two 26 foot truck loads to get the job done. We have no way of vetting our customers before we book or we would have never scheduled this move. We wouldn't move her again if she offered to pay triple. Let me address her complaints: 1) Our movers are clean-cut and responsible young men who are mostly working their way through college. We are the top paying moving company in Kentucky so we can hire the cream of the crop. In fact, many of our movers are UK student athletes. UK basketball player Tod Lanter and UK football Mister Cobble are two of our many outstanding young movers. This lady was not burglarized her missing stuff is at the bottom of a huge stack of old junk somewhere. 2) Our movers where no complaining about the amount of glass but the way in which it was wrapped for us to transport. It was a disaster waiting to happen and they told her that exact thing the morning of the move. Contractually, Wildcat Moving has no responsibility for damage to glass, pottery or fiber-board furniture because of its fragile nature but we alter this policy when aage is caused by mover neglect. In this case the customers poor packing caused the broken glass. She signed the contract, the glass policy was in bold, she was warned about her poor wrapping job and she still complained anyway when we would not pay to replace it. As the owner it's very frustrating. 3) We sent a professional furniture repair technician to the customers home to fix the damage to the 'antiques' and he reported to us that the furniture damage was minor and most of it appeared to be either cat scratches or very old. He told us that we should be vary weary of a scam in this situation. We paid him to make the repairs anyway. 4) One issue that the customer failed to mention was that our crews had apparently put some items in the wrong rooms. She called and demanded that we send a crew to rearrange. Our crew was at this lady's home for 12 hours sorting and rearranging for free. This customer should be ashamed of her review of our small local business. We are the best at what we do but she needed a therapist and a dumpster rather than a moving company.
