Overall, the door quality is alright. For the price, you may not find a better door. The opener is nothing to write home about. I have had a few problems with a pin coming out, but I just fixed it right away. The big problem is communication and followup on work with this company. Next time I would spend more money just to have a company that is trained with better customer service.

I received a recommendation to use them from a homebuilder in town, Mike Kerwin. I called their number and then came into the store to look at sample colors for the garage door I was interested in. They quoted a price and were able to install the door pretty quickly. I love the quality, aesthetics and had a really nice guy install the garage door. would recommend to anyone

The owner knew exactly what was wrong. I had no clue. There is a little widget on the side of the garage door that I have had for 25 years. I didn't know it was there. It had gotten pushed through and it was locked manually. He knew that by my description over the telephone. He charged me $75 to make out for a 5 or 6-mile trip. It was outrageous. I should perhaps have known that it was there, but I didn't and I described it. It would only go halfway up and I had disengaged the motor. It still would only go halfway up. He could have asked me if I had looked at the side, but he didn't. He came out. He was quick. I would not call him back in the future.

The repair man, Steve, arrived on time within the timeframe promised. Initially, I was just going to get the malfunctioning door opener repaired. But, Steve quoted us an incredible price to have my old, builder-grade, non-insulated garage replaced with a new insulated door. I agreed to the new door and Steve came back the next morning to install it. The new door looks great, has a tight seal to the opening and I can already tell a significant difference in the temperature in the garage -- it feels to be about the same temp as the inside of the house! The new door is even a near-identical match to the vinyl and trim on my house. Best of all, they threw in the cost of the door opener repair for free (which was going to cost me about $150)!! From start to finish, this was a great experience. Melinda in the office was very kind and accommodating and I can't say enough about Steve -- he was very conscientious, efficient and helpful with questions. He cleaned up thoroughly and even replaced a burned out light in the opener. I am thoroughly happy with the job and very glad I called Amzac. I can confidently and without hesitation recommend Amzac for all your garage door needs.

My wife and I interviewed three reputable (i.e. from Angie's List), Lexington-based garage door firms. Our criteria included quality, energy efficiency, schedule, customer service, and overall cost. We selected Amzac. The installation was very well done and completed as promised. The installer was professional, highly qualified, personally neat, did a very clean job, and hauled off the old material. The salesman followed up and asked for feedback that would improve Amzac's customer service. We highly recommend Amzac.

The response was great. Amzac scheduled the appointment and completed the work promptly as I understand it. They had me on file and mailed me the bill for the work. My primary residence is out of state. This made it very convenient. My only complaint is that Amzac made no attempt to contact me regarding the condition of the door or whether or not it was an easy fix. I had no contact from them, and really didn't know if they made the appointment, until I received the bill in the mail. Because of this I rate 'professionalism' as a 'B'. I rate 'Quality' as N/A because I haven't personally witnessed the quality of the work.

Amzac was one of three local firms that quoted the job. Amzac's pricing was in-line and we found the insulation rating of the doors to be superior. Installation went smoothly and the installer was first class. The doors have a better than advertised appearance and the door openers are very quiet.
