â We can fix thatâ should be the motto of the company. The whole front door and transom windows were left out. When they did cut them in, there were large gaps on load bearing walls. Squash blocks were an inch short in many places. Poor communication and lots of blaming along the 2800 square foot project. Would not recommend.

We cannot say enough good about David; he is congenial and was very honest in his dealings with us. He is a perfectionist and gives great care and attention to detail, and the same is reflected in his crew. Our project included tearing out a wood elevated deck with attached platform deck, and reinstalling both with composition decking. We started out uncertain about exactly what we wanted, and David offered options and alternatives. We changed direction a time or two and he was extremely patient and very conscientious about keeping the cost within our budget. We had some weather delays, and we appreciated that David kept us informed throughout that time so we knew when he would be at our home. We highly recommend Central Kentucky Home Improvement, David and his crew for any project you may have. They are extremely talented and can do it all!

These folks are fantastic! My wife and I looked long and hard for someone to tear down our old deck and build a 4-season sunroom. Everything, from the initial planning stages to the last-minute touches, were made easy by David Ison and his team. What a great bunch of guys. Every one of them was courteous and professional, and we got to thinking of them as family. David didn't mind us adding on to our project, and even had suggestions along the way to make things better or save us money. We highly recommend David and his crew for any projects you have, big or small.

David and his company built a beautiful deck on the front of my house several years ago. I now want him to build another on the back of my home. 5 stars!!!

Everything was great until the deck trim (skirt) was installed. The length of the deck is longer than the trim so it had to have an additional piece cut and added on each side of the deck. The installers did not match the corners (one is beveled, one is straight). On the beveled side, the seams do not line-up and looks tacky. Contacted David, they came back and fixed everything. Will use them for future jobs.

They were professionals and did more than we agreed they would do at no extra cost I would hire them again

The new steps and landing to our back door are safe now thanks to this contractor.

We could not be happier with David Ison and Central KY Home Improvements! We had a deck and front porch that were 25+ years old and needed to be rebuilt. He has an incredible design, had great suggestions and improved upon what we had before. We now have an incredibly solid and beautiful deck and porch! He worked with us to accommodate any special request and made sure his guys corrected any issues, even ones we did not notice. The job site was cleaned, even sent someone back with a magnet to make sure no nails! He was dependable and easy to work with. Prices very reasonable and cannot be beat for quality of work.

They delivered on what they promised

We couldn't be happier with the deck and door that David and his team built and installed for us. Not only do they take alot of pride in their work but also were very easy to work with. David was able to make sure that we got everything we wanted in our planned budget. He even ran several estimates so we could choose what was best for us. The deck turned out better than we expected. The attention to the small details is what sets David and his team apart. If we didn't like something on the deck they fixed it immediately. No questioned asked. We will definitely use David and his team for future projects as well recommend him to our family and friends. Thanks David for the amazing new deck!

David & crew were punctual and competent. They did an excellent job rejuvenating my screened in porch and at a reasonable price. Had a small glitch at the end, but it was quickly taken care of.

Omg such a wonderful group to have build our deck. Went above and beyond expectations and was done a whole week ahead of time.

We hired this contractor based on reviews and the initial meetings for a major outdoor space project( large deck and roof, & remodel of existing deck). David was courtious, but made some promises that did not fully hold up. His core team of contractors were attentive, and did a good job under his direction. There were some issues with a couple subcontractors which were unacceptable. David attempted to correct these unreliable subs, and for the most part did OK with delays and rework. One construction issue which cannot be corrected due to the large extent of the project was overlooked. The end product looks nice, but the delays and some promises ( especially relating to subs not showing up, or doing substandard work ) became a little frustrating. Overall, we are satisfied with the end product. A couple issues that need attention are awaiting a subcontractor again. They did not show when promised. We are confident that these issues will be remedied eventually, as we believe David will stand behind his work.

Central Kentucky Home Improvement recently repaired and sealed the wood deck at our home. They did an excellent job and left the work space cleaner than they found it. David's quote was very reasonable and the quality exceptional. Everyone in his crew was pleasant to work with. I give them an A+ for this job and have several other projects for which I intend to hire them!!

My project actually ended up better than what David and I had discussed. VERY sturdy and high end! I was please that the crew could build exactly what I wanted for the exact price I wanted! They are very professional even washed my patio off! Would definitely recommend them and will be calling back for my next project!

David and his crew had previously built our deck so when it became time to clean and reseal it, he was the only person we wanted. In spite of his very busy schedule, he fit us in and, as before, did a "top notch" job. Our deck looks better then new. Thank you David and CKHI.

You always hear about horror stories when people hire contractors to work on a project. My experience with David and his crew was exactly opposite of that. They performed the work as expected and the quote was what I was expecting, even a little lower. They are a busy crew with several projects going on, so there were a few things that I had to remind them of about the project that we had talked about and agreed to. I would definitely hire them again for other projects that I need.

David and his crew were great to work with and made the experience pretty painless. He was prompt with all appointments, even early for some. The work was well done and if there was a problem, it was quickly corrected. I will be calling him back when I need another project completed.

David and his crew were truly professional in all aspects of the work. From the initial visit stating what is needed to be done to the completion of the job. All facets of the work was great from the deck cleaning to the install of new rails. The crew was very polite, and answered all our needs. I most highly recommend this man and crew. I will certainly use him again.

Great Work at a great Price!

David and crew were quite, polite, helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. David took his time and suggested options to our wooden deck. They removed the patio furniture and current porch which came down too quickly. David and his crew were very quite, we had to look out the front door to see if they were still working. David started on time and finished before the deadline. Changes to the plan were also completed in a timely manner. The quote was extremely reasonable and the deck is beautiful. We will enjoy it with our multi-generational family for years to come. We are hiring him again soon.

David repaired our deck he put new braces underneath, the work was wonderful. He came when he said he would and finished on time. I am very pleased and will use him again.
