"Thank you, [member name removed], for your kind review. My company, Emergency Management Systems, located in Crestwood, KY, sells and installs Emergency Medical Alert and Security Systems. These are Life Safety and Property Protection devices, systems and services critical in the protection and preservation of life and property. We take our responsibilities seriously and have built our business upon the complete satisfaction of our customers. We have maintained a BBB rating of A+ since we joined the BBB in 1999 simply by doing that which is necessary to resolve our customer's problems. If they have a problem with our equipment, regardless of its manufacturer, or with our service we will do all within our power to make it right. It's just the right thing to do. In [member name removed] case, she purchased a wonderful product from LogicMark called GuardianAlert 911. It's a Medical Alert System with two-way voice pendant that communicates directly to the local 911 operator when the system's emergency function is activated. On occasion the pendant and its base unit connected to the telephone line may lose communication with one another and that is why the manufacturer and I stress frequent testing of the communications link between the two devices. The manufacturer has even included a simple testing process and offers 24/7 customer technical support to answer customer questions or concerns. [member name removed] had such a problem and called me. I advised her to contact the manufacturer Tech Support number for advice and assistance in correcting the issue which is often easily corrected. Apparently, the issue could not be corrected and the manufacturer offered to replace the item but, since it was out of warranty (1 year), they would replace the base unit for a cost of $75. Understandable and reasonable. [member name removed]called me to report the results of her conversation with the manufacturer. I decided to send her a replacement instead. Again, I take Med Alert Systems seriously. I have a mother too and I would not want my mother to be without her system for too long a time. I have not had a lot of difficulty with any of LogicMark's products. They make a wonderful line of products that I'm proud and confident to offer to my customers. I just made the decision to replace the item even though the manufacturer did not. LogicMark made a business decision. The product was just outside its warranty and I chose to support my customer in her effort to take care of her mother. Simple."
