Mission Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. has been in business in Shawnee, Kansas since 1978. We specialize in residential plumbing, heating, and air conditioning repairs to all brands. We are factory trained and have the nationally recognized NATE certification for your peace of mind that you have contacted a certified professional. We offer 24 hour emergency service for plumbing, furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and boilers scheduled maintenance plans on your existing system and system replacement with Lennox and Trane furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps, Honeywell and Lennox thermostats and control systems and Aprilaire humidifiers. All of our pricing is “Up Front” pricing so you know what the total cost of any work before you authorize any job to be done. He was very nice, he was here, he was quick but it cost me $350 just for the service and I felt like I was in a bad position , 1 hour work for the price was excessive.

I had a hot water heater replaced a few years ago by Mission and had a crucial part stop working. While the part was still under warranty, I paid for a service fee to have it replaced at a fair cost (just labor, the part was under warranty). Unfortunately, the replacement part failed in a short time. Long story short, they came back out and spent time on two different days correcting the problem and replacing the part. It really was just one of those odd-ball everything goes wrong kind of malfunction, although it was no fault of the company. In the end, Mission Plumbing sent me an invoice with a zero balance. It was quite the headache for them, but they honored the warranty to the max even though it cost several man-hours. I will definitely use them for future needs.

Michael Shultz was my repair tech and did an excellent job. Very nice, professional, quick, courteous - overall good guy and good tech. The problem came with the repair. I only needed a part that cost $8.10 at Home Depot (can get it online for $10-$15) and was charged $335 - the part is a dual capacitor for the compressor. However, I was unaware at the time of just how large the margin was for that part. I understand making money, but that is just theft. My guess is that their actual acquisition cost is probably less than $5 (given HD is selling it for $8). I had them remove the part (was still charged the $89 visit and $60 for the diagnostic). Just beware of what they are doing before they do it - replacing a capacitor is very easy - not worth $425.

I'd give them an "A" overall. I'd probably use them again even though I don't want to pay the price. They were the ones that installed the furnace and a/c into this house, so that is why I used them.

The gentlemen from Mission were professional, showed up on time, communicated with me the entire time and got the work done in the amount of time they said it would take. The gentleman who gave me the original estimate came by at the end of the day to ensure everything was completed correctly. The cost was higher than other bids I received, but they were concerned about doing things the right way instead of the easiest or cheapest way which was reflected in the initial estimate. I would definitely use them again!

Bo and Bryan arrived promptly at 8:00am to install my new furnace. They removed the 15 year old furnace and set the new one in place. It was slightly smaller than the old furnace so they had to fabricate a new transition between the cooling coil casing and the furnace. They completed the wiring including the control wiring for the humidifier. They programed the controls and test fired the furnace. They were finished about noon. They thoroughly cleaned the area. The installation looks great. Both Bo and Bryan were very friendly and cooperative with how I wanted the installation completed. I will definitely use Mission Plumbing heating & Cooling for my future HVAC services. I am extremely satisfied with the job they provided.

The guys at Mission were fantastic! The owner was personally involved in making sure our HVAC was working as effectively and efficiently as possible... this included him climbing a ladder in about 15 locations to adjust our louvers and vents PRIOR to his team coming in for the complete service call. I made sure our entire organization had Missions contact info for servicing their homes too. Highly recommend Steve and his team!
