Overall a very good experience for full house repaint plus pergola staining project. Coby was easy to work with and we were in regular communications throughout the job. Adrian did an excellent job on the prep and painting and they addressed all of my concerns as the job progressed. Added scope items were handled fairly. Very pleased with the end results!

Residential Solutions painted our house, and repaired significant wood rot, in July of 2018 and did a great job. I chose Residential Solutions after reading reviews and receiving a very competitive bid from them. Craig communicated with me before and throughout the project so that I knew exactly what the schedule would be. The crew was polite, professional and showed up to the house exactly when they said they would. After completion, I went over the house with a fine toothed comb and found some minor things that were missed. Craig got the crew back out within two days and fixed everything perfectly. I would definitely recommend this company.

Craig provided a detailed estimate for repair of wood rot and painting of the house that was very competitive. Communicated regularly on timeline and progress of project as we worked around the weather issues. The prep work;pressure washing, woodrot repair, caulking, taping; was excellent and only exceeded by the quality and detail of the painting. Will certainly use again when the need arises

Residential Solutions did a great job painting our house. Craig was very professional and kept in touch frequently throughout the job. His painters were very friendly as well and spoke to me about a few items throughout the job to keep me informed. Any punch list items after our walk through were followed up with very promptly and saw through to completion. Not well. We had used the company before and had a good result. This time, the stain peeled w/in 3 days of application. He came back to correct that problem areas and it peeled again. We stayed off of the deck for 3 days after each service. At that time, he said that he didn't know why it was peeling and offered no solution. The last email I received said "I have done nothing but offer you professional service and quick response. I haven't had to do this much for anybody else. I am tired of hearing about it. We will wait until spring and recoat it because we are not coming back more then once". He was paid in full for his services.

I would hire them over and over. Craig's crew was so diligent and professional. They had us review any wood rot before they replaced it, and we knew we had a lot and they took care of all of it. Caulked everything like crazy. Made sure everything was clean and scraped before they began priming and rep for painting. Craig came by regularly to check his crew, but they really didn't need it. What great guys. Our house looks fantastic now. Honest, reliable and professional.

This was our first experience of hiring a painting company and when we had Craig come out to give us a bid, we instantly liked him. He was professional and very detailed on what needed to be done. He also made us feel comfortable. After 4 other bids, we hired Residential Solutions. Price, professionalism, and how Craig represented his company. Very nice guy! His painting crew were respectful and worked together like a well oiled machine. Communication was done throughout the entire job. Such a dependable group of guys! We would highly recommend them to anyone.

Went very well. Pricing was very competitive, just slightly higher than others, hence the B rating on price. Did a very good job communicating throughout the process. The B rating on punctuality is a bit aggressive. Had to reschedule the start date and a punch list date. However, the communication on the need to reschedule was always good and with my approval. Was very helpful in making sure we didn't make bad color choices. The repair work performed, while minor, exceeded my expectations. They were very efficient; completed repairs and painting (minus two items on punch list) in one day. Yard was left in good shape; no damage to landscape or fences; no significant over spray. I am recommending to neighbors and will definitely give them a call on future painting projects.

Great experience - the work was done well & within the promised time frame. Craig was great about communicating & keeping us informed of scheduling. We've used Residential Solutions for several interior & exterior painting projects as well & are very pleased with their work.

Fast sloppy job. At least half of the house needs repainting; numerous runs, paint was thinned too much for one coat of spray to cover. It is all blotchy. Complained to the contractor and was told they were professionals and they didn't do work like this. He told me that he could not understand what happened. Agreed to come back and did sand some of the runs. At this point I am totally disappointed and dissatisfied with the overall outcome.

Had a fabulous experience. Craig responded quickly and the team showed up as promised. Work was done quickly and the team kept the yard and our home clean. They cleaned up all supplies and left us the left over materials. Great experience.

Craig's crew (led by Adrian) was very punctual and professional. They pressure washed, re-caulked, and painted our entire exterior. Overall, our house looks brand new. The attention to detail in the painting was truly exceptional. Craig's regular updates kept us aware of what was happening and when. I will definitely use these guys again!

I should start out by saying I am not an easy customer, i know how to do a lot of construction building and repairs myself so know what needs to be done and how to do it correctly and I tend to breathe down contractors necks and look over their shoulders while they work to make sure its being done right. That being said, I hired Residential Solutions to do fairly extensive wood rot repair on my home and then painting of the exterior. Craig showed up on time for the estimate and provided a detailed estimate in a timely manner. I was wanting to get multiple estimates and Craig was completely understanding of this and patient while i got 4-5 more estimates. I was wanting to get the work done ASAP and advised Craig of this and when another job was delayed he let me know and I decided to go with him and the work started that next Monday. Craig was on site each morning. The first day of construction we did another walk around to make sure we were on the same page with his crew leader. The work took about 3 days and a few issues came up but each time Craig was able to get the issue resolved timely. I had some disagreements with the crew leader regarding a piece of flashing and some trim boards which is the only reason for a B on professionalism but Craig again was able to get everything taken care of. Had another minor issue with some touch ups that needed to be done so I called Craig and he had it resolved in an hour. Due to some additional needed repairs not visible during the initial estimate the price increased and Craig was very flexible about working with me on the additional costs to make sure I felt it was fair. Craig was great to deal with and I will definitely be hiring them again for any future repair needs. Craig is the type of contractor you can trust to follow through on his promises and his guarantee and he will make sure you are satisfied with the work once done. Great company to deal with.

Started out ok and then turned disappointing. Was going to go with another company but they were overbooked, Res. Solutions was second choice. Price was ok. Workers were courteous but did smoke on my property, found a few butts and smelled it which I didn't appreciate it but just let it go. Was asked to write a check before we even did a final walk though, there were a few issues and I told him I would rather pay once the issues were resolved. Conversation turned heated. I would have appreciated the opportunity to be a satisfied customer before being asked for payment and then being argued with. A couple weeks later, had bubbling paint. Was told that he would fix it but not liable if it happens again. So much for supposed 5 yr warranty. Overall job was fine, house looks good but wouldn't want to deal with them again.

I didn't use their service due their price (they cost twice as much as the contractor I eventually went with) and the fact that they couldn't start my job for at least a month. I almost got the impression they didn't want my business. I found a local contractor who is actually a school teacher who does home repairs and services on the side. Name of his company is "Another Hand." This man did a great job and charged a very reasonable price. I found him through a local senior citizen publication called "Best of Times". I really didn't need to use Angie's List at all.

The overall experience was really a quality one, although it did end up being more expensive than we originally expected (this was due to discovery of additional deterioration of siding that was not initially visible during the original quote, not due to an up-charge) The crew, led by Adrian, did an excellent job of repairing our siding and wood root issues, and an even better job with the painting on our two story home. After a couple days, we noticed some cracks in the paint running between the separate sheets of siding, so we called Residential Solutions, and they came out to look at it, and fixed the issue to the best of their ability, both to our satisfaction and at no extra charge.

Short Version: Tile was installed incorrectly, was very poorly done and specific requests to install metal trim were ignored. When I requested him to fix the poor work his installer performed, he said he would do the work to replace it but would not pay for the tile replacement and subsequently pulled his crew off the job. They also spilled primer in the mulch of a tree in my yard, poisoning the tree and denied it was his fault. Would never use this contractor again. Long Version: We hired Residential Solutions to do work on our fireplace. It was currently stained and we wanted it painted white to match the trim and to have the current tile removed and replaced with tile we had purchased. Residential Solutions was not the lowest bid, but we went with them based on their availability to do the job. The quote for the job included everything except the tile and grout, which we had purchased on our own. Leading up to the job Craig had kept us in the loop on when he thought he'd be able to do the job; he wasn't able to give us a definitive date more than a week or so out. When they started the job, their plan was to tear out the tile, do a coat of primer, install the tile and grout, and then put a finishing coat or two of paint on. The tear out and primer portions went fine, where we ran into issues is when they did the tile installation. The tile we had purchased was 1"x4" mesh backed travertine stone tile arranged in a herringbone pattern. Given that this was a fireplace and a focal point of the room, we wanted something that looked really good, thus going with a herringbone pattern. When the installer went to do the installation of the tile, he rotated every other horizontal tile 180 degrees, breaking the herringbone pattern. I have no idea why he did this, and he never explained why he decided to install it this way. All he had to do was take each tile out of the box and install them next to each other, but for some reason he wanted to do it differently. The end result is that we had herringbone tile not installed in a herringbone pattern. We had also specifically asked them to install a piece of metal trim around the firebox. This sits under the tile and wraps around the edge giving a clean line around the firebox instead of rough edges of tile or a line of grout. His installer instead decided he wasn't going to do that, laid all the tile without the edging installed and said he was going to edge around the firebox with just a line of grout smoothed with his finger. We specifically asked for this to be installed and the installer flat out didn't do it. There were a few other issues with the tile installation. We had several boxes of tile, and his installer didn't pull from various boxes, he pulled from each box in order. This had the side effect of one half of the tile surround with mostly solid tile and the other half with mixed tone tile. Any good tile installer would pull from various boxes so that you don't end up with the same tiles installed close together. His installer also told us he was going to install 1/4 round edging on the edges of the tile because he didn't want to cut smaller pieces. We did not have 1/4 round there before, and this was a clear case of short cutting on the job. The tile installation towards the end was very sloppy as well, with several tiles literally butted up against each other and not gapped properly for grout. Finally, he didn't start the tile layout from the top center of the fireplace, instead starting from one of the corners. This left an uneven pattern on either end. If these had been the only issues with the tile, I probably could have let it be. But the fact that the basic requirement of a herringbone pattern was not done correctly, I wanted them to fix it and do it right. When I brought the issue of the pattern up with Craig, he stated that we didn't specifically tell him that we wanted out tile installed in a particular way and that we had approved the work his installer had done (which was untrue). There is only one way to install herringbone tile.The tile is already in a herringbone pattern on the mesh, all you have to do is continue the pattern that is already on there by installing each tile next in the same position. He stated he wasn't a "herringbone expert" and that he couldn't see what the big deal was. He also questioned whether or not we told them about the trim piece, and we had specifically told Craig the week before as well as the installer the day before; the piece was sitting unused in the room, I have no idea why he didn't use it. After I demonstrated to Craig what his installer had done wrong (and his continued assertion that he wasn't a "herringbone expert") he agreed to do the work to fix the poor installation. At this point I asked him if he wanted to get the tile himself or if he wanted to reimburse me. He then stated that he wasn't going to pay for the tile, and pulled his crew off the job, leaving me with a half completed job and out $600 worth of tile. I was floored at the lack of customer service and willingness to fix their botched installation. On top of this, about a week after we noticed that an autumn blaze maple tree in our front yard had completely turned red, which is not normal in the end of July. I found that the dirt/mulch under the tree looked like it had been scuffed up, and could see traces of paint in the mulch, as well as a dead spot in the grass nearby. Digging under the mulch I found probably a pint of primer spilled in it. Instead of telling us that they had spilled primer in the mulch allowing us to clean it up (or cleaning it up themselves) they decided to bury it in the dirt and mulch, poisoning the tree. We're not sure if it will come back or not. When I brought this up with Craig via email, he stated they only spilled a few drops and that the issue with the tree was simply coincidental. It was not. They also killed several spots of grass in the lawn from spilling paint and primer. Craig's response here will be something to the effect of "it will state exactly how you act in front of your family and the neighbors running out of your house screaming like a crazy person" as that's what he responded when I informed him my review would include what he did to the tree. Our discussion up to the point of him pulling his crew out was cordial. Once he pulled his crew off the job I was ****** and let him know as much. No payment for services was made, he pulled his crew out and the work was not completed. I ended up hiring one of the other bidders to fix the work that Residential Solutions botched. I should have looked elsewhere in the first place.
