About us

Our family business was started by my father in 1949 & I worked in it helping my father from a young age taking time out to get my degree in mechanical engineering from K-State. We sell product from only the best manufacturers like Kohler Plumbing Fixtures, Lennox heating & cooling equipment, Honeywell Controls, A.O. Smith Water Heaters, Insinkerator Garbage Disposer & so on. We have a large Kohler Registered Plumbing Fixture Showroom where you can pick out fixtures for our own employees to install in your home. We can remodel your bath or kitchen from start to finish using our own employees to do all of the work or repair your furnace or air conditioner, clean a drain, dig up your sewer & all with our own employees...Not subcontractors...Try us...You'll like us. Services we offer

We do plumbing, heating & air conditioning repairs in homes and businesses & replacement of equipment when it no longer makes sense to repair it. We have a very nice large Kohler Registered Kitchen & Bath Remodeling Showroom near 87th & I-35 with one section devoted entirely to handicap accesibility products for bathrooms. Our own employees do the entire remodeling project from start to finish once you pick out fixtures in our showroom.

[Member Name Removed], we would like to know more why you believe your $39 furnace tune was fraud or a scam. I do see in the notes that one cell on your heat exchanger is cracked. This is a very serious issue and if you don't believe us, we encourage you to do your own research about cracked heat exchangers.

Description of Work: Installed new water heater. Only problem was that the water heater was not the one I had requested. I wanted a certain two step up on efficiency, but he only went up one step in efficiency. He charged me the correct price for the one he installed. Have had no problems with the work or the heater to date.

The work was excellent and took the time to explain the show me the parts. There was a $59 charge to come out that I expected to be deducted from the work done. The work done was $200, but the charge it was $260

Fine. I didn't have the time to go to the property to inspect/view myself, and Dick Ray never disappoints me.
Description of Work: tenant in rental house stated he had foul-smelling water coming out of kitchen faucet. Phoned the wonderful Dick Ray, who immediately sent worker to the home to check the situation. Tests were done, determined the foul smell was actually coming from the drain, not faucet. Now, this may seem silly to some of you, however, rental properties can be difficult to manage, and foul water can be a serious problem if you are trying to keep units rented. Dick always sends reliable, knowledgeable, professionals that can be trusted to get to the root of problems, and fixed in the best possible ways.

I wish everyone was as conscientious as the owner Dick Ray, who, by the way, is a Master Plumber. Staff is friendly, and knowledgable.
Description of Work: Frigid weather with even colder temperatures on the way. I just KNEW I'd have trouble finding an available heating provider to get the furnace back up and running. However, Shawnee Mission Heating came to the rescue! They have done jobs for me in the past, and they never let me down. They were prompt, courteous, professional! The worker arrived on time, quickly went about his work of fixing a capacitor problem with the motor. We conversed about the motor, and I elected, without any pressure, to replace the motor. He quickly contacted a supplier to put a "hold" on the motor, and is replacing the motor as we speak. EXCELLENT.

They maintain my air conditioning and furnace, and they are excellent. He's a real engineer. They are all well trained. He is outstanding. They charge professional prices but its worth Very thorough.

The workmanship is first rate. Highest quality craftsman. They are expensive but they are very good. They are a pleasure to work with.

THE QUALITY OF WORK WAS ASTOUNDING. THE TECHNICIAN WAS A REAL CRAFTSMAN AND LEFT THE WORK AREA TIDY AND NEAT AT THE END OF EACH DAY. THEY DID GREAT WORK AND I'D DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN FOR WORK THAT REQUIRES TOP NOTCH QUALITY.
