Bock's Steam Star

They are fantastic. I have been using them for years. I have them out every couple of months to do something different. The last time they came out they did a couple of rooms, stairs and I don’t really recall what they did because they are here a lot. I have seven animals, so I am constantly having my carpets cleaned. On an average cleaning, I spend between $200 and $300 for stain removal and allover cleaning. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future; in fact, I wouldn’t use anyone but them.

I have used Bock on two of my homes. One of the homes is a rental. I had a renter that trashed the carpet in the house. I thought I would have to replace the carpet, but since it was only a year old, I thought I would try to have it cleaned. The cleaning technicians that came out were also unsure if the carpet could be cleaned / salvaged. Bock did an AMAZING job!!!!! The filth came right out of the carpet...it was like brand new carpet. I will continue to use them for my properties in Kansas City.

Alex and Josh were really good. We have four dogs so they took the time to really evaluate the areas to be cleaned and thoroughly went over all the areas with their "special" light to see where there may have been a few accidents we weren't aware of. They then pretreated and went about the cleaning. Throughout the process they always explained what they were doing and why. They were done in about two hours and explained next steps regarding drying, when we could put furniture back, etc. Overall they were very friendly, professional, and hard working. A pleasure to meet young men like this that truly enjoy and care about their work. Would highly recommend. And the carpets looked great too.

I was very impressed with Bock Steam Star from the moment I spoke with the office manager until they finished the carpet cleaning process. They were efficient, professional, and understanding, listening to my concerns about a wood floor we had just refinished and took great care to put down tarps so they would not damage the refinished floor. They took their time, knowing that the previous owners had cats, and that we would be bringing in our cats and understanding how cats are very territorial in establishing their areas. They made sure there had been no cat spraying and to clean the carpets extremely well. They also were willing to work around the house cleaners that were conducting a pre-move in cleaning without complaints and understanding that this was very important to get the carpets cleaned on this day to give time for the carpets to dry completely. After completing the service, they told me about a few spots that they simply could not remove, and wanted to make sure that I understood they did everything they could to eliminate the spots (which they were able to get most of the discoloration out anyway). I just can't say enough about their services. I would highly recommend this company anyone that needs to have their carpet cleaned.

They called to tell me they were on their way and arrived on time. Both gentlemen were very professional and efficient. I would recommend to other.

They company arrived at our house on time. They assessed the couch and recommended that they take the cushions and loose pillows in to their plant to deep clean and they cleaned the rest of the couch a the house. They were able to get the cat urine stains out and the urine smell out of the cushions.

Either the cleaners didn't explain what types of furniture would be moved for cleaning or we had a misunderstanding. I understood that the workers would not move the huge sectional in my living room, but I did not realize that meant that they wouldn't move any piece of upholstered furniture that was in their way. This is the same furniture that I move every time I vacuum (i.e. not heavy). Then to top it off, they left us a nasty surprise in the toilet. Gross. Will not use this company again.

It has been about two years since we last had our carpets cleaned since we took on two large scale remodeling jobs in the interim. Our carpets badly needed cleaning, and we chose Bock's since we had previously used them. It was easy to book an appointment that fit our schedule. Prior to the day of cleaning, we received a reminder email and a follow-up call. On the day of the cleaning, we were called frequently to apprise us of how the day was proceeding for their men who were to do our work. We appreciated being kept informed. Two courteous young men arrived on time. The lead technician looked over the rooms and gave us an estimate of the cost which we felt was very reasonable. We agreed to the estimate, and they quickly and efficiently proceed to work. We thought that they took care of our furnishings and did not damage any woodwork. The carpets look fabulous! We are very pleased with Bock's Steam Star and will use them again.

The 2 man team arrived on time and got right to work. They listened to my requests and were able to answer questions very quickly. I needed to replace a threshold that transitioned from carpet to tile, and they called in for a part which was delivered by a manager while the team continued working. The work was done in a short period of time and was right on the quote. A couple of days later, after the carpet dried, I noticed a stain that had previously been unnoticeable. Brock's Steam Star called back to check to see if I was satisfied with the work that was done. I mentioned the stain that had appeared, and they immediately sent someone out to retreat the area. My real estate agent was quite pleased with the work done.

One of the company's owners arrived promptly to walk through the carpeted areas to provide an estimate. No high pressure sales pitch. The actual cleaning crew showed up promptly and got right to work, first vacuuming then steam cleaning the carpets. Overall, we were very pleased with the results, especially the bedroom, the hallways and steps. (Hint: Don't buy very light colored frieze carpeting for a high traffic family room, especially if you have two puppies who sometimes forget that carpeting is not meant to be used as a face towel after eating or drinking water. No amount of spot treating or passes of a steam cleaner over the carpet will ever make it look brand new.)

I researched companies first on Angie's list and selected Bock's Steam Star. I called to make an appointment for an estimate and was given the choice of one of the owners or the cleaning team giving me one prior to the job beginning. I requested the owner, Brian Bock, come out for the estimate. He responded quickly, was thorough in his assessment of my needs and answered all my questions. I asked that a couple of area rugs and some upholstery be included in my quote however, stated I wasn't positive that I would have them cleaned at that time. I was told to call the office to schedule my appointment if I accepted the estimate and make any changes with the office on my final decisions on items/areas to be cleaned. I did this the same day and scheduled the work to be done 7 days later. I did not choose to clean my area rugs ( because I was replacing them soon) but I did elect to have the two upholstered chairs cleaned in addition to the carpet. The cleaning team (two men) arrived as promised. They were very punctual, courteous, and professional in appearance, and introduced themselves by name before entering my home. They asked to do a walk through with me so that everyone was in agreement on what was expected before the work began. They told me the job would take approximately two hours and it was finished right on time! I was so pleased with the results I decided to call the office and tell them that everything exceeded my expectations. I was told they usually do a follow up call - I just beat them to it!. I told them I did not get a copy of my receipt from the cleaning team upon completion of the job but it wasn't really necessary at that point. I was looking for a company that was trade certified, knowledgeable and reputable - not the whole house $99 special. I got that and more with Bock's. I will call them for service again and would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Everything went great with this company in the past. I recently called them to have them come back out and clean my carpets. Since the last time I have used them they stopped offering the service we used and offered to do another one that was double the price. I will probably not use this company again.

Everything went great. They were very efficient and thorough. The carpeting really looked good when they were done. I would use this company again.

Spoke with the main office about getting a quote to have a small 1 bedroom condo steam cleaned. I was called back by one of the owners, and told him how big the condo was and what was involved. He told me that he was familiar with condo complex and told me it would be $122 dollars. The appointment was set and I met with the cleaning crew. They came over and told me it was going to be $178. I told them I was quoted by the owner at $122 and they told me they knew nothing about it. I was referred to them by a friend. I did not think they would pull a bait and switch on me. I basically wasted lots of time on a company that does not stand by their quote.

The company requires an on site visit for an estimate. We were a bit surprised they needed to see the carpet for an estimate. All other service providers gave us telephone estimates. The technican was on time...and it took about 3 minutes for him to quote a price twice as high as anyone else we took bids from. In fairness we made sure it was for equal service (extraction vs. chemical). He provided us with a color sales brochure on their process and written quote. The technician/owner spent most of the time bragging about the education and years of experience of their technican's - which appeared to be an effort to explain away the cost differential. The service truck was a newer model mobile advertisement of the business with extensive signage and the estimator came in company uniform. While we are confident Bock's would do a good job (based on the credible reviews) we felt we would rather give the business to someone for a lower price who could do equal quality work without the overhead of all the company ammenities. We did hire a professional in the industry with equal years of experience who completed the work for 1/2 the price and did an excellent job in a short amount of time.

We use them once a year. We usually have them come out during spring. They have always been punctual. They get the job done super quickly. We have recommended them to other people. We have not compared their price to anyone.

They did a great job. I would recommend them to others.

Nothing more to tell. I had used them in the past at another house, and I would probably call them again when I need carpet cleaning.

Bock's Steam Star Carpet Cleaning and Repair did an absolutely fantastic job on my carpeting! I really thought my carpeting was beyond help and that my best option was to just take up the old and put down new, but I thought I would check Angie's List top providers for cleaning and repair before I undertook that expense. I'm glad I did. I called Bock for an estimate and Brian Bock, the owner of the company, came out to talk to me. Brian was very knowledgable and professional and explained Bock's processes in detail. My carpeting is over ten years old, and I have a dog (since puppyhood). In addition to the age and wear and tear, the carpet in every room had stretched and buckled very badly. It looked pretty awful. After talking to Brian, I decided to give Bock a try. On the appointed day, Bock specialists Steven and Michael arrived promptly on time. They were courteous and professional, answered all my questions completely, and completed the job within four hours as promised. I could not believe the transformation. I should get at least another 5 years of life out of the carpeting! A friend of mine remarked that it looked brand new. I couldn't be happier with Bock - they truly are specialists in textile care. Their services are worth every penny and I plan to engage them regularly in the future.

It was OK. They were good about coming, picking up the rugs and bringing them back on time.

Owner Brian came out to give us an estimate. He was very professional and spent quite a bit of time explaining what they would and how it would be different from other companies. The cleaning team was on time and performed the worked as described. They were efficient and did a thorough cleaning. We stayed off the the carpet for 24 hours. Everything dried up wonderfully. We feel confident that the carpet was cleaned properly.

As always, Bock's did a great job. This is a highly professional company. They always do a wonderful job, completely dependable, and the carpet looks brand new. I can't imagine any other company having the kind of knowledgeable technicians that Bock's has. This is the company to get if you want only the best. I've referred them often to my friends, and got $50 off this time for referrals. But what brings me back is high quality of their personnel.

When they showed up, they were on time and professional. We walked through the house, I showed them what I needed done. They gave me very upfront pricing, based on the number of rooms, not the square footage. The quote was far lower than I expected. After completing the work, We walked back through and they pointed out some spots that wouldn't come out of the carpet. We talked about their guarantee, I paid and they left.

Bock responded immediately to my call and we scheduled a date and four hour window of time for the estimate, and cleaning if the estimate was accepted. I loved that the two technicians called at the early part of the window of time and arrived promptly thereafter!! They gave me several written estimates on power washing that I had not requested over the phone and that work may be done in the future. But the estimate on the two sofas I accepted and they went to work immediately on the sofas. They were very professional and I had spots and water marks that we had discussed prior to their cleaning. They really worked long and h****** getting the sofas as clean as could possibly be expected for ten year old light colored sofas! They even cleaned one and had me look at it to see if I was satisfied with how it looked before proceeding with the second sofa. The sofas look very nice and I am pleased with the hard work they put in on my sofas!!!!

We had a leak and some water had reached under the carpeting in our basement. They did the best job that they could with that. It didn't completely erase the spots, but they gave a very thorough explanation of why. They also removed some pet stains. They put little plastic under the furniture so that it wouldn't get wet and stain the carpeting that they had just cleaned. They also protected the flooring. They did a very good job overall. The carpet and upholstery looks great. The price was a little higher than I expected, but it was the first time that I was using such a service. They are a locally owned company. We had an appointment scheduled, and then we had to reschedule it. It was during the holidays, so they were experiencing a pretty high volume.
