+ 0 moreThe carpet was really stained from our dog and they got all the stains out. They carpet looked really, really good. They were really fast and they didn’t try to add on extra stuff that cost more money. It was a father and son team. It was a pleasant experience. They said the carpet would take 6 hours to dry and that’s about what it took.
Description of Work: I used Voorhies Cleaning Systems for carpet cleaning and they also anchored the carpet on the stairs.

He mentioned some concern about being able to move sofa bed to clean underneath, as sofa beds often have parts that hang closely to the floor, and could cause rust marks on damp carpeting. When pressed he did find a way to use double blocks to raise the couch. Everything else was fine with one exception. After he had left, I noticed that he had not moved an old Singer treadle sewing machine to clean the carpet where it sits. Had I known it was a problem, I could have moved it-it is on rollers. Not sure why he did not move it?

+ 0 moreJeff called me back quickly and gave me an estimate over the phone. We scheduled the work for the next week. He arrived promptly and worked professionally along with his son . He explained everything before he went to work and even offered to leave the fan overnight so that the rugs would dry faster. (I declined) Even the stains that he advised me might not come out came out and the carpet looks great.
Description of Work: Had them clean the carpets in family room, stairs, master bedroom, sitting room and bath. They also cleaned a couple of rugs.

A friend told me Jeff could save it so I took a chance and gave him a call. I was sure glad I did! He made it look almost new and saved me a bunch of money.
Description of Work: He moved the furniture, cleaned the carpet, moved the furniture back and set up a powerful fan to dry it. He came back to pick up the fan the next day. That was great since I leave everything to the last minute.

+ -1 moreWe've lived at this house for 3 years and never cleaned the carpets and we're pretty sure the people before us hadn't ever done it either. We have 2 dogs who come in from outside through our kitchen into the dining room so the carpet there was a mess. After the cleaning, it looks GREAT! And before Jeff left he pointed out the spots he had to hit "extra hard" and said if they didn't dry well to give him a call. We had one small area around our front door that still had some stains and Jeff came back and cleaned it again at no charge. He was very polite, very fast and even came back quickly the 2nd time even though he wasn't getting paid. We have a new baby so I plan to get the carpets cleaned more often as he starts crawling/walking and I will definitely use Voorhies again. I'll be sure to call Jeff when we're ready to clean the carpets in our rental house too!
Description of Work: Jeff and his son cleaned our main living areas (living room, dining room, approx 20 stairs and a hallway) and they did a fantastic job.

+ -1 moreHe was on time, he fully explained what kind of carpet we had and some of the potential areas that may not turn out as good as with another type of carpet. He was much more informative about the carpet we had than the actual carpet salesperson. We have had the carpet for 4 years and this is the first time we've had it cleaned. I had or one larger area that I was worried about and he actually worked on it and got it cleaned. He was good at explaining how long before the carpet would be dry and told me to call if we had any issues or questions. He did a great job at a great price and was careful with our furniture. He is the owner and he really takes pride in doing a great job for the customer. I can't think of anything he could do that would have made my experience any better. Please give him a try, you won't be sorry.

+ -1 moreWe comtaacted Jeff about a week prior to the date he did the work. He was prompt in coming to give an estimate. Our job was small so we paid his minimum charge amount. We were prepaing to have the LR, FR and kitchen painted the week of 3-16 so wanted him to come after the painting was done but in time for the carpet to be completely dry before new furniture was delivered. He was prompt for the appointment and did a great job on the carpet. We have a tempermental Daschund - anyone who has one knows they cannot be depended upon to observe the potty rules so there were some spots that we had attempted to clean with Resolve, etc. This had yellowed the carpet and Jeff was honest when he stated he would not be able to completely remove the yellowing. However, it did look much better after he finished. The carpet is far from new but we seldom use the LR so didn't want to recarpet or refinish the hardwood underneath at the present time. Jeff made it look so much better that I think we can postpone pulling it up for another couple of years. I was very pleased with his work and would recommend him.

+ 0 moreWorking with Voorhies Cleaning Systems is a pleasure. Jeff is very careful inside the house, placing corner and floor guards throughout the work area. He has even made me aware of available discount coupons via Angie's List. I am comfortable recommending him to others.
Description of Work: Although the only date I recall was 11/22/2011, Jeff Voorhies has been to our home on at least three occasions to clean the carpet. We had had our carpet cleaned several times before finding Voorhies Cleaning Systems, but had never been really satisfied. One of our two Basset Hounds had chewed through a black Sharpie type pen, then after walking through the puddle of ink decided to proceed up the carpeted stairs and into the carpeted bedroom. I found Jeff Voorhies on Angies list. He was in the neighborhood working, and was able to stop by the house within a hour of our phone contact. He inspected the carpet staining damage and then presented a realistic plan for treatment. The carpet looked vastly improved after his initial cleaning, and we've had him back several times since. When having some work done in the basement, the crew had to open up a heating duct to gain access to their work area. I was shocked by the amount of dust and pet hair in the duct. I called Voorhies Cleaning Systems to clean the entire duct system. They use a powerful vacuum system that utilizes a clear duct cover. Through the clear duct cover, you can actually see the amount of material being pulled from the system.
