Have used Overhead Door in other homes and just like in the past they have provided excellent product and services. Our technician this time was Kasey Burt and he was extremely professional, punctual and expedient. Not only did Kasey quickly fix the broken spring, but Overhead offers a good discount to replace the other spring on the door so that both springs have the same service life and warranty. Kasey also did a complete inspection and lubrication of both the door with the broken spring as well as our other door for the price of the spring repair. Overhead Door Company of Kansas City is a solid company that takes pride in its work and in their employees. Highly recommend any home or business owner to consider them in the future.

It was just a short visit. They just stayed for about 20 to 30 minutes. He didn’t blow me away or anything but it was okay. He didn’t do a bad job. He just did like an average technician would do and did his job and left. I think he was punctual.

Perfect. Very personable installer who really knew his stuff. Had to get creative because the space to install the rail wasn't long enough. He knew how to turn the motor to gain the extra few inches to make it fit perfectly. Instructed me how to use the devices, re-program if I need to. Excellent service!

I contacted the office, and scheduled a service visit. The office was very responsive, and gave me a detailed flat fee list for services I might need, plus what needed additional material or labor charges. It was refreshing to know approximately how much this was all going to cost. Jeffrey called before arriving. He arrived well within the window originally scheduled. He was polite, courteous and professional. He assessed the garage door, did not try to bamboozle me into buying more or unneeded services, and promptly installed the new cable. He also oiled and checked to make sure the automatic garage door opener was reattached and working properly. Cost was completely in the price range given by the office. Payment was easy and no fuss. Based on this service, I would definitely recommend this company to others and would definitely use them again.

I had a new garage door and opener installed. The new door/opener are whisper-quiet, energy-efficient, and look great. The installers arrived right on time the day of installation, and finished up around 6 hours later. They removed the old door and opener, and installed new trim around the outside as well as the new door and opener. They also took quite a bit of time explaining to me the features of the new door, and even programmed my car to work with the new opener. I couldn't be happier.

They were prompt and honest, if a bit pricey. We have used them in the past, but opted to go with another provider this time due to price.

It turned out okay. I have to call them back to get one of the seals adjusted right.

It has not been recently. It was just after we moved in.

They charged me $75 to come out and open my garage door and reprogram my remote, so no, I wasn't very happy. They didn't do any work. I change the batteries and then I couldn't reprogram it to get it to open the garage door, so I called them and they sent a guy out, and he repgrammed it so I can open it with the remote, and then he charged me $75 for the trip.

Unfortunately, due to the holiday weekend when I contacted/scheduled the service online I was not provided price quote, nor was I provided the price prior to the completion of service (shame on me). The technician was polite, and quick getting out in under an hour. I will point out that after a few emails with their customer service (very poor with following up on my request for an itemized invoice) I was informed that their normal hourly rate is $105/hr with 20 minute increments. Unfortunately, those hourly rates do not apply to their spring replacements because my labor charge was about $180 for approximately 50 minutes of work, because they do a "flat rate" for spring replacements. So, apparently they only charge their normal hourly rate if it isn't something they know is critical to the customer.

Daren M was the technician that came out. He was excellent. He assessed the damaged opener and looked at the age. He suggested it would be a much better deal if I replaced it, and because the unit was almost 20 years old it was living on borrowed time anyway. He was able to come back latter in the afternoon and install the new system. In the mean time I looked at Angie's list and there was a 5% coupon. He took it gladly, even after I had paid the deposit. When we tried to but a light bulb into the system it was a faulty bulb, and blew the circuit board. He took the time to replace the whole circuit board. And included it under the warranty. I thought it was a little expensive, but you get what you pay for and this service was lobster and grade A steak!

Explained problems and desired drive operation. Drive system was very noisy and wanted it replaced if it couldn't be quieted. Installer suggested that we replace springs and then recondition the screw drive system before installing a much more expensive belt drive solution to the noise problem. Installer serviced the system and it is quieter than it was when it was new! Quite a bit of cost savings and I was very satisfied with the honesty of Overhead Door personnel.

Jim Titnus came out and replaced the framing that was knocked off and rebuilt the whole wall. He then rebuilt the wall frame, attached new side and top moldings and he also attached a new bottom rubber on both doors. He did a great job answering all our questions and cleaned up the garage completely when finished. Should the need arise we would definitely use them again.

It went well. It still works and I would recommend them. The person that came out was nice.

It was great. Phil was really nice, professional, and fast. Our garage door is like new. We will definitively use again. They were able to fit me in within a few hours because I couldn't get my car out.

Overhead Door Company of Kansas City was great to deal with. Communication was clear and prompt, making the appointment set up very easy. Kirk called before he came to let me know he was on his way. He was professional and thorough. The bill was slightly under the quote (that's always a pleasant surprise!) If we need more garage door work done, we will call this company back for sure!

The service was excellent. The workers are excellent. They showed up when they said they would. It took a couple of hours for two guys to fix. I would recommend them to my friends.

I've used them in the past. They're really good. You need to discuss the cost before you do the work because that's important.

We initially called Overhead Door Company because one of our garage doors stopped functioning. They offered appointment times over a 4-hour block and we selected an early evening time slot. However, we called the next day (day of the appointment) to move up to an earlier time slot. We spoke to one of the schedulers who agreed to change the appointment, but apparently our time change did not get entered. The serviceman ended up coming during our originally scheduled time period and told us that he didn't receive notice of any change. Regardless of the timing issue, we were very happy with our service. The serviceman worked quickly to diagnose our problem and was able to show us the issues with our garage door motor (self-installed by the previous home owner). He added up the cost that it would take to fix our current motor which ended up being just about the same if not more than replacing the whole system. As we recently purchased our home, he advised us that this replacement/repair could be potentially covered by our home warranty. We decided to wait on ordering a replacement until we could check our warranty. We ended up deciding to replace the motor and made a weekend appointment for the service (wasn't covered by our home warranty unfortunately). The same serviceman came out again and honored the previous quote he gave us for the replacement. He was timely and efficient with his work. He even programed our existing external garage key pad to work with the new system. We're very satisfied with the finished product and its improved quality compared to our previous system.

They were good. They came promptly and completed the job. Price wise, I did not compare prices because it was cold and I wanted my garage door to work.

Ernie performed an excellent installation in a difficult location. It required more labor than a normal installation but they charged the quoted price.

I first called the company that installed the doors when we built our house 14 years ago. They couldn't get to me for weeks....so I called Overhead Door who installed our overhead garage doors at our first home. They came the same day and the doors were completed repaired by dusk! The service man was very tidy, showed me the problems and explained exactly what he would do. He also was very clear about the charges so I had plenty of opportunity to decline if I wanted to. We were extremely pleased with the service and felt the price for two doors' service was fair.

The original date they were to come, they didn't confirm and later said it failed to get on the schedule. After getting it scheduled the next time they cam on time and complete all the service with no problems. everything works well and loks good.
