DW Elite Decks did an awesome job on the deck and patio. We are so happy with the outcome. Dan not only walked us through the whole design and build process, he also was very helpful in providing information and recommendations for maintaining our deck more many years to come. Dan's construction crew that came in were friendly, respectful and professional. Their clean up after the job was complete was immaculate.

We just finished our first project with Dan Milford of DW Elite Decks and couldn't have been more impressed by Dan and his crew. We contracted with Dan to build a sleeping porch addition to our house which extended the deck, provided a screened-in living space, plus extended the roofline. Dan was extremely professional and his crew (led by his field supervisor, Noah) were polite, highly skilled, cleaned up every day after themselves, and were fun to be around. Dan was very communicative with us, letting us know when they would show up and they arrived every day as promised. We were pretty impressed with how fast they worked, too, since our project was rather large but they completed in a little over a week. As with every project, small issues came up where we wanted corrections or changes, but with every request Dan responded positively, saying that he wanted customer satisfaction. We even made a few requests which were above and beyond what Dan contracted for, but he did them for us. I don't think we have ever had a more pleasant experience working with a contractor. I highly recommend DW Elite Decks for any deck, pergola, or screened-in porch project!

DW Elite was great to work with, Dan was very good with keeping me informed about scheduling and details. The work was done fast and the quality was really high - the deck is beautiful. I highly recommend them.

The construction is first class using the highest quality materials. They provide complete specs and a detailed drawing prior to beginning the work. You know exactly what you are getting and all about the construction methods and precisely what it will cost. If you decide to make spec changes, they update your spec detail , drawing, and pricing. They show up when they tell you and finish promptly. They pick up the trash every day. The owner communicates by email or phone so you know what to expect. Finally, the crew is professional and courteous. I would highly recommend DW Elite Decks. It's hard to find a company that is this detailed and precise. I talked to several, and after I did it was a no-brainer to go with them.

We love our new outdoor space! Dan was so patient and helpful as we went through our design process. We went through probably 4 designs/changes and he never got frustrated like some of the other companies that bid on our project. The crew was punctual and make significant progress every day. The quality of our project is top notch. Everyone who has seen it goes on and on about how nice it is. I would not hesitate to recommend DW Elite Decks to anyone!

I had a couple of other estimates on replacing the deck but the two companies did not impress me. I used Angie's List and found DW Elite Decks. Dan came out, looked at my sinking ship, gave me a quote and his ideas and we set a date. He suggested the materials that should be used and why and the black spindles for a longer lasting yet attractive product. He worked with me on a start date because of my prior commitments. The job was completed in October. He phoned me when the materials would arrive and phoned me again tell me the crew would possibly start on a Thursday afternoon if they finished up another job. Six people showed up Thursday afternoon and within an hour the old deck was gone. Came back Friday at 6:45 a.m and started laying out the deck, digging post foundations, mixed and poured the concrete for the post foundations and a pad for the bottom step and set up a basic form of the deck. They left in mid afternoon because there was nothing else to do because of the concrete. Monday Morning again at exactly 6:45 a.m. they came back and had the deck finished that morning. Every member of the crew had their own assigned tasks. They conversed with each other staying completely on task but always doing the job. Never saw anyone not at work which is amazing for 6 people each day. When they got done all i could say was WOW. It looked just like Dan said it would and i think it was way above what i could of got from anyone else. His bid was slightly less than the other two bids I received but I have no doubt I got much more than I expected. The job came with a 2 year warranty on workmanship and a 5 year warranty on wood rot. And I still look at the deck and say WOW.

A very positive experience from bid to completion. Dan Milford and his entire crew were very professional, polite, and neat. Work was timely completed, even though we had a few rain delays. Dan was in constant communication up to, and throughout the job. Extremely responsive to questions or concerns. Additional rot issues encountered during the tear-out were taken care of as well. We highly recommend DW Elite Decks to anyone looking for a premier partner in helping them create their ideal deck! They exceeded our expectations through every phase of the project. Research/Bidding Phase: Initially we obtained five bids during this process, and started to get a sense of frustration. We then performed a google search for local builders we came across DW Elite Decks, and submitted a request for proposal. Dan the owner, called us back that same day and scheduled an onsite review for later in the week. When Dan came onsite, we had a strong feeling from the start this would be different. He listened to what we were wanting to do with the project, asked some questions, and then it felt like he partnered with us to solve for the right solution. This solution not being the ?most expensive,? but rather how to build what we were after in the most efficient manner to minimize any wasting of resources. Dan was different for he was the only one who did not try to up-sale on the project, but rather laid out options, gave us his insight, and let us make the decision. Contract/Scheduling: The contract used to set-up the project was very simple to understand and we felt very comfortable contracting with his organization. We worked on scheduling the start of the project and set the date. Very simple process and extremely customer friendly! Building the Decks: From the time his team arrived onsite to when the project was complete we could not have been more impressed. The team was very professional, worked very efficiently, and their work was second to none. The team did the small things like keeping materials out of the way, cleaning up the jobsite throughout the day, and overall demonstrating ownership in their work. Overall: Dan is one of the most professional individuals I have met. He is diligent in communication, strives for exceeding expectations, and overall really takes pride in the work he delivers. We could not be happier with the end product. The two decks they built you can see they know what they are doing, and are specialist in this space. They did things most don?t think of when building decks. They ensured both decks were not going to cause any water damage inside the house (previous deck builder did not do this caused us issues), that the decks matched perfectly, and that the foundation was sturdy and appealing to the eye. We highly recommend DW Elite Decks for your decking project!

We used contractors on several remodeling projects since moving to Overland Park a few years ago, including finishing our basement and remodeling 3 bathrooms. DW Elite Decks is by far the best experience we've ever had in a home project. Over the past two years, we received 6-7 bids for our new deck. After meeting with Dan, he became the easy choice for our project and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our project includes a stamped concrete patio, a PVC deck (Azek brand) that is uncovered in one area and then covered in another area that includes dining and living room areas. We had a stone TV wall added (no fireplace) and a nice custom mantle that Dan and team added for us. We bead board on the ceiling, a ceiling fan, lighting, and in deck stair lights. When dealing with contractors, there are a few things that are important to us: 1) Be responsive, especially over email and text 2) Be proactive in telling us changes to schedules 3) Be thorough in documenting the project and every selection in writing so there is no confusion. 4) Be punctual and professional - this includes your crew. 5) Be honest and treat the project as if it were your own home. Dan and the entire DW team meet all criteria. In our visits with Dan, he was patient and heard our ideas (some of them bad) and was great about explaining alternative approaches to the deck design and selections we made. He was also very good about explaining cost impacts of decisions we were making. If we had questions or concerns, he was quick to respond to emails, calls and text messages. He told us his team would show up and get started at 6:45am each morning and I've never seen a group this punctual. I wish my company had people that could show up to meetings on time like these guys show up to work. For a month, the DW crew was our morning wake-up and I don't recall them every being a minute late. The project was flawless and we love our new addition to our house. I'm sitting on my covered deck as I write this review - it's become the room for dinner, royals games, morning coffee, games with the kids. It really is a dream room for us and I can't thank DW Elite Decks enough for making such a big investment a truly wonderful experience. He told me when giving me our bid that he's usually not the cheapest. He may not have been, but he was competitive and worth paying a premium for the peace of mind in doing business with a true group of professionals. I will refer them to anyone - just gave his information to my parents.

As a customer and homeowner I could not be more pleased with the final product that Dan Milford and Elite Decks built at my house. It turned out exactly how my wife and I envisioned when we signed the contract. Elite Deck. employees are craftsman and every aspect of my deck was built with professional skill and craftsmanship. The foreman and crew were a friendly group and got along very well at the job site. It was clearly evident to me, on a daily basis, that Dan and his employees take pride in the work they do. The project started on 5/21 and finished on 6/1 and even with rain delays, it was finished within the time frame Dan provided us. When they finished the project, they cleaned up the work site and hauled off all debris. My deck is solid evidence that Elite Decks does not just build decks, they build "Elite" decks. Great job!

As a follow up, he visited with my wife and I at our house to discuss the prospective project and help cast a vision/answer questions. Within the time frame he verbally committed to, he sent us an estimate and provided a schematic. In addition, he invited us to the DW Showroom so we could see the materials. He worked with our budget and was competitive with his bid. My wife and I decided to move forward with DW Elite Decks. During the duration my project, the team worked diligently to deliver the product we were expecting. They were always on time and ready to go. In addition, they were courteous, made themselves available to answer questions and extremely efficient. The final product was awesome! We love it! Even our friends and neighbors have even been complimenting the deck?s craftsmanship and details. It was exactly as Dan had outlined from the start - and we have enjoyed it ever since. These guys worked through the wet sloppy mud to get my deck done in time for my daughter's 5th birthday party. Although it was delayed because of the rain they were working as soon as it stopped. The deck is beautiful with accent lights on the post and lights in the stairs. It was a little pricey but you get what you pay for! These guys do excellent work!

We couldn't be happier with the work that was done by DW. Being able to go into their large showroom and actually see the materials and quality of work was a big plus for us while shopping for someone to make our outdoor space really special. The crew was wonderful and professional and extremely skilled at what they do. Our new screened in cedar deck is wonderful, we use it constantly. The concrete porch is wonderful for grilling, entertaining and just wonderful to look at.

The deck built by DW Decks exceeded my expectations. It started with their large showroom, where I was able to view and touch the installed products. I had chosen one product from samples but changed my mind when I say installed products at the showroom. The company does great work, no surprises on price, and completed the job just as bid, on time If you want a quality deck, I highly recommend this company.

From initial contact through follow ups to be certain our expectations were exceeded Dan and the crew at DW Elite Decks were great. What most impressed us and separated them from others was their professionalism during the quotation process. They took the time to explain things in detail, invited us to their showroom and walked through each step of the project. They didn't ask for design fees, try to upsell us to products we weren't interested in, etc. They just wanted to earn our business and they did. While their price was slightly higher than another quote we had (Less than another) it was in the ballpark. Their professionalism during the quote process, attention to details when we spoke with them at their showroom and their reviews won us over. Our retired neighbors that enjoyed watching the project unfold paid DW Elite Decks the best compliment "Your deck guys worked very hard and the decks are beautiful" We couldn't be happier with the finished product.

DW Elite decks screened in our covered deck. this was an existing deck with 6x6 cedar posts, covered and approx. 12 feet off the ground. They did an excellent job making the new deck blend with the old and with great attention to detail and craftsmanship. They extended the 6x6 cedar railings to the ceiling 12 feet up, screened with a high quality screen. We also had the underside of the deck screened to eliminate all possible insect entry. they placed screen between the studs and held in place with 2x2 trim work. Overall they did a very good job and in a timely manner, 2 days start to finish. While their cost will be slightly more that other companies that I researched, the value and quality is much greater. You get what you pay for, and we received a lot for our investment. Dan Milford, came to our house to give us an estimate, this was a quick process, and he had us the estimate/quote the next day. We paid exactly as he said and he had no extra charges. You will realize with their builds they don't staple the screens to the structure, but use a bracket for the screen with rubber spline , and cover all brackets/hardware with trim work. their decks have great visual depth, look complete, and look and have a great feel of quality I would use them again, and highly recommend DW Elite decks if looking for an outdoor project where quality is your driving factor

DW Decks was great to work with. Dan was very knowledgeable and helped design the perfect deck to meet our needs. He was very quick to respond and set everything up quickly. The deck is great and would highly recommend them in the future. All of his employees were very professional and great to work with.

They did an excellent job. They were meticulous with the entire project as this was custom and required some special adjustments . They started early and worked late. The jobsite was spotless when they were done. We are 100% satisfied!

Dan knows and employs customer service to the nth degree. He was very professional and responsive. He kept me appraised of the installation schedule. When their schedule opened up, he sent an email telling me when supplies would be delivered and where. We had discussion about the best location. Dan notified me of the hour the supplies were to be here and they were. So was Dan. The crew arrived early, worked efficiently and did a great job. They were pleasant and worked efficiently to install the project in 1 1/2 days. The deck was finished on a cold day. Dan sent an email to remind me they had hosed off the deck and it would be slippery. It was but I was warned. This was a small project compared to many of the photos I've seen of other work they've done. The service and care was first class nonetheless.

I requested a bid from DW Decks because of their ratings and awards on Angie's List. I chose them because of their responsiveness to my bid request, because their bid was very competitive, and because I was impressed with what I heard and saw during my visit to their showroom. Suffice to say that I decided to write this comment because the finished deck so splendidly met my hopes and expectations. Additionally, I would be remiss not to mention just how impressive the team?s work ethic and professionalism were. The sounds of steady construction were continuous from their early arrival until lunch and through the afternoon; and peaks out the window saw nothing but heads down, tools in action, all diligently working in concert on their respective parts of the whole. My thanks to Dan and the construction team for a job well done!

The company was great! Our decking was installed and looked fantastic. We will be using them in the future as we have moved to a new house and will be adding a deck in the future.

It turned out amazing I couldn't be more pleased with it. I gave Dan my ideas for my deck along with some of his ideas and pointers and had it built in about a week. He designed my deck got all the permits and gave me a fair honest proposal in a timely manner. They started on time and finished when they said they would. I defiantly recommend DW Elite Decks they are very professional and master craftsman. They do Excellent work and I wouldn't use anybody else.
