Everything did not go well. Almost immediately, we had issues with rust. You wouldn't think you would have issues with rust that soon afterwards. The fence had areas that had rust and paint that was chipped. The nuts were rusting, also. We called him. Being the nice guy that he is, he came to take a look at it. He touched up the fence but we're still left with the rusty nuts. I went out and bought nuts to replace the rusty ones with. I'm not sure if the nuts weren't anchored correctly or if in the process of trying to take them off, they became unanchored. But regardless, I shouldn't have been dealing with this myself. I called him again and he came out a second time. He said that once you start trying to take the nuts off that this is going to happen. He had suggested before that I paint them. I asked how I could take the rust off and he said that I could take a wire brush to them and paint them, but I feel like it would be easier to replace them. What he proposed and what he did were not the same thing. From the porch, there are 4 steps. He proposed to make the rail go down to the fourth step. The thing he didn't take into account is that the sections of the railings don't come long enough to make it to the fourth step. Overall, the gentleman is very nice but we did not get what we promised.

Good experience overall. Clear contract with reasonable pricing. When rot was discovered under old siding, Walt called and explained exactly what was the problem, what needed to be done, and how long it would take. There were some delays with weather, and the large replacement window had to be specially ordered, but otherwise things went generally smoothly.

We were very pleased with the professionalism of Walt Maxson. He was on the job site often to monitor quality and progress. We have used many contractors in the past for repairs. Maxson Remodeling and Construction is the first contractor we have dealt with that we would recommend and invite back when we are ready for future work.

It has been great and I have referred them to other people. I would give them all A's.

Went great. You couldn't tell they had been there. Walt was great. He was the only contractor that went completely around the perimeter in a very low crawl space. He found problems that if not addressed would have caused me great expense to fix later.

I called and they called back late that day and had someone out to repair it the next day. It took him about an hour to repair. He examined the entire roof for other areas of damage or needing to be resealed and after he was finished, cleaned up and circled the yard and picked up all the old shingles that had blown off.

They came to my home and gave us an estimate for the work. They were very professional, on time, and they did excellent work. They were good about cleaning up when they finished.

Two men worked most of the day to fix the problem. They did a good job. They didn't charge me and certainly more than fulfilled their promise.

They do excellent work. They are prompt.

They were outstanding. I've had them back to do work since then. They put siding on the house. They were very customer oriented, they would come out and check several times before they actually started the work. They were very felicitous about making sure the timing was right for me to come and do the work. They did a clean up everyday when they were finished so there wasn't stuff laying on my sidewalk. They were very friendly and professional.

Our entire experience with the Maxson folks was excellent. From our first meeting in early March with Dave Adams to discuss the project and get an estimate to the final wrap-up at the end of June. Everyone was courteous, professional and very knowledgeable. We anticipated a messy few months with no access through the room to the backyard for our two dogs. It was finished in 4 weeks with minimal interruption to our daily lives. We especially enjoyed working with Tom who was the primary carpenter and painter so he spent the most time here. He is very knowledgeable, adept at his craft, and personable. Any problems were transparent to us and the project went very smoothly. We highly recommend this company and would definitely use their services again.

I would use him again. He did quality work, but got a little expensive. He was on time, stayed on task and was great to work with.

They were very nice and very easy to work with. Walt provided a lot of guidance and checked in on the workers. They came to work on time and would clean up after themselves. They put tarps down to contain some of the mess. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone needing remodeling work.

We asked for them to do the handrail and banister in a different manner, using a mission style theme. No problem. They were great to work with and did an exceptional job.

Walt came out and provided an estimate, which was right on the money. All work was timely and professionally completed.

Contract was favorable for him and not for me. He gave himself the right to end projects when he wanted to and left construction materials in my garage. He did not communicate with me. No final inspection. The complete work I wanted done was not completed.

We called them because we have used them before. They are wonderful and did a beautiful job. They start a job and end a job when they say they will. The same person is there everyday. I can't say enough good things about them.

They are really good. They will do small jobs as well as large. They are nice to work with and will educate you when needed. They come on time and are very reliable. They are really nice about trying to work you in. I have used them in the past and will use them in the future.

I was pleasantly surprised that the owner himself came over to do the initial survey. They were the first company among several others to return the call and go through with the estimate visit. One thing that I was disappointed with is the time it took to get the quote. However when I have received detailed written proposal I realized why. The proposal was well written, clear and professional. Other companies were booked full with work for several months in advance (the Indianapolis area was hit by hail several months earlier). Even though I felt that the price was a bit high, I went ahead and signed the contract. Repairs were performed with high quality, thoroughly and on time. In a retrospect I should have done some negotiating for a better price. I will do it next time.

Walt was punctual, professional, and courteous. Maxson won the bid and will complete the work in the near future.

I called and left a message with a receptionist. I was called back within 2 days. They were booked out through the following 2 months already with jobs. My husband and I didn't want to wait that long to get started. Maxson's did give us another company's name to try, saying that they did a good job too. I felt that Maxson's responded very professionally and went above and beyond (with regard to giving us another company to call). A few of the companies that I called didn't even call back, let alone offer up a competitor's name.

Dave Adams was our main contact and he and the entire Maxson company could not have been more professional or responsive. This was a project that was started in November and they were extremely considerate of my request not to work at certain times during the holidays. During the course of the job whenever we requested a change or a problem would arise they never hesitated to address the situation immediately, professionally and courteously. Bill Ward, the lead contractor, is the best we've ever worked with and they always kept the area clean and picked up. We would not hesitate using Maxson any time and can recommend them without qualification.
