He has gone out of his way to find replacement parts for old cars and fix them up the most economical way. He is honest, fair, and efficient. We have used this auto service company for 15+ years, and have no complaints.
Description of Work: He has replaced the transmission in a 1995 Cadillac recently. It runs like new. He has replaced brakes on a Sunfire and a Daewoo. He has done extensive work on a 1994 Escort which now runs fine. He has done multiple jobs on the 6 old cars we own, between the 5 children and parents.

There has never been a problem with the service. It is high quality. They offer good reliable service. I will absolutely continue to use them.

Description of Work: My car quit running about 60 miles from my home. I was towed to a Ford Dealer who determined the fuel pump needed to be replaced. Their estimate seemed excessive high. I needed a second opinion and called Westfield Automotive (W.A.) who said they could install the same factory original replacement parts (Motorcraft Ford's brand name) for $200 less. W.A. pointed out by the time I pay for towing to Westfield, and the Dealer's diagnostic fee, and have the inconvenience, I would be better off letting the Ford Dealer do it. I needed an education on today’s higher cost for this type of repair and appreciated W.A. taking the time to discuss it with me. They have worked on my car before and I have always received professional workmanship for a reasonable price.

+ -1 moreThe work was done very efficiently and quickly, so I did not lose any time; it was all done within a day. I thought I might have to wait, but I did not have to wait. It was quick service. The price of a little over $100 was for parts and labor. They were very good about returning calls and letting me know the status of the work. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

Their prices are fair and they have excellent mechanics that are mature, quality guys. Whatever they pay for the parts, that's what I pay. They are professional. They call before they start and give an estimate and call when the project is done. It is a smooth experience.
Description of Work: I took my car in for a new rear-view mirror, replaced door seals, and I've had brakes and other stuff done in the past.

Neil, the owner, takes the time to advise against repairs if the cost compared to the value of the vehicle isn't justified. I would recommend visiting Westfield Automotive, even if the drive would be a bit long, because their service is that good! I've always been satisfied with Westfield Automotive, and I will continue to use their services going forward!

I also asked a general question, "About how many miles do rear brakes last on this type of car?" I was only asking for an opinion. They went through the trouble of removing the rear wheels to inspect the brakes and reported the brakes are in good condition.
Description of Work: Air conditioning system has been leaking freon. A/C was recharged and the leak was located. We discussed repair issues, I decided not to do the repair due to the age of the car. They also inspected the rear brakes.

+ -1 moreIt was a bit of a mess. They first ordered the wrong seat belt. I took the car in waited most the day and then I was sent home because it was the wrong one. I had to take it back then they replaced the wrong side. He then became testy with me and said that I had told him wrong. If I would have had another option I would have went somewhere esle, they had done good work in the past but this one time it was a mess.
