+ -1 moreWe called to have someone out to spray because of a couple of creepy spiders setting up camp on the outside of our windows, and because some ants were near our kitchen sink. I called and Scat was able to put us on the schedule very quickly. Every time we call we receive friendly and professional service. The technician is always exactly on time. He listens to any trouble spots and takes care of them right away. When he came on Monday he even told us where the problem was and a quick fix (maintenance item). I also appreciate the fact that we see the same person each time. He remembers us and our home and just goes to work. Also, we receive reminder postcards when it is time for another service. That helps us with our busy schedule and Scat keeps track so we don't have to. I am very pleased with Scat.

+ -1 moreSCAT is always very polite and interested in keeping us pest-free. When the owner had back surgery recently, he called to tell us his next inspection would be late, but our insurance was continued.
Description of Work: For the past 16 years, we have had a contract with SCAT to do an annual inspection of our home. Prior to buying our home, there had been a termite problem. Though we have never had a pest problem, we have kept the annual contract to assure us that there's no recurrence. It also serves as "insurance" since the contract entitles us to free treatment if there's a problem. Each year the inspector gives us good advice, like extending our downspouts so that our crawl-space stays dry. Once he alerted us that duct work had become detached.

Description of Work: Called on a Monday, and they were able to come out the very next day. Mice were getting under the house and we wanted to make sure they did not make their way into the house. Mom is homebound and elderly. The person that handled the job was very professional and did a thorough job.

+ -1 moreThese folks are awesome! From the initial telephone call, to the home visits and all of my other calls - everyone I spoke to was polite, understanding, informative and on-time. I have used them before (for mice in the attic) and will use them again if I ever need them...but hopefully I won't.
Description of Work: SCAT pest control helped us right from the initial phone call. I called them thinking we had a hornet problem, but after they asked 1 or 2 questions they knew it was bees - yellow jackets to be precise. They listened to what we were experiencing, told us some of the things we had done wrong (oops), told us what not to do, and arranged to send someone out right away. They came out and sprayed the area where the nest was, advised us to let them "bomb" the interior (which meant vacating for a couple of hours), and looked around to make sure there were no other nests. After about 5 days we still had bees coming and going from the nest area (they just had found a different entrance) and they came out to spray again. About a week after that we still had bees flying all about, but they weren't entering the nest. Mark (the owner) came out one last time and sprayed around the entire area with another chemical and that took care of them once and for all!

+ -1 morePlease see the work performed. I would not use them again. They used the old trick that some one was in the area. May be they were but I was not here when the work was done. I was just left a bill. After I called them back they said that they would not be removing the nest. I have checked into the Purdue EXT office they said if the nest is not remove it will smell. I feel that I was left with half the job done and a full price paid for work not completed.
Description of Work: When I call the man he said that he had some one in the area they would come over in a few minutes. Well they can and sprayed for the yellow jackets. However they still kept on coming into my home. I call them again about three weeks later, this time a made an appointment. They said that the jacket are still up in my house eves and that they would be dying soon. But that they would not remove the nest from the house. When I told them that the Purdue EXT said that was the best to stop the smell. They told me that some one would call me back. The young man said that they have never removed a nest before not sure if they did that. I have not heard another word from them.

+ -1 moreScat used a powder insecticide on the first visit which seemed to work. In three days the jackets were back into building their hive. Scat's second trip was very punctual and they used a liquid down the hole which took care of the pests. Very good job, and no extra fee for the second trip.

+ -1 morePromised to arrive around 6:30pm, called around noon and offered to come by inbetween other appts. Explained why the yellow jackets had come into the home, explained how he was going to treat for the yellow jackets and the wasps, performed the work quickly and efficiently. Very polite. When I called 10 days later to report we continued to see bees inside, Scat returned and plugged some interior holes into wall cavaties, then left some odorless spray for us to use as we saw bees. Gave a time estimate how long we should expect to continue seeing the bees inside as well.
Description of Work: Smoked out yellow jackets in nest from hole in exterior of home, sprayed wall cavaties, can lights, water heater vent and interior rooms in general to eliminate yellow jackets from interior of home AND sprayed a portion of exterior of home for wasps.
