They saved me $500. plus by telling me the truth. The bugs that I was finding in my home was in fact an outdoor bug that were finding their way in. I spoke to 4 other pest control companys they were the only ones that asked about this certain bug and knew that this bug invades homes during this time of year. I am so happy I joined Angies list and the same day called them. Every one else assumed I knew what bug I had and was ready to sign me into a year contract to rid my bugs. THANK YOU!

I called Scat for an estimate to spray for carpenter bees. Mark came out promptly to give me an estimate. He was courteous and professional. I had him return to spray for the bees on 4/8/2010. He treated the area and also knocked down an old wasp nest for me. I still saw the bees about ten days later. I called and spoke with a lady at the office. She said that it sometimes takes a while to work and that I should give it a few more days. If it wasn't better at that time, she said to call back and they would be happy to come back and respray. I did not need to have the area retreated. The carpenter bees are no longer a problem for me. I am very happy with the results. I appreciated the Angie's List discount.

Appointment was for between 4 and 5. Technician arrived within a minute or two of 4. He appeared to be knowledgeable, and took his time. (He spent 1.5 hours here.) He even removed certain electrical plates to dust inside. Much more thorough than the service we used last year.

They came within hours of my call. Service was outstanding - helpful, informative, and friendly. While time will tell if the treatment works (they have a 60 day guarantee, so I'm not sweating it), I couldn't be more pleased and impressed with these guys.

They got rid of them and they are off our swing set. They were great and I would use them again if I had another need. They were prompt, professional, and courteous.

I'M BUZZING WITH EXCITEMENT Kids love bugs, but spotting a big black spider inside my house would put me in a creepy bad mood while I figured out how to get rid of it. So I called Scat Pest Control. And since they sprayed around the perimeter of my home, I haven?t seen the first bug. These guys must be entomologists ? they know everything! Plus they are so polite, so professional, so scientific that I have signed up for continuing service. Oh joy! It?s Heavenly To Live Without Bugs.

We had a few ants and evidence of a mouse / mice in basement. Scats came sprayed and laid traps. Now no sign of ants or mice. Visit seems to have worked. Thanks

I called Scat Monday morning and they said that they could be out on Tuesday. I explained that I was off work that day and would not be on Tuesday. He called me back a few minutes later and said that would be fine, they would be out later in the day. They arrived right on time and the gentlemen was very courtious and answered all my questions. I have signed up for continued service and I am very happy with what I have recieved.

Overall we were so pleased we will continue to have regular treatments and keep our home comfortable and happy!

I contacted Scat in the afternoon and they were available the following day. Dan was very cordial and professional. I felt completely comfortable having him in my home. This was our first contact with this company but we will continue to use them and refer them to our friends.

They were just great. They are a small company that cares, and they did a wonderful job.

Dan (licensed applicator and VP of the company) was very professional and spent the time chatting with me about the process and how the poison worked (odorless). Guaranteed removal or they would come back out free of charge. I was very comfortable with Dan and signed up for quarterly treatments for the perimeter of our home. He assured me that the traps were out of the dog's range and that cats would be unable to access poison. I have not heard any mice in the walls since Dan's visit and I would highly recommend Scat to anyone.

We discovered damage to a soffit. Mark inspected it and indicated that it was caused by a woodpecker, but there was no evidence of insect infestation.

I have been using these guys for years, and they have really done a great job getting rid of spiders and millipedes in our home. Before I could count the number of bugs in the house on a daily basis. Now I can count on one hand the number of bugs I see in an entire year.

We had noticed mouse droppings in our pantry, so I set out some traps, and caught/killed a mouse. I thought that would be it, but we found more droppings a few days later, and my mousetraps didn't catch anything else. At this point we called Scat. They came out and put down animal friendly traps (we have a dog) all over our house in the mouse "hot spots". They also gave a bunch of advice for what to do over the next few weeks to eradicate the mice, as well as long term advice for how to keep them from coming back. After having Scat out, we have not seen any more mouse droppings anywhere (a month later).

They do a very good job. I have been using their service for about 8 years. They are on time and do what they say they will do. They are here when I need them.

I had suspected that I had beetles. They did find some cases of that and showed me. I live in an old house and I just had to put in some new joist under the house. The guys who worked on that suggested that I should have the pest control come out and have a look at that. They sprayed under there and they also said that the people who put the joist in left a bunch of wooden stuff lying around. They pulled that all out and cleaned out under there. They also almost insisted that I put down a vapor barrier because the moisture does the bugs. They talked to me and did let me know what was going on. They earned every penny of it crawling around along their bellies. I would use them again in future if need be.

They are very good. They send me notices when it is time for me to have my spraying done. I have used them for a long time. I have one of those contracts with them where they come out to do certain things every year. They are always very punctual and they do a good job. They do what they say they will do for me. I haven't had a problem with carpenter ants for years, not since I have been using them. They are a good company to work with. I have used them for so long over the years and the prices have gone up a lot. I guess that's pretty much the way it is everyplace. I don't know what anybody else charges, but I think their price is good. They are very responsive. They tell me if I see anything to call them and they will redo it. When they say they are coming at a certain time, they are here. They are very professional.

We found them on Angies list and we really liked them. They knew the products very well. They shared the information with us like the options, what?s good and bad, etc. They were thorough.

Two wasps were found in our house that's for sale in Indiana; and later three more. I wondered if I should have someone come out and spray. I was advised to "save my money" -- wasps are becoming dormant & it's unlikely that the source could be found, plus they don't continually nest in the same spot & may have moved on. I've used Scat before to spray for carpenter bees & the product they used took care of the problem. They are very knowledgeable about pest control.

I have using them for a long time. I like their consistency, thoroughness, and professionalism. They are good, and I am pleased with their service.

They come out every three months. We have signed a quarterly contract with them. They charge $75 per visit. So far, we like everything about them. They call and schedule the visits. They show up on time. They are due to come out, shortly.

Very helpful on the phone and provide a price and where to get a coupon (should have a coupon in Angie's List). They were punctual and explained everything from placement, to safety for pets, to signs to look for. There have been no mice problems since the treatment. Would definitely recommend.

I had Terminix do an inspection because I had seen some sort of flying ant outside earlier in the year. They wanted me to spend $1200-$1500 for a termite treatment and warranty. I did care for their service. Darien Tropf, The Handywoman, told me about Scat as she had used them. I called Scat and Mark, the owner, came at my convenience to do an inspection. The inspection cost $75 as opposed to the free inspections other companies offer, but I felt confident his main purpose that day was to do a thorough inspection, not to try and sell me treatments I didn't need. Based on what he saw, he said he did not think termite treatment was necessary. I will call them next summer if I see the same bugs.
