Scat Pest Control

My experience with them is very good. The gentleman that came out was very friendly and they got me in quickly. After they sprayed for the first time, I saw more spiders around, so they came out very quickly and sprayed again.

We recently moved into a new home that backs up to a wooded area. With warm weather, we found that we had a lot of various insects coming into our home, especially in our basement and family room. We also had Sprickets (Camelback Crickets) in the basement that, though harmless, were not welcome. We called and the scheduling was easy and informative, whereas the representative gave us the exact cost and told us what type of insects the spray would cover. We also found that, unlike some other companies, you did not need a contract to have quarterly services (as long as you scheduled them within 90 days of the original treatment) and they would be at a reduced rate. We scheduled an appointment and the technician arrived at the time scheduled. The equipment and vehicle were in good order and he was polite, informative and friendly. The technician sprayed all 3 floors of our home and powersprayed the exterior, making sure to thoroughly get underneath the deck, behind bushes, and in the garage. It has been a little over a week now and, since day one, we have not had any more insects (other than the occasional spider, which the spray is not intended to affect) enter our home. We do, however, have numerous (welcome) insect carcasses scattered around the baseboards and in the basement- so I'm assuming it must be working. Experience was as to be expected when dealing with a contractor and no issues arose.

They spray the inside and around the foundation for pests and bugs, the spray the bushes around our patio so that we can keep mosquitoes away. It goes very well.

It went better than I had expected and could not have asked for a nicer person. He was polite and explained what he was doing and what to expect. They also guaranteed the work for the season to come back if there were more bees seen, I never had to call them back. Could not have been happier with the service I received from them.

They came and sprayed the interior and exterior for ants and spiders. My husband is an entomologist and was very impressed with the gentleman's knowledge, his honesty, and plans of action that would be effective. We have the Box Elderwood Bugs and talked to him about how to get rid of them and he was completely honest that he could tell us he will spray for those particularly but honestly we would end up disappointed because there is no real solution to getting completely rid of them, the volume may slow down but they will still be here. We were just really impressed that he didn't tell us what we wanted to hear but his honesty was very much appreciated. We are also hiring them back to do an under the house inspection also.

First time we have called SCAT. All I can say is I was impressed. So glad we had ants so we could meet Dan. We will call them again if we have any bug issues. Thanks Dan, it was a pleasure meeting you.

The gentleman who came to my house was on time and courteous. He examined all of the corners of our basement and the crawl space and put down preventative materials that would deter any invasive animals. He was not leery of crawling into every "nook and cranny"! I appreciated his thoroughness. Also, it is important to know that when you contract with this company for preventative maintenance, they will come back at no charge if their methods do not work. This company is excellent.

He was very careful and got into all the necessary areas that I pointed out - also all the areas he thought needed to be sprayed. It's been a week and a half - so far, so good!!

We have used Scat Pest Control for quite a while and have always been very pleased with there service. We are on their quarterly service plan so we seldom see any pests. On the rare occasion a creepy crawler does make it inside, Scat is quick to show up (at no extra charge) at my house. Brian, our service provider, is a pleasure to work with. He is always very polite and friendly.

Subsequently, We have signed up for their annual protection plan.k

They were great. The individual that came was knowledgable, pleasant, prompt, and quick. He looked at what I thought was insect problems in the garage and he said he didn't think so and he left traps for the rats and we think that handled the problem. They responded very quickly. I was very pleased.

When I first moved into my house 2 years ago, it was immediately evident that I had a major bug problem. I was killing 3 or more spiders A DAY, and I shudder to think about the ones I didn't see. I hate spiders; many a coworker has seen me run screaming from my desk because a spider was on it (yes, I'm the type of person who makes other people kill spiders for them). A friend of a friend recommended Scat, and I had them come out and treat for the spiders and other crawling insects. I also signed up for quarterly service, so they treat inside and out every 3 months. For about a month after the first service, I was cleaning up dead spiders, but since that very first service, I have seen ONE live spider in my house. One. From 3+ a day to one in 2 years... that's incredible. Last year, I had a problem with tiny ants in my kitchen. They came out and re-treated twice (no charge since I'm a quarterly customer) until the problem was solved and I didn't see any more ants. I can't say enough about what a pleasure it has been to work with Scat. Brad, my regular exterminator, is very friendly, always on time, and very easy to work with. Wish I could give them an A++!

While Dan was able to kill all of the visible ants instantly, other ants were hiding from sight. He said the residual sprayed on liquid would soon take care of the hidden ants. He asked that I give the application 10 days to completely get rid of the ants. That seems reasonable. He said to call at the end of 10 days if ants were still here and he would return to get rid of them.

They were a good provider and did everything they said they would do. They accomplished what I wanted them to accomplish.

This experience went great. I started to get silverfish in early February of this year. It started off as one and two here and there then it grew to 4-5 a day. They mostly showed up in the main bathroom. These little things are nasty and I did not want the numbers to keep growing. I tried everything they had at Lowe's, but I really didn't see that big of an improvement. I finally gave in and called in a professional. Unfortunately for me, the one I called was one of the big guys. They came out and gave the lousiest effort. They were very courteous, but they weren't knowledgeable. They also missed an appointment and tried to push back another one. It was a big waste of money. Luckily I saw a review about Scat Pest control. I decided to give them a call and they called me the same day. I spoke to Mark and explained the situation and the first thing he said was "Do you have a humidifier on your furnace?" This whole time I was pumping humidity into my house and was unaware. They stopped more silverfish just from that call than the big guy did from spraying twice. His son Daniel came out and put bait in the attic, sprayed the baseboards and the outside of the house. He also explained to me why the humidity was so high in my house, other than the humidifier. Daniel also explained what he was spraying before he did it. I wouldn't recommend anybody else for pest control. These guys knew their stuff. I think most importantly they actually cared about my issue. You never really get that anymore.

Last year our yard and patio became overrun with pill bugs every evening. We were hoping that the long cold winter would help eliminate them, but as soon as the weather warmed up hundreds of pill bugs started coming out again in the evening so we called Scat Pest Control. When we called they were super courteous, available to come out within a week, and their products are safe around children and pets. On the day of our appointment they were on time, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. It was a wonderful experience and we plan on having them spray quarterly. They said it would take 7-10 days to fully work, but we?re already seeing a huge reduction in the number of pill bugs after just 2 days!

They were very resonably priced and do a great job.

Had mice coming up from the crawl space under the house. Called Scat, they arrived and placed boxes with poison in them around the house and in the garage and in the crawl space. After a few days, I saw no more mice and had no odor from dead mice.

Working with Scat was great! They were very knowledgable and friendly to work with. I was recommended by family friends to use their service. I was not disappointed! I will definitely be using Scat again.

They did a wonderful job. They came out quickly. Everything went realy well. Their prices are resonable.

Scat does not take credit cards and treated me like a criminal that was trying to steal from them. I couldn't change companies due to the time constraints, though I certainly wanted to. I hired a house sitter to let the Scat inspector in, but the only way I could get the report was to have a check left for them under the front door mat the next day. When, and only when, they got the check, I was allowed a copy of the report. We did not have termites, which I already knew, but no amount of positive Angie's List reports will ever make me use them again. It turned out that that the entire refinancing process was held up by obtaining this report. The message I got from this lack of professionalism was that "I don't care about you, but your money talks. Good thing they don't run a restaurant.

Brian is typically who comes to do the spraying. He is always personable and helpful, and we are very thankful for the relationship we have with Scat, as my wife is terrified of spiders and goes crazy if she sees even one. They always do a great job and we rarely see any sort of bugs in our house as a result of their great work! Kudos to Scat!!!

Been having trouble with ants since November. Were keeping them at bay with DIY efforts, but they kept coming back and were worse than ever. Since we have twins that are going to be crawling soon, we decided to go professional. Called Scat based on reviews from AL. They explained their approach, the cost, everything...very thorough, and this was before we have even hired them. When we made an appt, they made it out that day! When he left the ants were GONE! Also, they are going to come back when the weather warms up and spray outside to make sure that the ants stay gone! Not sure if they are priced well, I did not price compare, but based on other reviews, I assume that they are spot on. Still, $175 is a lot to get rid of ants, but worth it to have peace of mind when the twins start moving!

I contacted Scat after reading glowing reviews on Angie's List. We have had problems with ants in our home for the last several years and have always tried to treat it ourselves with sprays and traps/bait. This winter, the ants came back and we didn't want to deal with them for the next several months so we hired a professional. We called Scat on a Friday morning and they came out that same morning. Matt was our technician and he was prompt and very professional. He put on booties to avoid tracking dirt throughout our home. We explained the issues we were having and where the ants were appearing. He asked appropriate questions and thoroughly explained what he was going to do. He sprayed throughout our house and crawl space. In the past we have suspected that we have an ant colony living in our wall; Matt suggested this may be the case and put out gel bait. He also offered to come back if our contractor (who will be working on the wall in question) notices ants and spray the colony while the wall is down. We have a 16-month old son and a dog, and Scat uses products that are not harmful or odorous. We only had to keep the baby off of the sprayed floors for about 20 minutes while they dried. Scat will be back to spray the exterior perimeter of the house in the coming weeks as weather allows. Best of all, we never felt like we were being taken advantage of financially. Matt explained ongoing service options, but never made a recommendation or used a hard-sell approach. He even took the 10% Angie's List discount off the bill without us even mentioning it.
