+ -1 moreThey are a family owned business and we pay them on a quarterly basis. They are very responsive and just an excellent company. If we need them to come out on Saturdays, they will. They just work with us in every way they can. If we have any issues, they come back out and not charge us anything additional. We have noticed a lot of dead bugs and spiders, and that kind of thing. It has decreased in the number on the house.
Description of Work: We use Scat Pest Control quarterly for outdoor and indoor pest control services. They spray around the house and do the various pest control services. We’ve used them for about 9 or 10 years now.

Description of Work: Called SCAT to schedule initial spray and regularly quarterly treatments. Process was detailed over phone very thoroughly and price quoted. Appointment was scheduled for the next day with a set time (no "window"). Technician arrived 5 minutes early, again explained entire process and detailed pricing. He did work and let me know when he was finished, leaving me receipt of work and his card.

Our technician explained everything while he worked. He was very friendly and very professional. I cannot say enough good things about Scat!

The service rep destroyed all of the ants and treated the surrounding wood as well as all around the outside of the house. He also inspected my basement to ensure there were no other sites of infestation. I would not hestiate to call them for any future service.

+ -1 moreUse Scat for quarterly bug control, they come out and spray the outside of my house on a quarterly basis. The first part of December I had a family of mice come for a visit. Called and Scat and they come out the next day and laid down traps in the basement, crawl, pantry, garage and went around the outside of the house looking for places they might enter. I have not seen a mouse since and all of that was part of my quarterly treatment. I truly think they should charge me for the visit, but no it's part of their ongoing service. Who does that! Great service!

+ -1 moreVERY knowledgeable, professional and affable technician "Brad" whom I would highly recommend! He spent over an hour here , answering all questions ( of which I had many ,including some "dumb" ones) and educating about rodent and insect behavior. He was "maybe" 10 minutes "late" which would hardly count as "late." He expressed optimism the problem would be fully resolved by today's bait trap placement which are good for 1 1/2 years! Will probably have them back for perimeter spraying if ants re-appear . We have had NO further sightings of mice nor of ants!
Description of Work: Listened patiently to our "story" and concerns. Conducted visual inspection of kitchen areas for mice entry points, pointing out scat we had not noticed. Explained "why" and "how" mice gain entry , emphasizing they do not "discriminate" and can be found in the most upscale of homes. Also, thoroughly explained behavior of ants. Sprayed all baseboards and other possible entry points for ants , explaining to keep dogs away from those areas for 30 minutes. Placed 9 bait traps in garage, and various places inside home for mice and made recommendations on acquiring steel wool and silicone caulking to fill openings where mice may have gained entry. Even took the time to speak with my hubby by phone about this. ***They returned on 3/11 to spray up against the house, front and back, which I had completely forgotten was part of the package. i heard what sounded like power-washing , saw a truck in the driveway that I thought said "Scott's" and thought perhaps a company had mistaken our home for another address. Anyway, I appreciate that they followed through with this which was almost a "bonus."

+ -1 moreThey were reasonable and they worked. We had evil problem like infestation. They resolved the problem. They came when they were supposed to. They came and sprayed. They told that it had to be treated repeatedly. It worked and we got rid of the problem. They told us one thing when we called. They told that we would be better off with the multiple treatment things and then when our landlord called, they told that one should take care of it. It made us look a little stupid. It looked like we were trying to make our landlord to do things that weren't necessary. It was the only complaint we had with them. There was no fault with the guy who came out to do the service, but with the quote process. They weren't concerned about the information they were providing. The price was average. They were extremely professional.

I appreciate the fact that I generally see the same friendly technician, too. I initially brought them in because of ants, and ended up signing up for their quarterly service. Thanks to Scat, we rarely see bugs in our house. At one point recently, however, I did have a suspicion that we might have had bed bugs brought into the house. I called Scat in a panic, and they did a quick analysis and reassured me that was NOT the case. I can't express strongly enough how much I appreciated their concern and responsiveness. Last summer, a sales rep for a national pest control company was canvassing the neighborhood and made all sorts of promises that I could sense were just that - promises. Scat Pest Control is a local company that cares about its customers, and I would not consider changing.

+ -1 moreWe've been with Scat Pest Control for almost 5 years. We live near water and as a result have large numbers of spiders. We started as quarterly customers but that seemed a bit infrequent. Monthly seemed excessive so Scat worked with us to create a bi-monthly plan. That plan has worked out very well. While we know the spiders are still outside, the barrier spray is working to keep them out of the house. Over the last five years I estimate less than 5 bugs or spiders have been seen alive in the house - and not many more dead ones. We've seen none inside in this reportedly heavy spider year. Service is prompt, efficient and friendly.

+ -1 moreI found scat using Angie's list and noticed all of the good reviews. They did not disappoint. The experience was fantastic. I called them about the wasps and they came out the same day. Three days later all wasps were gone and we had out house and outside again. I will definitely use them for all of my pest control needs.

+ -1 moreCalled to have bees removed, had to leave message(8:00 am) but someone called back with in an hour and were out at the house by 11:30. Sprayed outside at the hive entrance and helped to close up holes inside of the home where they were coming into laundry room. Sprayed laundry room as well. Told us the would come back out and retreat if necessary but the bees are gone.

+ -1 moreI've been using Scat for about 2 years now and they are wonderful. I always get a postcard in the mail to remind me that I need to schedule my quarterly service. They usually are able to get me in within a matter of days. The product they use is great and not harmful to my pets. I rarely have to deal with spiders (thank goodness!) and when I do, I call them back out and they spray again at no charge. I would definitely recommend Scat!
