Four years ago, I retained PPG to install a heating sidewalk and front porch with pavers; since this work was completed in April-May 2015, I have now spent 000's of dollars repairing PPG's abysmal work. Today, I am faced with pavers literally falling off the front porch! PPG is terrible at everything they promote, hardscapes, landscaping, etc., if it did not cost me $000's in repairs, I would sue this company for incompetence and abysmal workmanship! my recommendation, DO NOT RISK HIRING THIS COMPANY.

Words cannot adequately convey the incompetence of this company and the people who unfortunately are working there. My sprinkler system stopped working and so my dad and I called PPG. I had already had a very negative experience with them but my dad really liked them and wanted to give them the opportunity. Well, needless to say....I was correct once again. An owner, Dan, emailed my dad saying they would be here at 8:30 am. Cut to 11:30, they finally show. no phone call to say they are going to be late. Ok, 3 hours later....Jeff comes. He tells my dad that it is an electrical issue on their part and he will be getting Berth electric to take a look today. It has been in the 90's and so we were adamant that it needed to happen and Jeff said that he would be back with the electrician today. At about 4:30, still no sign of Jeff, we called. Dan, he has no idea what is going on and tells me I need to get an electrician...then with my dad, he agrees, no it is our problem. What??? Next, some man, Gary, shows up after leaving water running for 1.5 hours and point blank LIES to us saying he had turned it off and we are like we have been watching this for 1.5 hours, you just showed up. I turned on my video camera at that point. So basically nothing was achieved except for the fact that my dad and I spent our day, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with no solution and feeling like we were in an episode of the THREE STOOGES. More like the PPG Stooges. I don't know if this is a comedy routine, a bunch of men who just lie to customers for fun, or if a higher power is testing my ability to deal with INCOMPETENCE, but whatever the case, my dad and I both decided that after we get this fixed, IF, in fact we do....we will never again use these people for anything. I would not let these fools pull my weeds. I feel like they should have an actual WARNING LABEL. Bigger fools I have never encountered, it is like a comedy routine. When these fools left today my dad and I were exhausted and also giggling that these people even have a company.

After my dad and I used this company and paid them a TON of money, they totally failed us. They were rarely here on time, I always had to call and ask when they would be here to mow. We had to repeatedly ask for the mulch we paid for. Two times they left my gates open and my DOGS got out! Today when I called to see why they hadn't come on Wednesday to mow my grass, it is Friday, they gave excuses and finally they said they wouldn't be coming and they cancelled our contract. They were offended that I called to complain and when Nikky in the office was rude, I hung up the phone because I am still the customer here. I guess you are not allowed to call up and actually ask for a company to do the service they contracted for and hurt their little bitty feelings. Now I sit here with my grass very high because I waited on them all week. On Angie's List they have an F rating. DO NOT DEAL with this company!!!! They said they would do it by 11 and at 3 pm called my 87 year old father, who has spent thousands with them over the years, to say they would just cancel on us. They also had promised 3 free mowings for letting my dogs out...guess that was another lie.

Awful! PPG did a terrible job, tiles are coming lose and falling off our porch; sidewalk heating system stopped working, plants & trees died. Initially, PPG was responsive, but as problems continued PPG refused to further fix anything that was a problem. If the cost to litigate was less than the cost to retain another company to repair, I would have filed a lawsuit against this company. PPG's workmanship is terrible and I would NEVER consider allowing this company anywhere near our home.

Practical Property Group (PPG) was retained in March of 2015. Initially, the project began with the installation of new pavers for the front porch and sidewalk, to include a heating system. Once the paver project was complete, the layout was terrible...the house had a slight angle to it, so instead of laying the pavers along the house lines, the laid the pavers straight, leaving a 2" gap between the house and pavers, which they filled in with a black filler, the appearance was terrible. I instructed PPG to redo the front porch, which was finally completed correctly. Today, several of the tiles are uneven and the front steps are not aligned with the sidewalk/front door, off center by 3+ inches.
Continuing the project, PPG installed new plants, trees, etc., which was done as planned. However, areas of the lawn were damaged do to the construction, and to date have not been repaired. Additionally, I arranged for PPG to mow our lawn once a month (unless I requested otherwise), as well as monthly lawn maintenance to include weeding, trimming of bushes, etc., to begin in April; PPG did not get to my yard for the monthly maintenance until May 15th, I was advised a few days later that they did not trim the bushes, per my specific request, because it was not necessary. With regard to mowing, PPG was scheduled to mow several times, however, often not showing (occasional because of rain), but I was advised that they were "too busy" and would get to me when they could. In mid-April, I requested two additional landscape lights to be installed, to date this has not occurred.
I would like to add that most of the crew from PPG were wonderful and very good at their respective jobs; my issue lies mainly with the inadequate communication.

UPDATE: PPG fixed most of the problems to my satisfaction. However, most plantings have not or will not survive.
UPDATE 10.2.2015: 90% of the plants installed by PPG have died and will be replace by another company at my cost; PPG has previously stated they do not warranty plants. I was advised by the new landscaping company that PPG planted the plants without adding soil, planting in clay, dramatically reducing the chances of survival.

Very well. We had a design in mind of the new brick pavers we would like installed. They worked with us on identifying potential problems or ideas, and gave us a great selection of bricks to choose from. The installation was very well done - professional team and communicated well with what step they were on and projected timeline to completion. We are very happy with our new brick pavers.
