Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for $39 for A/C Tune-Up including New Filter.

Description of Work: Bought an Angie's List Deal for A/C inspection and air filter replacement for and small second furnace and A/C that was installed as part of a room addition. Had had absolutely superior experiences with their plumbing services previously. HVAC technician inspected and said we need almost $800 in work for an A/C unit installed in 2005. Said needed 4 pounds of Freon and the compressor or capacitor or something also needed replacement. A/C seemed to be working to us so we declined. Asked for our air filter and was told since we had a 4 inch filter that was not included even though that exclusion was not mentioned in the Deal or its fine print. Technician said he didn't even have one on his truck that he could sell us. | |We had the installers of our primary furnace and A/C unit come and repeat the inspection. They said all we had was a slow Freon leak and everything else was fine. Added 1.5 pounds of Freon and the bill was about 25% of the estimate from PHP's technician. Should have gone with them first and saved my $39 and hassle.
