They were able to fix the problem very quickly and showed me what the issue was. The service tech was very professional and nice. He even looked at my water softener at no charge while he was here. I was able to get the price on the phone before the tech arrived. I will definitely use them again.

+ -1 moreWe bought an Angie's deal with this company to do an overall inspection of the plumbing in our house including the sump pump. This was a complete waste of our money. We were experiencing issues with our sump pump backing up during heavy rains. The gentleman was not very helpful and offered no clear ideas on identifying the problem. In addition, He offered to fix a toilet that was clugged for over $120.00. I made a trip to the local hardware store and fix the problem with just $7.00. Will not use again and do not recommend.

+ 0 moreOur furnace did not light on this morning. Fortunately it wasn't bitter cold - just the same I built a fire in the fireplace to take the chill off. I had used "the paramedics" before on an Angie's Deal to inspect the furnace in the fall. At that time the service person had also voluntarily cleaned out the air conditioner as the cooling season was coming to and end. He had offered to come check out any plumbing problems I might have at a later visit. I called the "before hours" number and left a message requesting service. I also noticed the company had an online chat facility on their website so I also engaged the online person. Soon, just after 8am they called and set up an appointment for 1:30. If it had been colder out they would have scheduled a quicker response. The service person arrived promptly at 1:30 - it was the same guy, He got right to work and soon had the part replaced and the furnace working. As before we had a nice conversation there in my workshop I decided to take him up on the plumbing issue - I have a sump pump that had a unwieldy outflow pipe with a check valve. He looked at it for a minute and figured out a way to strengthen the outflow pipe so it would be rigid and that would permit the pump to operate smoother. We used some of his parts and some of mine to fix it. When he presented the bill it only included the original service call and the replacement part. A few days later we got a nice card in the mail thanking us for the business. I was the one doing the thanking!

+ 0 moreWhen our water heater went out, we lost hot water so we were anxious to have a quick fix. I spent a day checking our prices at local hardware stores, investigating prices online, and trying to determine whether this was something we could fix ourselves. The gas scared us to do on our own, so I had another national chain come out first to give us an estimate. I was shocked to see they would charge three times the amount it would cost to do it on our own. I called a few more places, then finally came across a coupon for Plumbing Heating Paramedics on Angie's List. Not only was it cheaper or in line with the other guys, but it also included an extended warranty and annual plumbing check up. When I called to make the appointment, the woman who answered the phone initially asked if they could come out in a few days. She must have sensed the hesitation in voice and immediately asked, "You don't have any hot water, do you?" When she heard that, she rounded up the troops, and her guys were out to my house within an hour or two, even though it was snowing and the roads were getting messy. Within a few more hours, I had my new water heater. I was amused to hear, "See ya later, Dad!" as the first guy was leaving. Turns out he was the owner, his father was the technician, and his mother was the one answering the phones. Nice to see a family-run company taking care of its customers so well!

+ -1 moreI purchased a Big Deal @ $99.00 for two hours of plumbing work. I called prior to purchase to veryify this could be used for my project. A very professional friendly lady answered and confirmed all three could be completed using this coupon. This Big Deal allowed for me to provide the valves and that I would be responsible for any additional materials and supplies. The gentleman was very professional. He completed the job just within the two hours. He left no mess and my additional fees for materials/supplies - about $4. My total was just under $104 plus valves. I bought the valves for around $75 for all three. I also didn't know the size of the main valve and had to purchase/return an extra valve to cover both possibilities 3/4 and 1". Other companies I contacted prior to this deal required they provide the valves and the charges were around $350 EACH installed. So my Big Deal project was under $180 and saved me over $800.
Description of Work: I needed my main shut off valve and front and back water spickets replaced.

+ -1 moreOverall experience was great! I started using the E Chat feature on their website yesterday at approximately 3:45pm and requested a call back. With in 15 minutes I received a call from the owner of the company. I discussed my issue with him and asked his opinion. He stated that he could have some at my home by 5pm on a Saturday to install a new water heater. I chose to have the company come out at 9am the next day (a Sunday). The owner stated a technician would be at home between 9-10am witth a new water heater and the job would take approximately 2 - 2 1/2 hours. The technician arrived promptly at 9am and did give a courtesy call prior to showing up. The technician was friendly, professional, clean, easy to deal with and out in exactly 2 hours. The technician took the time to go over the price with me before starting and it was the same as I was quoted the day earlier. There was NO additional charge for a weekend call. The technician informed me of some standard services and offerings, but didnt force any services on me I wasnt interested in. Finally, the technician took the time to go over the features of the new water heater and how it worked. I would definitely recommend using this company and will call on them in the future for my plumbing and HVAC needs.

+ 1 moreGreat experience. They were on time and very professional. Shoe covers were worn at all times (which is appreciated). They took the time to assess each problem independently and work thru one issue before moving on to another. Although there wasn't a lot they could do to fix the toilet (due to our water) they didn't try to "sell us" a fix either. Honesty was appreciated. They also were willing to discuss plumbing options / issues with us regarding water heaters, clogged drains, reverse osmosis units, water softeners, and upgrades to plumbing (remodeling bathrooms, etc). This was a short visit to resolve immediate issues but also an interview of sorts to ensure we would want to work with them on any future issues --- and we will.
Description of Work: Had two toilets that constantly ran. First toilet also leaked. They changed out the bottom nut / tightened it. Minor adjustments and it was resolved. Second toilet was checked but determination was hard water causing buildup on rings. Manually cleaned it off so it worked temporarily but is back to the same issue. Resolve hard water issue to fix this. While here, they also checked our water heater. It was many years old so we discussed options, costs, etc. Purchased an annual plan for them to return two times to flush water heater, check all plumbing, etc. Opted not to have them flush the water heater at this time as we planned on purchasing a new one.

+ -1 moreI spent about $1,100 on the job. The old water heater was of a good brand. It had 12-year warranty. It was only six years old. I called the brand’s service department. They told me that they could not come out till another week. I told them that I could not do without the hot water for that period of time. So, I panicked and had to call this company. They could come out immediately and they did the job the very same day that I had called them. They did the job quickly. They did a good job. I would rate them very highly. They were responsive and punctual. They were just very amenable about making everything seamless in the transition and taking care of something that was an emergency. They just made it happen the very same day. I thought the price was expensive, but I do not know if I could have gotten the work done at a cheaper price. I will use them again in the future.

We were worried because we have two sink faucets and a bathtub faucet in that bathroom and we want them all to match, and another plumber quoted us over $1,000 for everything. I went to an economy plumbing place with the broken faucet and he gave me the insides of a worn out faucet. My husband didn’t know how to replace it all, so I called the Paramedics and he was able to put the insides from one faucet into the faucet that we already had and that matched everything in the bathroom. He was very pleasant, he was courteous and kind, and he told me upfront that he doesn’t work for commission and that he wasn’t going to try to sell me on something I didn’t need. They sent me a thank you note in the mail afterwards. My husband called on a Saturday and they came first thing Monday morning. They were very prompt.
Description of Work: My husband tried to change the spigot on the faucet in our master bathroom but the interior piping broke in the process. Plumbing Heating Paramedics came and replaced it.

+ -1 moreThey made two repairs, and while I thought the cost of one of the repairs was high, the other price seemed reasonable. Their technician/plumber was courteous, professional, and did his work right the first time. The plumbing inspection that was done under the deal was really a cursory inspection. He caught errors in venting and found a leak in an area where we asked him to examine, but I'm not sure how closely examined the areas where we did not ask him to look. This was fine, it was what was needed (I only point it out, because if you get the whole house inspection deal, I would suggest you cover yourself but having a list of areas you would like inspected).
Description of Work: We bought their inspection and flush deal. In the course of inspection, they found a few other problems which they corrected.

Bryce, the technician, arrived right on time & and was in and out in 1 hour. He was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and very aware of protecting our floors each time he went in & out of our home. He told us a bit about the company, family owned, local and was extremely helpful. He explained & offered some of their additional programs, all of which were directed to our potential future needs. For less than the price of a 'usual' plumbing service call, I received more than my money's worth. Overall, this experience was fantastic. From start to finish, extremely professional! Description of Work: When I needed a walk-in cooler for my floral shop, I was fortunate to have Ryan Carpenter walk into my business! While I was arranging a bouquet for his wife, we chatted, and I learned he owned Plumbing Heating Paramedics. I told him I was moving my shop to a larger location, and asked if he could install a walk-in cooler, and would he be interested in giving me a quote. Ryan said yes, and we agreed to have him call me the following Monday. True to his word, he called, as promised, and met me at the new location to take measurements. I gave him a previous quote for a walk-in cooler & installation I had received from an out of town company. Always preferring to work with a local company, I wanted to make sure Ryan had all the same information available to him that I had. We agreed he'd look everything over, and that he'd call me in a few days. Again, he did just that! (And for those of you who've had construction done, know that just doesn't always happen!!!) Ryan's quote was thousands of dollars LESS than the one I had, for the EXACT same product!!! We signed a contract, I gave Ryan a down payment, and, next thing I knew, my cooler was being delivered!!! Plumbing Heating Paramedics showed up every day, clean, timely, professionally, courteous....I could go on and on! The entire crew did everything as promised, and cleaned up their work area at the end of each day. When the crew went to lunch, they returned on time!!! I never felt uncomfortable, or inconvenienced for a moment. Ryan & Plumbing Heating Paramedics made a major installation an absolute breeze for me!!! They have a guaranteed customer FOR LIFE with me, and when my husband called me on Thanksgiving Eve, around 6:30 p.m. to tell me our kitchen refrigerator had a serious leak, and had flooded the basement space below it, I didn't hesitate to call them! Again, their crew came out within the hour, took care of the problem, and didn't make us feel like we were inconveniencing them on a holiday! They came out when they said they would, looked at the faucet, told me they would have to replace the whole cartridge and why, gave me a price, and I okayed the work. I asked if it would be possible to get a handle with a lever, and they said they would try. They went out to buy the parts, came back with a lever handle and a new cartridge, and had the whole job done very quickly. Asked me to try it out and it worked fine. Very fast, very friendly, and very professional, just like the other job they did for us.

+ -1 moreThis was one of Angie's Big Deals. I called on 12/15/2011 and they called on Friday to set up an appointment on the following Tuesday with a time from 8:30 to 10:30. They called on Monday and said they would be here at 8:30. Bryce called at 8:15 on Tuesday and was here at 8:30 sharp. Checked all our plumbing. Drained our water heater. It had been 2 1/2 years so it needed it. Should be done every year. Gave us a good report on our plumbing. Would definately use them again for services. Bryce was very professional and completed the work in a timely fashion.

+ 1 moreWe had some issues because they had come to do a plumbing inspection that we had purchased on Angie's List. They did some adjusting to one of our toilets and then told us we needed a new one. Our home is four years old and the toilet was not running; it was just making a sound. Their technician replaced some things in it then told us at that point that we needed a new one and we were definitely not happy with that. The owner of the company came out and we hit on a resolution to that; so we were pleased that there was a resolution because we did not feel that a home that is only four years old needed a toilet. I probably will not use them again in the future.

The owner came out a week later and could not find anything they had done to cause our problem. We called again the following week and the company sent out their main man to see what might be going on with our pressure. The man ( Mike ) after trying many things Did find our problem and it was Not anything they had done!! It had to do with our water softener. He corrected the situation and charged us nothing for all the work he did in the 2 hours he was here. We are so pleased with this company and recommend it highly. They are there for their clients no matter what they have to do. They deserve an AAA # rating .
