Plumbing Heating Paramedics

I came home at about 5:30pm on Saturday after being gone all day and noticed the water heater was leaking rusty water all over the garage. I called a number on the water heater and found out that the warranty expired last year, so I got on Angie's List and looked for a service provider. I called Plumbing Heating Paramedics at about 6pm and told the answering service the issue. A technician (Bryce) called me back within minutes. He said he would be here between 7:30 and 8:00pm. He also called about 20 minutes in advance of his arrival (7:40), which was just at 8pm. He said he stopped to pick up a 50-gallon electric water heater which was awesome because that's exactly what we needed, and I hadn't told him the capacity of our current water heater. I thought he might have an issue replacing the water heater because it was behind our Culligan water softener (which has a lot of connections), and it was also behind some furnace ductwork. It took about two hours (and was complicated), but Bryce did an awesome job and we had hot water within an hour after he left. I would give Bryce and this company an A++ rating if I could! I was so impressed with the whole experience that I signed up for their yearly AC/furnace/plumbing inspection/service contract.

They did a good job, they were an A but way too expensive. It would depend upon what the job is and how much it would cost, as to whether I would use them again.

I used an Angie's List Big Deal with Plumbing Heating Paramedics. From the beginning, it was a very positive experience. Scheduling was effortless and the customer rep was friendly and helpful. Given the work I scheduled, she warned me that it would take more than the one hour covered by the Big Deal. I received phone call reminders with a two hour window for the plumber's arrival. He actually arrived 10 minutes early. That NEVER happens. He phoned ahead to let me know when to expect him. When he arrived, he was very friendly and professional. As expected, the work went into the second hour, but he notified me at the time. He was working diligently and quickly--definitely not trying to get into the second hour. The work done in the second hour was a standard fee for replacing the outside faucet. Everything was done to my satisfaction. I will use this company again in the future for any plumbing and probably hvac work.

My 16 year old air conditioner stopped working immediately after another company did the yearly maintenance on it. :( I called Plumbing and Heating Paramedics to get a second opinion and estimate at 3pm the Friday before Memorial weekend. Ryan was here within 40 minutes got me a great estimate and guaranteed installation the next morning. Ryan and his Dad arrived at 7:30am Saturday morning. They spent all morning putting in a new unit, line and coil and we had air conditioning by 1:30 pm :)

My air conditioner had stopped working (it was 19 yrs old) and I decided to replace it, my furnace and my water heater(also 19 yrs old). I had the time to get quotes and called three businesses off Angie's List. Plumber Paramedics was not only the best price but I really enjoyed meeting the owner, Ryan Carpenter, and discussing my options. I never felt rushed and he probably spent an hour at my home. He was an exceptionally nice young man and I had complete trust in him.It was decided to install the furnace and air conditioner on Tuesday and the water heater on Wednesday. The two man crew were on time Tuesday. Ryan's father is the main installer. He explained what they were doing and answered any questions I had. They performed the work very efficiently and cleaned up all the dust and materials. The new programmable thermostat was explained to both myself and my daughter. On Wednesday, the plumber called ahead and arrived when stated. Through a miscommunication, he thought the new product was already in my garage. Within 20 minutes, the owner Ryan Carpenter had brought the water heater and assisted him in the installation. I am very happy with my decision to choose them and would recommend them to anyone.

Bryce arrived on time, replaced a kitchen faucet, and cleaned up after the job. He was courteous and efficient. The job was purchased through a deal of the day on Angie's List, so the cost was very economical. I would highly recommend this company.

I have used them before. But they did all of this unnecessary work and replacements of parts and wires, which cost me alot of money. They sent a couple of guys and once I paid, the owner called saying he was unable to keep sending out workers. He told me to buy new parts so they could do the work. I had another company come out and fix it, which I have written a report on.

This company did an excellent job when I scheduled the previously. I believe I gave them a A. Would have given them an A+.

Hot water heater started leaking Saturday. I left emails for Paramedics and other companies on Sunday and then left to shop around at the 'big box' stores. While shopping, Ryan called and offered his services that same Sunday afternoon. After comparing prices and warrenties, Ryan came out to the house Monday morning. After discussing tank vs. tankless heater we settled on Paramedics doing the job and had hot water a short time later.

I awoke one morning at 5 am to get ready for work and discovered there was no hot water. I assumed my hot water heater had bit the dust as my home is 16 years old. I had no idea whom to call. I found this company on Angie's List and was impressed with the reviews. There was a "chat" area and I clicked on that and got an instant response from Judy who said she'd contact a service person and they would get back to me. By 630 am I had an email from the OWNER of the company, Ryan, saying he would be into work at 8 am and would bet started on it and would get the problem resolved that day. However at about 7 am Ryan CALLED me and we spoke for some time about the problem, where I was located, etc. By that time I was on the way to work. I live alone so there was no one at the house and I am a doctor so I had to go to work. I gave Ryan my garage door code and asked that he send someone over to see what was wrong. By 830 I got I an email from Ryan stating that he personally gone to the house and determined that yes, the hot water heater needed to be replaced. His crew got a new hot water in that day, a 75 gallon one to replace the one that was there. By the time I got home from work I had nice hot water. This type of service is so rarely seen any more. I can't compliment this company enough. They will have all my business in the future.

Our thermostat would automatically drop down to 45 deg F no matter what we set the temperature at. Wanted to have them come and take a look at whether the thermostat was malfunctioning and if needed replace with a basic one that they carried. There was a $69.95 "Service Call charge" and $360.55 charge for a "basic thermostat". I looked up the price of the exact same Honeywell FocusPro TH6000 series online, and the price was about $45 to $60 each. The price was less than that if purchased in bulk, which is what I assume contractors would do. The entire job was done in approximately 20 minutes.I am not aware how much it should cost for replacing a basic thermostat, but it felt like a big rip off.

I have had them out here before, everything is always excellent. In fact, they will be out here next week to help with plumbing issues I have been having due to the water company doing work in the area. They do a great job. I am very pleased with the service I have received from them.

They came by on short notice and took care of my water heater. I was impressed and told them when my contract is with another company, I would use them for my heating and cooling inspections. The owner personally came by and inspected the damage and told me we would be taken care of the same day. They had a new water heater installed by 4 pm. They gave me a special price on the water heater even though the special price had expired.

We spent $149 for annual cleaning of the furnace and air conditioner. This service was for the air conditioner, and Aaron showed me everything he was doing, leveled the outdoor compressor (which another company had told me they would charge extra for), and did a very thorough cleaning of our system, indoors and out. We had been paying more per year for another company to come and do a tune-up, and they had never done the kind of thorough cleaning that Aaron did. He also told me what repairs we could expect in the next two to three years and what they would cost. I was very pleased with the service.

I have used them for heating services as well. They are very good. I really like them. They are just great. They came out the very next day and they were right on time. They were very professional. I will use them again in the future.

There was a sewer-like smell coming from the sink in the masterbath every morning when we run the water. Plumbing Heating Paramedics came to check it, and tightened the pipes under the sink. I would have never figured that out. The smell has gone away. He also adjusted our toilet because it wasn't always flushing properly. We used the Angie's Big Deal and this service call was well worth its value. They wear booties on their shoes when they come in your house, so no tracking mud or dirt onto my carpet. When I called, the lady was very polite, and the gentleman that came was professional and courteous and answered all of our questions. We now have a contact for future plumbing needs, this company is great.

WOW! Once in a while you run into a service company that "gets it". My hot water heater quit working at night. I called PlumbingHeating Paramedics the next morning and they made every effort to get to my house in the same day. I was happy to use my Angie' List discount coupon but the service tech. suggested I look in the Angie" List book. There was another discount coupon. At that point, PHP became my plumbing etc. company for life. Then, I received a hand written thank you note two days later. I am so very impressed

I used the Angie's List coupon I purchased a while ago for two hours of service. Plumber arrived on time and was very professional and helpful. I had only planned to have the faucet installed and the softener checked. He informed me that I still had quite a bit time left and asked me if there was anything else he could do. So I had the water heater flushed as well. Very satisfied with his service.

Overall experience was great. Bryce arrived when he said he would and immediately got to work. He saw where the water heater was leaking and determined it could not be repaired. He drained the water and started working on getting our washer and dryer moved so that he could get the old water heater out. The owner, Ryan showed up to help him and they both got the old water heater out and the new one moved in and installed. They worked quickly and were professional. Later that evening I got a call from Bryce that he had forgotten to hook up the water softner. He came out the next day at lunch and hooked it back up. Incredibly thoughtful and professional. I am in the process of using them again to install a sump pump and I'm sure that the experience will be just as positive. Thanks guys!

Kitchen drain clogged on Easter Sunday and P&HP was able to come out the following week. The plumber, Mike, was very certain that the 30' of cast iron pipe, buried under the slab of the family room, that had been carrying kitchen waste for almost 40 years was going to be completely shot and suggested that we were looking at a $8000 bill for the plumbing and subsequent cosmetic repairs to the hardwood floors and tile. No sugarcoating or "maybe it won't be so bad". We discussed alternatives and came up with a creative way to bypass the whole thing by running a new drain line across the length of the basement and tying into our outside sewer connector. Mike's implementation of the new line was first rate - it looks great! Being an erstwhile handyman, I could appreciate both the quality of his work and that he accomplished in less than a day what would have easily taken 4 days for me to accomplish - this was a job that I'm glad I had a professional do. Also, in the course of the project he replaced - without additional charge - the leaky main shut-off valve (hope this doesn't get him in trouble ....) It's nice not be nickel and dimed on a major project like this. Lastly, they had no issue with me digging the outside pit - which was a nice way to save a little money. I appreciate a company that is willing to let me do some of the work on a project, letting them focus on what they do best.

Received on location quote from Ryan Carpenter (Owner) for replacement of AC and furnace. He explained everything and offered opinions of products. There was no pressure to sign that day. We researched other companies / product lines / options. When we had product questions, Ryan was VERY open to communication with us to help us get what we needed / wanted from a new installation. Very competitive in pricing. Installation day went very smooth. They arrived punctually and within moments were already starting on the job. The two installers (including Owner's Father) were both professionally dressed, not sub-contractors, arrived in company vehicle, did not smoke on worksite (very important to us), and treated us with high respect. Ryan arrived on site with equipment moments later to explain the job to the installers, deliver the furnace / AC units, answer any last minute questions of us as homeowners, and assist with the setup / haul away of the old equipment and boxes. The installers worked timely and efficiently, with minimal need to come into the house (which was important to me due to a dogs). They stayed on the job site until completion. They arrived on site around 8am and were complete by 3pm, installing both new furnace, humidifier and heat pump / AC unit outside. A minor hick-up at the end was quickly acted upon and resolved, with open communication between Ryan and us along the way.

They were great. I felt as though they were very professional and making every attempt to really get their business up and running the right way. Although I didn't have an emergency, they really take the "paramedics" part to heart and are willing to be there if something comes up at any time. Seemed very knowledgeable - as I expected them to be - regarding what happened to the the water heater as well as the faucet, and both were fixed quickly. I'd recommend them.

My kitchen faucet was an expensive one given to me by my son and daughter-in-law for Christmas a year ago. It kept loosening up and wobbled. I'd had it repaired several times and, while it was Ok for a while, it just started to loosen up again. I took advantage of the Paramedics special deal in Angie's List email. The first plumber did fix it but, again, it didn't last. They came back today and took the faucet completely apart. The found a crack in the rear of the faucet base and determined that was the cause of the problem. No only did they fix the faucet, but filled in the crack with some silicone and assured me I wouldn't have the problem any more. The plumber (Mike) could not have been nicer and dealt with the problem in a most professional way. I highly recommend them.
