John Mitchell Moving/Two Guys & A Truck

The whole experience exceeded my expectations. Going into moving I had heard some horror stories, but John's crew was incredible. 3 guys showed up in a new 28' truck exactly on time. They were friendly and courteous. Absolutely no fowl language. The crew leader even gave some new homeowner tips as we moved things. We had boxed up 90% of the condo and had started to move some items downstairs, so that probably saved some time. But these guys were fast. The job was complete and they left our new house in only 4 hours. This was the shortest estimated time they gave. I have already recommended them to my friends and will use them again.

I am a real estate agent who under most circumstances is on the other end of the transaction but last week, my family moved to a new home. I contacted Two Guys and a Truck on a recommendation from a client of mine and I can't tell you how happy I was with the service we were provided. The estimator arrived on time, did a through estimate and explained to me that if we did not need all of the time, the price would be adjusted. Chris, Corey, James & Mike arrived on time for our move and immediately made a good impression on my husband and myself by introducing themselves and shaking our hands. They worked hard, were very careful with our belongings and truly seemed to enjoy their jobs. I without a doubt would recommend Two Guys and a Truck to my friends, family and clients!! Experience started with visit from Bob Johnson - who came to give estimate. We were most impressed that he had already been to the house we were moving to, and had checked for obstructions or other challenges to the trucks. Bob was patient with us, as we hadn't quite finished deciding what we would be giving up as part of our downsizing. After we selected the company, we added a stop for the delivery of some of our furniture - not a problem at all. Although we picked a very hot week to move (temps in the 90s both for packing up and for unloading), the crew was unstoppable. They followed our basic directions well, and when we failed to give directions about a small item that shouldn't have been packed, they dug through the truck to retrieve it. Arrived relatively on time despite having to travel through heavy traffic to reach us. The crew completed their work on both ends in what we felt was much less time than expected. Final cost came in a bit below original estimate - even though we had added several pieces to what we originally thought, and had added a stop.

They were really easy to work with. They were careful and did everything we asked. They were very nice people to deal with.

The gentleman that came to give us our estimate was very thorough. His estimate was right on target. We were able to schedule the date we wanted to move, and we were within 2 weeks of our move date. On our move date, the movers (3 of them) arrived in one truck. We showed them around the house and what all was being moved (everything from our 2-story/basement home). After that, they went around and padded the surfaced that could potentially get damaged, and began loading the truck. It took them a couple of hours to get the truck filled, and they drove it over to our new house. They unloaded it much more quickly. Then they promptly went back and filled the truck with the rest of our belongings. They came back and unloaded just as quickly as they could. They were done in a shorter amount of time than was estimated. But since there was an additional trip, and with tips, it all came out to the initial estimate. The men that were doing the move were professional, careful, and worked quickly and efficiently. Not a single item was broken in the move and everything was placed exactly where we requested. They reassembled all of the beds and double checked to make sure everything was where we wanted it before they left.

They were really good. The quoted me a price. They were on time. They did everything they said they were going to. It was real easy to get a-hold of them and schedule it.

They were great. It was the best move I've ever done. They came in cheaper than the next quote that I got.

They were very fast - an 1,100 square foot house was moved and unloaded in 6 hours. I was disappointed to hear the employees guestimate the amount of tip we should pay them. But as a service industry worker, I understood - they did work fast and hard to move us. Sadly, a very expensive box went missing during the move - a collection of 1970's action figures and Wonder Woman dolls. I did notify the office staff and of course, "nobody remembers seeing anything like that" from our move. I personally packed the box myself and it did not make the move with us.

We had a big move. It ended up being a 12 hr day for these guysI, We probably should have had 2 trucks and 5/6 guys. Cory, Billy and John were amazing and got the job done!! They showed up on time and Cory came to introduce him self and the crew to my husband and then they got to work. They ended up having to do two trips to get it all. The second trip they made three different stops to drop furniture off to family members or storage. These guys busted their butts, ALL DAY!! There was never any standing around talking. I thought I had a piece of work out equipment broke down enough to get through the door but it wasn't so they helped me break it down a little more. I highly recommend this team of guys!!

We had a great experience with this company from the begining. When Bob Johnson came out to estimate he was able re-arrange their schedule and book us on very short notice. On moving day, our movers, Bill,Corey and John were fantastic! They moved us into a third floor apartment WITHOUT an elevator on a very hot day! Great service.

Every interaction with them was fantastic, from scheduling an estimate (they were incredibly flexible), to explaining the process, the scheduling and confirmation, as well as the actual move. The movers were incredibly professional and hard working, and just kept on working, letting me know when they needed my help. We ended up moving more items for ourselves than initially planned, and the movers finished over 3 hours ahead of the estimated time. This brought our moving expense down, as they honored the actual time worked. Additionally, the first thing they did after assessing the place was put up protection in doorways, etc., to protect the furniture. Not a single knicked wall, scratch, or anything, as they were especially cautious! I am completely pleased with this company, and highly recommend them!

On time and friendly. I have never two guys work so hard. I would use them again.

This was the best moving experience either of us has ever had. The entire process was great, from getting the quote to the actual move. I spoke with Ann in the office to get our quote and she was very friendly and thorough. The quote was in line with what we were expecting to spend and the reviews here on Angie's List tipped us towards using this company. We scheduled the move and we were set. Come the day of the move the movers were a bit late, but not to any fault of their own - there was an accident and traffic was backed up. Once they arrived they got right to work. They inspected the items that we had left for them to move and almost immediately started taking stuff downstairs. We had one truck and three guys (Chris, Kris and Corey) and they were all very friendly (AND FUNNY)! They took the time to handle our items with care and to wrap them for protection once they got them into the truck. They also put guards on the doorways to make sure they didn't scuff anything up while taking it out. Even with the great care they took, they moved FAST! Once they got the truck loaded they followed me over to our new home. Once they got there and got the truck situated, I gave them a quick tour to show them where items would be going. They immediately got right to work unloading the truck. Again, they took great care of the items and the home while unloading, also wrapping the doorways and banisters/rail of the stairs to keep everything in good shape. They unloaded just as quickly as they loaded, and they were done in even less time than we were quote and expecting. Everything got moved without incident -- there was no damage done to any of our items or either property. We could not have asked for a more smooth moving experience. We absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking to move!

They packed and unpacked everything for us. They were very courteous, and they did a fine job. That's why I keep using them. I just think the price and the service is good. The price wasn't cheap. They were on time, and they did everything as needed.

I have called them 3 times and they have not called me back.

They were friendly, careful with our furniture, worked hard and fast. The apartment is temporary, and I will definitely call them to move us into our home once it's ready.

In early August we requested a quote from Two Guys. They were prompt and thorough in proving a quote, and well priced. Unfortunately our budget changed, and we opted to move ourselves to save money, but had we not had significant unexpected expenses, we would have hired Two Guys without a doubt.

Very good. They were excellent movers. They were very careful with my belongings unlike most movers.

We hired the company to move our things from a 1-story ranch to a 2-story home with basement about 6 miles apart from each other. They sent 2 trucks with 3 men to do the work. This was our first time working with a moving company, so we weren't sure how the move would go. We were very happy with the work they performed. They worked so quickly yet carefully. In fact, while they originally quoted us an 8 hour job, it only took them 4.5 hours! The men took care not to hit the walls, which was impressive considering the stairs leading upstairs and down to the basement were very tight. Considering it rained for part of the move, the men took care not to track mud into our new home. The only issue we had was that they accidentally forgot to unload a couple of small kitchen appliances from one of the trucks. Once the mistake was found, they apologized and brought them out to us. After initially being worried on how it would all work out, we can now say that we'd definitely recommend using this company to move your things.

They were outstanding. The price was great. They were neat. They did everything correctly. They did whatever I asked them they did.

They were excellent. I considered this a fairly specialty moving job considering each piece of equipment was over 400 lbs and very awkward to move. I had a treadmill that had to go to one location and up a flight of stairs and an elliptical that had to go to a completely different location and up 3 flights of stairs. Everything went very smoothly and I was very impressed with their professionalism. They gave us a great price and kept it at a flat fee even though we required two drop off points. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Great. They were on time. Carefully moved items out of house and from storage unit. Most important they packed truck extremely well for a 750 mile drive that included lots of hills and steep drives. Even though truck was not filled and things could move around, nothing did and everything arrived intact including plasma TV and other fragile items.

We had an excellent experience. Our 5 man moving team was very hardworking and professional. I was quoted T&M not to exceed approx. $1,800 and the final bill was approx. $1,300. There is no question I would use this company again. No complaints.

The moving crew (Marc, Billy & Ty) professionally loaded my belongings and moved them to my new home. They were polite and curteous. We had no problems throughout the move. They carefully handled my furniture and everything was delivered without damage. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to pack nearly everything into one load, thus saving the expense of a second trip!
