John Mitchell Moving/Two Guys & A Truck

We actually had 5 guys and 2 trucks to move all of our stuff! The guys were really great! They all worked very effieciently and tirelesly. I was impressed with their professional manner.

Quick response to inquiry, estimate performed and documented. Scheduled without difficulty. Three men came with truck, on time. Very professional, careeful with our funiture and boxes (we had packed). Did have to make two trips across town as all items did not fit on truck. Paid the amount of the original estimate despite the extra trip. Good experience overall; would definitely recommend!

This company was great to deal with. From the person that I spoke with on the phone to the movers. I set up the move and then realized I didn't want to move that day because I wouldn't have my TV installed yet. (I know it is pathetic that I didn't want to be without TV for a week end) So when I called and told her that ,she just laughed it off and put me on for the day that I wanted. When the movers showed up, TJ & Andy, I was very impressed with them. They were very careful with my stuff and so polite. I was living in an apartment at the time and had watched other movers tear up trim on doorways and even bust the exit sign, none of that with these two, they were great. I would absolutely use this company again.

Great guys and worked very hard and fast. No damage and they took great care. I would recommend you have them come out and give you a quote to avoid "we didn't know you had this much to move" scenarios. But overall the experience was good and the price was great.

The men were nice and courteous and worked non-stop even though it was 104 degrees that day. They did the job under the estimated time I was given on the quote. During the unload I pointed out the coat tree had a spindle missing and they stated they would look in the trucks for it. After they had left I found damage to a wall in the master closet. It was a gouge in the wall approximately 18 to 24 inches long and had chipped out areas of the drywall. I have a picture if you would like it. No mention of the damage was made at the time of the move. When I called to report the damage and the missing spindal I was once again told they would look in the trucks. The response to the damage however was poor. First the man I talked to couldn't believe it had been caused by his people and couldn't believe it was as bad as I said. He did not offer to come out and look at it, only that he would call in a couple of days to see about repairing it. After 2 weeks I repaired it myself. The attitude from this man was unacceptable. They use their Angies List rating as a selling point. I would never use this company again or recommend them to anyone. In fact if I heard someone was going to use them I would try to talk them out of it. I'm sure the men who actually did the work will be the fall guys and that's a shame. Accidents happen and they should have said something to me at the time about the wall. However the way I was spoken to on the phone was unprofessional.

Called John Mitchell movers and spoke with John. He was very clear on availability, price, expectations and what services they could provide. We booked the move and the day of the move the 3 guys showed up on time, were very professional, and took very good care of furniture and protecting both the house we moved from and house we moved to. One dresser go a very small little ding in it by accident and they took the piece back with them and it was completely fixed and back in 2 days without a scratch on it. Overall we were extremely pleased with this crew that moved us and would absolutely recommend John Mitchell movers to all of our friends and would use them again.

My fianc? and I were very pleased with the overall experience. Almost all of our boxes were appropriately labeled which allowed for easy unpacking. We have not noticed any damage to any of our belongings at this point.

Overall okay, but I was expecting more. I would recommend that they do a physical quote and not just a phone quote. I got the quote for a 2 bedroom apartment and a 10' x 10' storage unit to be moved into a house and another storage unit (there were going to be other storage units moved, but it did not happen due to the size of the truck they sent). The truck they sent should have been enough for it, but it wound up having to be 2 trips on seperate days. The problem probably was because I gave them the info that I could think of and there were not a lot of questions asked (like better descriptions of furniture sizes, fullness of storage unit, etc). So we were both to blame. There was a slight discount given on the second trip, I just thought it would have been more. In total, the original quote would have been around $850-950, but wound up costing around $1400. Get a physical quote for any mover and you can save this from happening.

We called and a very polite man came out and gave us a very reasonable estimate and was very thorough. He answered all our questions. The move was scheduled. 4 guys came with two trucks and worked very hard for 6 hours. They allowed me and a few friends to help bring stuff out to the driveway which saved me some money (they are paid by the hour). They also drove over and moved all the stuff from my storage unit. We were very impressed and will recommend this company to all our friends.

They were very careful and gentle. They asked me where the furniture should go and they moved it to the correct location. Everything was right and great.

The men (Tim, Billy, Danny and Brian) worked very hard and hustled, It was a pretty hot day too. They were very careful with our belongings. I do not believe anything was damaged. The final price came in under the estimate, which was nice. They used a large box truck and a van with a box on it. It took two loads in each truck to get everything moved. They started at 9:00 and were completed by 5:00. I would use John Mitchell Moving again.

Great job! Three friendly but professional guys showed up on time, were careful with our belongings, worked fast and final cost was less than quoted.

I called on Wednesday, and two movers were scheduled to arrive by 9AM on Friday morning. They showed up on time, and were courteous, professional and cordial. I showed them what needed to be moved, including a large mahogany entertainment center that was to have gone in our bedroom, but United Van Lines (4 guys) couldn't get it in, so it wound up in an area that was too small for it. I thought I'd have the two guys move it into the basement, but they asked me where I really wanted it to go. I told them, and they said they could probably do it. And they did!! I was beyond thrilled! They then proceeded to move multiple items around the house (3 floors, 4000 finished square ft). They worked quickly and efficiently. It seems like every two seconds they wanted to know what to do next. There was a two hour minimum (explained to me before they came out), and when they were done sooner, they urged me to think of anything else I needed done. So I even had them move around some things I expected to take care of myself. All this, at an extremely reasonable price. I really just couldn't be happier. I recommend them to anyone, and will use them again whenever the need arises.

Best Movers Ever! They quoted what I needed moved, with a "to not exceed" dollar amount. The quote was very reasonable, and thinking we could move our own boxes, he put in a provisional dollar amount, just in case we wanted the movers to move the boxes.We were so exhausted, we had them move all the boxes. What a godsend!We had four movers and two trucks. These men rarely stopped, and moved everything quickly, efficiently, and without any damages.Highly recommend!

Arrived early, moved all my very heavy items. They earned a well-deserved tip. Very professional and careful with my furniture.

When I called to book the movers, there was a very nice, helpful woman on the other end of the phone, and she was terrific. I called back to confirm the arrival time of the movers, and the guy I spoke to was gruff and somewhat condescending. The movers themselves showed up relatively on time. They whined their way through the whole move, from beginning to end. When we got to the new place, they broke a drop-ceiling tile with the bed frame. I can't believe this company got such great reviews in the past. These movers were just not very professional. I would not like to use them again.

Our house was on the market. Our realtor called us on July 13 and said that everything was ready for closing and it could occur as early as July 17. This was too early for us as we weren't finished packing and didn't have movers lined up yet so closing was moved to July 20. I called Two Guys and a Truck on July 13 received a verbal estimate and scheduled an appointment for them to move us on July 19. I was told to expect them around 1pm and that they would call when they were on the way. They got done with their prior job ahead of time and called about 11:30am to let us know they were on their way over. My wife met them at our house and said they were very efficient loading the moving truck and nothing was scratched or damaged. I met them at our new condo and we directed them where to unload everything. The were very efficient with the unloading as well. They temporarily removed our front door for more easy access and put padding over the stair rails and some other areas to avoid possibly scratching anything . They also moved a very heavy china cabinet to a nearby storage unit that we had rented. They worked almost 3 hours in over 90 degree heat. We received a 10% discount for being Angie's List members. We will likely be moving again in another year or so and will definitely be calling Two Guy's and a Truck to move us again.

The men had really large items to move and they worked none stop in the sweltering heat. They came in under the estimated time.

Fantastic Experiance. On the phone they estimated 5 hours to move and that is what it took. As a retired military officer having moved over 15 times, I consider this one of the best moves ever. These guys didn't take many breaks and they were not only very careful with my stuff, but also both houses ensuring not to hit walls and such. I have already recommended them to other folks. Very professional, very careful, great price.

They did a great job. They were very careful with heavy items that had to be moved through tight doorways and up and down stairs. Danny and Charles worked very hard and efficiently. I couldn't have been happier. I highly recommend these guys ... well worth the hourly rate. The price was reasonable although at the time of my estimate I was not informed of the trip charge. In spite of this I am still very pleased with the service.

The gentlemen that gave the estimate was very professional, which was one of the reasons, in addition to the positive comments on Angie's List that I picked this company. However, it all went wrong on moving day. Here's the overview: - The movers were 30 minutes early, which was fine - I'd rather them be early than late - One of the movers made it a point to tell me, more than once, that he did not want to be at work that day, as he was supposed to go camping. He continued to complain about asking to be put on a smaller job and being told he had to do this move, as the estimator had requested him personally. - Packing and loading went fine - the trouble was when we arrived at my new place What went Wrong: - I have a three-level condo and the movers knew the couch probably wouldn't fit up the stairs, so taking it over a balcony was the best option. Instead of doing it the right way the first time, they tried to shove the couch up the stairs, getting it stuck, and denting and scratching freshly painted walls. The mover then told me it wasn't a big deal that they had messed up my walls - not what a customer wants to hear when they are just moving in and just had the walls fixed.- After the movers left, I went upstairs to my bedroom to find my dresser - It had been dinged and scratched in several different areas. We could have worked through this, however, they chose not to tell me about it. Even worse, they tried to cover up the dings with a Sharpe market. My three-year old niece could have colored better. Mistakes happen, but trying to cover it up with a marker and failing to tell me about it is down right dishonest. BUYER BEWARE - I would not use this company!
