John Mitchell Moving/Two Guys & A Truck

Made appointment to have furniture moved within house from upstairs to downstairs. Had to cancel for personal reasons, but was please with all dealings with this company. Will use again in future.

Very positive experience. The promised "two guys" arrived exactly on time and worked without a break until the move was completed. I had prepared a layout of the house & labeled each piece to be moved with a Post-it note. They clearly know their business. They worked so efficiently that I asked if they got paid by the hour or the job. While it was none of my business, they worked as If they were paid by the job, but are paid by the hour,

The day of the move was the day of the ice storm the previous night. Ice was still present on the day of the move. The moving team of Chris, Jams & Mike could not have been better. They were prompt, professional, courteous and had a sense of humor. This team worked well together and Chris's experience in handling customers concerns was outstanding. He listened and helped come to a workable solution for completing the move without any complaints from the homeowners. This team did everything we asked of them. The move was complete in a timely fashion and both my husband and me were completely satisfied with our choice (it was a housewarming gift for our son and daughter-in-law and our grand kids). We would highly recommend this company. The owner Mr. John Mitchell was also easy to communicate with and delivered as promised.

The movers were on-time, friendly, efficient and clearly knew what they were doing. They could not have been better. There was nothing too strange about the move but there were several heavy/odd items including washer/dryer, adjustable bed, and ping-pong table. Destination address had some items going upstairs and some to the basement but they accomplished without issue. They came in under time and less than the quote even though there were some additional items I hadn't mentioned when scheduling. I would definitely recommend for an in-town move. Saved a lot of time and effort. Also, very nice to speak with over the phone.

They were on time, very efficient and took special care with some older pieces of furniture.

I can't say anything except TJ, Tim and Billy were AWESOME! They showed up promptly at 830 and had the truck loaded and dropped off by 1230 which included a 40 mile drive to greenwood. Nothing was dropped or broken, and no walls or doors scratched or dinged. I would hire these guys in a heartbeat again. Just can't say enough good things about my experience!!!

Great customer service over the phone, very pleasant and professional. Bill and Phil were my movers that moved my possessions from a 2 bedroom home to a storage unit. They were very careful with my items using padding and blankets to protect furniture that needed it. The guys needed to take my front door off to fit my dining room table through as it was assembled inside the house and they were gentle handling my table and the door. They packed the truck very well and arranged my items into storage in a smart and safe manner. Thank you for your services!

We called John Mitchell Moving/Two Guys & A Truck to schedule a very last minute move. They were very accommodating. They had a few jobs already planned however they were able to squeeze us in AND have 3 movers work on our place so we could get everything done quickly. These 3 employees were fantastic. They were able to move our fully furnished (heavy furniture) home up 3 flights of stairs in a little over 3 hours. All our furniture was handled with care and they remembered where everything went from our old place to our new one. They even offered to help up fix a mark on our furniture that was there from another mover. We could not have been more thankful for them and appreciate their hard work. Thank you again.

The move went very good, We actually hired this company to just move the heavy stuff. However they had moved all the heavy stuff so quickly , that we decided to have them go back for a 2nd pickup , to pick up all the boxes that were packed, and other stuff For example , all the clothes hanging on hangers They just took all the clothes and wrapped them in moving blankets, and moved them to for us, and re hanged all the clothes . This alone saved us alot of time, because of not having to pack them. Thumbs up for this moving crew ....

This was a difficult assignment moving a large and heavy entertainment center from our family room to the basement. The three man crew took extraordinary care to do the job safely and carefully making sure that no walls or floors were damaged in the process. The relocation involved a narrow stair with a turn. i was quoted a $255 flat fee on the phone. I gave a $30 tip in addition The crew repeatedly asked if there was anything else I needed them to do and made sure that I was satisfied. They were most cordial. They had difficulty with their truck and arrived 90 minutes after their appointment The office failed to call me. I called I after one hour and got the reason for the delayed. Nevertheless I would readily use them again.

The movers were very prompt, polite and efficient. They worked VERY quickly and finished the moved faster than the time we were quoted so our bill was much less than we expected. We appreciated their honesty and care of our belongings. They took very good care of our furniture. We were VERY impressed with our Two Men and a truck and would highly recommend them for your moving needs. They were training another young man and explained every move, technique and safety issue as they went with no stopping. We will definitely use them again when needed.

Both moves went very well. The first time we had 5 guys and two trucks - the second time, 4 guys and two trucks. Both times the lead crew was Chris and Kris with a different second crew each time. These guys work their butts off - they do take breaks from time to time for drinks, etc. but nothing more than is necessary. They also have fun working - we enjoyed their banter and it made the day go more quickly. We have many antiques and both crews really knew how to handle moving such items. in fact, they suggested some packing and breakdown of items that we hadn't considered. They also moved our upright piano. There were a few scuffs on a couple of pieces of furniture - but nothing more than what you would expect in moving things twice in 6 weeks and certainly less than if we had tried to do it ourselves. Only one small hiccup - the owner of the company did not show up for our original estimate time - he sent someone else out the next day and he showed up on time. I almost gave up on them after that initial problem - but glad I stuck with them.

They responded promptly to my request and gave me a quote. We scheduled the move at 9:00am and the guys showed up on time! After 1 hour of moving, one of the guys threw his back out. They called to get some help and 2 more guys showed up, so we had 3! The move went very well, they were extremely careful not to scrape any walls, beams, floors, etc. Very friendly and reliable. They were willing to put things together for us and made sure we were completely satisfied before they left. If I ever move again, I would definitely use them.

Tim, Billy and Jarrod were awesome! They were actually early for the appointment, moved very quickly, and were very organized! I think the price was very reasonable for 2.5 hours of work. I would hire these guys again in a heart beat, and will definitely recommend them to others. Thank you John Mitchell Moving!

Our crew arrived on time and introduced themselves. They were extremely knowledgeable and careful with all of her possesstions. They were patient with her questions and accomodating with last minute changes. They were tidy and considerated even though it was a rainy and cold day. They had everything we needed from tools to boxes. The worked tirelessly through the day in a possitve way. We appreciate how friendly they were making this day very pleasant. I cannot say enough about our crew, Todd, Chris, Danny, and TJ. We would definitely use them again and hightly recomend this company. They even came in under their original estimate.

I was extremely disappointed with the follow through and commitment to clients. We had scheduled an appointment for John to come out and have him give an estimate for Saturday 10/13. However, He had a scheduling conflict and needed to reschedule. Then we rescheduled for Monday morning 10/15 @ 1100 AM. At 1057 John called and told me his secretary had not shown up for work and he could be out there at 200PM. I asked him why he didn't call me earlier and He explained that he was hoping that she would show up. Anderson is well over 30 minutes from my house in Meridian Kessler. So, he definitely knew much earlier that he wouldn't be able to keep our appointment. John didn't really seem to care he apologized, but it didn't seem totally genuine. I honestly don't get many days off of work and to wait around for a moving estimate would've been such a waste of an entire day after I had already wasted my entire morning. My advice would be that if you have to worry about time and have a busy life I would not consider getting an estimate from John Mitchell Moving. We decided to use an Angie's List company that has been a super service winner for 10 years and the owner showed up 10 minutes early. It was much appreciated.

Upon contacting John Mitchell, an estimate and date for moving was scheduled the same day. I had to move the estimate time due to court date and have a Constable present due to eviction, they were flexible and worked with me. Upon Day 1 of packing - they were great...it was a horrible experience for me as the house had been destroyed, and the guys (Chris, Chris, and Ty) worked effeciently, were polite, considerate, to get this done as fast as possible. They even helped me push refridgerator back and plug in garage door opener. Day 2 was the actual move with 2 trucks and brought an extra guy. They had to move the possessions further away than I thought. I had a time commitment and they worked through lunch to get things done on time. I can't recommend this team enough - professional, effecient, hard working, and polite.

The crew of 3 men were punctual, diligent and hard working. Good job.
