I sent an email to Tim Patrick of HBTH after reading several positive responses on Angie?s List providing one line descriptions of the eight items of work I needed done. To my surprise within one day I received an approximate cost estimate for the work and understood that it was ballpark and the labor would be charged on an hourly basis as the name of the company implies. As with any good business practice Tim wanted a signed copy of the estimate to know I was serious about them doing the work. I read some other reviews that thought the commitment to sign an estimate was onerous ? all I can say to those persons is it is a fair practice and cements the client-customer relationship that I would normally expect from any reputable business person. Also, after I expressed some concern over the timing of the scheduling Tim emailed me and said he just had a new opening and was able to come in a week earlier than he had originally indicated. The work covered many disciplines including electrical, carpentry and plumbing. All were completed to my complete satisfaction and without any wasted time to ?drive up? the fee. Chris was the main person on the job and worked through lunch time to complete all the work in a timely fashion. He also took the time make certain I was completely satisfied with the work before he left. He was excellent. Tim came by earlier in the day and completed some of the tasks while Chris was out buying materials. Tim is very personable and is very creative in solving problems. As you can tell by the write up I am completely satisfied with all aspects of the work they did. And this is not a negative, but more of a suggestion; since they charge by the hour, a listing of the hours on the invoice would be an improvement. Having said that, I kept my own record of the hours and after extending my totals by the rates I came with $1.00 of the $400.00 labor price on the invoice. That's pretty good.

We called Handyman By The Hour to give us an estimate of minor repairs that we needed/wanted done per a Home Inspection report (not that we're selling, but to review our 24 yr. old home). Tim Patrick was very professional, listened to our concerns and within a couple of days emailed a fair & detailed estimate with start/completion dates.Mr. Patrick & Chris did a great job and completed all projects in one day with the exception of the "gable walls" which were on the original estimate. After further inspection it was discovered there was no wood behind these areas for the repairs to adhere.We received an adjusted invoice which we felt was very fair, and a couple of days later received an estimate if we wanted to invest further in the replacement of the "gable walls".Overall we were completely satisfied with Handyman By The Hour.

Could not ask for better service. The response to emails and phone calls is the best. No waiting for days as with other companies. Job was completed and I had a few minor concerns. Tim took the time to stop by the same day and take care of the few minor problems. Highly recommended!!!!! Could not ask for better service.

I have used Handyman by the Hour for a number of years for small handyman projects. Tim also replaced all the windows on the front of my home. Tim works with a window person who orders windows that have the same appearance as the existing windows I has replacing. My home has a mixture of casement and double hung windows. While the double hung windows are in good shape the casements needed replacement. Tim brought a team in the complete the replacements ahead of schedule. He will be replacing the two casement windows I have on the back of my home this spring. Tim is professional, prompt and honest. When the job is beyond his area of expertise or too large he will tell you so and recommend someone for you to call.

We found them through Angie's List. They are excellent. The price was fair.

This was our BEST Angie's List experience thus far! I called Tim yesterday morning and got the repair done the next day. This was very important because there was a hole in our insulation and birds were getting in. We were also concerned about water damage. We really appreciate the prompt and excellent service Tim provided. If we could give a grade higher than an A+ we would!

Fantastic job and quick work. Very experienced, professional and clean. Everything worked correctly the first time. Had all the necessary supplies handy, so did not need to waste time traveling to the store for parts. I have already scheduled time for another estimate for other work around the home. I would definitely recommend the Handyman By The Hour team!

We got three bids for repairs on our windows, all top-rated on Angie's List. I met with Tim Patrick from Handyman By The Hour, and he told me he'd go ahead and inspect the windows and send me his estimate by email, so I came back into the house and let him do his work. He found eight windows needing repair, and recommended three windows for total replacement. Our other two bidders found nineteen and sixteen windows needing repair. Both felt they could repair the three windows that Solutions recommended replacing. With the company we eventually hired, I was actually invited to accompany him on his inspection, so I was convinced as to what repairs were necessary. Additionally, Handyman's bid was at minimum $2,000 higher than the other two bids.

Tim is so professional and great to work with. I will continue to use his company for other home repairs.

Prompt response once I contacted Tim. Bathroom vents needed to be vented to outside, so this was delayed a little because of the weather. However, once they got started everything went smoothly. Also discovered one of the vents wasn't working properly, so Tim replaced that. He even went to the store and purchased one for us! We have used HBTH numerous times for different projects and have always been pleased by the quality of work and professionalism.

They are great. They did an excellent job. They are very thorough. They are incredibly responsive and nice. They let you know all the time what is going on. If there is a need, I would not hesitate to prefer them.

Tim does a great job. i've used Tim for several years. Tim's quality of work is amazing so im happy to pay a little more for a job well done. He is always here when he says he will be. cleans up any mess. i was going to replace a screen door on my porch with storm door. he picked it up for me. unfortunately he said it wouldnt work well because it wasn't really meant for storm door. outside would have to be modified and didnt want to have that expense. Tim was so nice to return the door for me. he went that extra mile for me and i really appreciate it.

I like that no job is too small with them. They are very helpful will odd jobs that you don't have time to get around to.
