Deck Pro

When I bought the deal, Jason emailed and came right out and gave me a written estimate. I gave the go-ahead and he put me on the schedule, arrived on the agreed date and went right to work. He thoroughly power washed the decks til they looked almost new (for an extra fee he also power washed my driveway and sidewalks). We had a rain delay for a few days, but then he came back and applied the stain color we had picked out. There was no carpentry, replacing wood or other repairs involved. The decks look great! Jason was polite, agreeable, hard-working and on time, so I definitely recommend Deck Pro.

Our deck is 20 years old and was looking really gray and tired. But worse, it was like ice when it rained. The power washing perked everything up, and it isn't slick anymore. We are very happy!

I was not home when the work was performed but I came home to a beautiful looking deck.

I bought a deal for a deck refinishing service for $199, which seemed like a great price. The reviews were pretty good, so I went for it. Initially, it took several attempts to communicate with DeckPro to set up the appointment. Once I was able to get a hold of them, I had discussed with them that on top of the service, I wanted them to examine the wood in the deck and replace any dry rotted or otherwise compromised boards (obviously, this would be an extra cost and I was more than happy to pay for it). They agreed to that and had scheduled a time to come deal with the deck during the day during the week. They said I didn't need to be home, since they didn't need any internal access, which was fine. On the scheduled appointment day, I never heard from them, so I wasn't even sure they did the work. When I got home, it was clear they had refinished the deck, but also very clear they hadn't bothered to look at any of the boards, since one of them was clearly cracked and compromised. To be clear, they did actually do the work I paid for and I have no complaints about that. However, they also ignored the work I really wanted them to do (and wanted to pay them to do). Pretty lackadaisical, if you ask me. I guess they didn't want any more of my business.

It's been not even a year yet and the green is back. I think that the refinish should last longer than that..

I used a coupon and he said he needed more money because it was a larger deck. I paid him, but I didn't think that was right. He is a nice enough man. He said he was going to come back and do my driveway, but he never did. He had to come back because he missed some loose boards that he probably should have done in the first place. I wasn't happy with him. He responded fast to us. If it was raining he couldn't come. He was punctual.

They were nice guys, and the quality was good.

Jason was very easy to get a hold up, very responsive and quick to get the job scheduled and completed. The work was done pretty well, we had a couple spots where stain got onto our house but Jason came out the next day and cleaned off so we were very pleased. We would hire him again.

He did a great job. Will hire again next time.

I never realized how new my cedar deck rails could look! The service was done while I was at work, hassle free and high quality.

Very well, it needs another coat this spring

The previous owner had used latex paint on pressure treated wood. I hired Jason (bad mistake) to fix the problem the previous owner had caused. A concern that I had raised with Jason was the paint was peeling and if we put a stain on top would it continue to peel. He said, “it won’t be a problem.” Another concern I had was my dogs running on the deck and scratching the new stain off, and of course, he replied, “it won’t be a problem.” His workers came and what I noticed about the two men is that they were more professional than Jason. My only issue with them is that I wished they would have pointed out the rotting boards before they stained over. Maybe they contacted “Grunting Jason” about it and he told them to stain over them. Who knows? The second problem with Jason, first being he lied about stain over paint, was he overbilled us. When he mailed me the final invoice, I texted him asking for his email because I wanted to send him some information. His response was not very professional, but he said “why do you need that” I explained why and he reluctantly gave it to me. We paid him in full. Below is a timeline of emails and text messages I had with Jason over the last year. His last response to me was 08/09/2016. Mark: 06/16/2016 – Hi Jason, our deck is starting to peel in places, and I was wondering when you could come over and look at it. Jason: 06/01/2016 – No problem what's your address Mark: 7/27/2016 – Hi Jason, never heard back from you about coming over to look at the deck. Let me know what times work well for you. JASON: DIDN’T RESPOND Mark: 08/7/2016 – I sent him a copy of my previous 3 emails JASON: NO RESPONSE TEST MESSAGE CONVERSATION: Mark: 08/09/2016 – Does your email work? I have sent you 3 emails and no response. Jason: 08/09/2016 – I’m on vacation Mark: 08/09/2016 – Didn’t know that (At this point I asked myself. Doesn’t he know how to use vacation message in his email.) Mark: 09/10/2016 – Are you back from vacation? Do I need to schedule a time for you to see my deck next year? I have been contacting you since June 1, 2016. JASON: NO RESPONSE Just remember if you decided to use Jason, his famous phrase along with a grunting is “it won’t be problem” followed by a grunt. By the way, Jason, writing this review…was not a problem! Also, Jason please send the $650 refund to my address

He had charge the same as he had charge when he did three years ago so that was good. We had the Angieslist thing but our deck was larger so we paid a little bit more but all in all it was the same as what we had paid three years ago when we had another Angieslist deal. That he was very careful in taking all the deck furniture off and careful in not harming anything.

Had some weather issues and so on but I think this was pretty smooth and these things go. Price was good and am very satisfied with work and the attention I received. They worked with me on getting the color right, came back to fix a spot missed, etc and the finished product looks great. Would highly recommend them.

I purchased deck power washing and staining services worth $233 on August 1 and after approx. 13 calls and 6 emails over a 3 week period to set up an appointment, there was only one response, to which no others were received. It is now one week before thanksgiving and still no response or appointment scheduled. I am now waiting on a refund.

I had a really good experience with Jason. He showed up when he said he would, provided timely quote and scheduled us as quickly as he could. The work was good and when we needed him to come back out to clean up some stain that had gotten onto the siding of the house, he responded immediately and took care of it the next business day. I would definitely use Deck Pro again.

They came to my home the next day after my call to inform me of the cost for the job. They returned 2 days later to power wash but had to wait a couple more days because of rain and then to let the deck dry out because it is positioned in a northern exposure. They sprayed on the stain and I would have preferred them to brush it on. But, they worked very efficiently and were finished in about 1 1/2-2 hrs. I was very pleased with how effectively they worked and would not hesitate to call them again in another few years.

It went better than expected. One of the things that made me wait to have the work done is that I have a huge table that I need help with moving back and forth. But, Deck Pro managed to do the work and get the table back on the deck which i greatly appreciate. They left a color booklet with some recommended shades and returned the next day to complete the work. Everything was done perfectly and my deck looks fantastic.
